Abstract

This research is motivated by the demands of improving the quality of education in private educational institutions often faced with budget constraints. This study aims to analyze the impact of budget constraints on implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) and to identify effective and efficient TQM implementation strategies in these conditions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type at SMP Queen Ibnu Sina, Banyuwangi. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, vice principal, teachers, and administrative staff, observation and documentation studies. The study's results indicate that budget constraints significantly impact initial TQM investments, such as staff training and system development, as well as on ongoing TQM maintenance, which led to the selection of more affordable internal evaluations. Nevertheless, the institution demonstrated resilience by implementing several adaptive strategies. Prioritizing areas for improvement is the primary strategy. Creative use of internal resources has also proven effective. External collaboration with MGMP, professional organizations, and the government opens up access to resources and expertise that are difficult to reach independently. Strong leadership, staff commitment, effective communication, budget transparency, ongoing evaluation, and a culture of continuous improvement are also necessary. The study concluded that TQM implementation can still be effective in private institutions with limited budgets through adaptive strategies such as prioritization, utilization of internal resources, and external collaboration, supported by strong leadership and an organizational culture that supports improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the role of teachers and offer a hybrid model-based educator development strategy that maintains pedagogical essence in the era of digital disruption. The approach used is qualitative with the type of case study, at MTS At-Taufiq North Kundur. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observation, documentation, and document study. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity checks through triangulation of sources, methods, and observers. The results showed that AI is not a threat, but rather a trigger for the transformation of the teacher's role into a more strategic learning facilitator. The hybrid model is proven to be effective in improving teachers' digital competence, but the inequality of access to technology is the main obstacle, especially in the 3T area. The contribution of this research lies in developing a technology-based educator development strategy that maintains human aspects, providing applicable recommendations for policy makers and educational institutions in optimising AI inclusively. Abstract

This study aims to analyze how educational financing management can improve the quality of students at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Amiriyyah Blokagung Banyuwangi. Quality education requires efficient financing management to create a conducive learning environment. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, focusing on financing policies. Data were obtained through interviews with principals, teachers, and education fund managers, as well as related documents. Data analysis used data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that although the available education funds are quite large, their planning and management are still not optimal, with most of the funds being used for routine expenses. Immature planning results in limited allocation for facility development and improving the quality of teaching. Therefore, policies such as priority-based budgeting, diversification of financing sources, and budget management training need to be implemented to improve the quality of education. With good financing management, learning facilities can be improved, teacher professional development can be prioritized, and student quality can be significantly improved.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze customer satisfaction where students and parents are the main indicators in assessing the quality of education in madrasas, with a focus on the quality of teaching, educational facilities, and communication between madrasas and parents. Teaching quality includes teacher competence, effective learning methods, and the ability to convey material clearly, especially in Islamic religious education. Apart from that, teacher interaction with students and parent involvement in the educational process are also important factors that influence satisfaction. Through a qualitative approach with the case study method, data was collected through in-depth interviews with students, parents and teachers at selected madrasas. The research results show that teaching quality is the key element that most influences customer satisfaction. Teachers who are competent not only in academic aspects but also in providing moral and spiritual guidance are highly valued by students and parents. In addition, adequate educational facilities and open communication between madrasas and parents also contribute to increased satisfaction. This research found that feedback from customers (students and parents) is important in developing sustainable madrasah quality management. The results of this research provide recommendations for madrasas to continue to improve teacher competency through training and professional development, as well as improving educational facilities and strengthening communication with parents. In this way, madrasas can continue to be relevant and competitive in meeting the demands of educational modernization without ignoring Islamic identity.
