Abstract

The development of the chips center area as a tourist destination does not merely rely on the existence of diverse chips products. Other factors also need to be considered, one of which is the visual character of the region. Character strengthening refers to the ability of an area to be understood, interpreted, and dinvigation easily by visitors. In the context of tourist destinations, character strengthening has an important role in attracting tourists and ensuring a pleasant tourist experience. The famous chips center area in Bandar Lampung City is in the corridor of Jalan Pagar Alam. This chip center area has the potential to become an attractive culinary destination for both local and foreign tourists who are projected to become triggers as economic growth in the local area through culinary tourism and shopping tourism. The research method used is SWOT and Appreciative Inquary (AI) by mapping the potentials that exist in the Pagar Alam Jalan Chips Center. Data analysis methods use quantitative descriptive and descriptive qualitative. City design elements identified and analysis are: Figure ground, environment, land use, pathways, nodes and landmarks. The five elements of the city design can strengthen the character and image of the area in the Center for Jalan Pagar Alam as a tourist destination if planned and well organized. Development of the Strengthening of the Character of the Center for Chips Center as a tourist destination is carried out with a tourist concept of 4A+I, namely: Attraction (Attraction), Accessibility (Accessibility), Amenitas (Amenities), Ancillary Service and Institutions (Institutions).

Abstract

The objective of this research is to assess the financial feasibility and sensitivity of laying hens husbandry. The laying hens husbandry located at Sirun Farm in Natar District, South Lampung Regency, was the subject of this study. The data were gathered from July to October 2022. The sensitivity analysis and financial feasibility assessment employed to analyze the data. The study demonstrates that the development of laying hen husbandry has a favourable financial outlook. The initial cash outflow of the investment can be   recovered in less than 10 years as indicated by the NPV of IDR 13,293,158,715. The gross B/C values is 1.63, while the net B/C values is 6.41. In addition, the Payback Period values is estimated to be 5.25 years, and the IRR values is  28.71 percent, which is higher than  6 percent interest rate. Based on the finding, of the sensitivity analysis, which was assumed a 9 percent decrease in chicken egg production and a 17 percent decrease in chicken egg sales, it is concluded that the laying hen industry is still worth to develop.  Key words: evaluation, feasibility, financial, laying hens, sensitivity

Abstract

This research aims to determine the leading sectors of the economy and the performance of the leading sectors in Pesisir Barat Regency. Research uses secondary data. Secondary data used in this research is Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on constant prices for Lampung Province and Pesisir Barat Regency from 2018 to 2022. The analytical tools used in this research are Location Quotient (LQ) analysis and Shift-Share analysis. . The research results show that of the 17 business sectors in 2018-2022, there are 9 economic base sectors in Pesisir Barat Regency with an LQ value>1, namely the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector; wholesale trade and vehicle repair sector, information and communications sector, real estate sector, corporate services, administration sector, educational services sector, health services sector and social activities and other service sectors. The economic growth of Lampung Province from 2018 to 2022 influenced the increase in PDRB of Pesisir Barat Regency by up to 10.76 percent with a total of IDR 316.72 billion with the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector contributing the highest with a total contribution of IDR 159.86 billion

Abstract

Oil palm is the leading cash crop with the and most extensive cultivation in the tropics, especially in Indonesia. The area of oil palm plantations in Pulang Pisau Regency covers 17,031.63 ha, with 2,762.32 ha allocated to smallholders and the remainder to private estates. The expansion of oil palm plantations is of interest to conduct a study in Kanamit Village, which is adversely affected by the agrarian structure and its impact on food security. This research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative methods to assess food security and qualitative methods to describe changes in agrarian structure. The results show that there have been changes in land ownership, control, use, and utilization due to the entry of private estates. The food security of the community is mainly in the vulnerable category, with the proportion of food expenditure >60%, while the level of energy consumption (TKE) is <80%. The integration of agrarian structure and food security decision-makingin this research can serve as a decision-making tool for stakeholders to take action in protecting the community's needs in Kanamit Village or other areas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparative advantage and competitive advantage of organic rice in Lampung Province. The research locations were in Punggur District, Central Lampung District, Pardasuka District and Pringsewu District, Pringsewu District. This research was conducted using survey methods and interviews with farmers using a prepared questionnaire. Respondents in this study amounted to 35 farmers who were selected deliberately using purposive sampling by the research objectives. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. To answer the analysis objective, the Price Transmission Elasticity and the Herfindahl Hirschman Index (IHH) Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) is used. The results showed that the market structure for the organic rice business in Lampung Province was oligopsony, as evidenced by the transmission elasticity value of 0.01151. the concentration ratio and market share results were 0.89 and 99.06%, which means that the value of the ratio concentration criteria was 70%, so that the organic rice market concentration in Lampung Province can be said to be high concentration oligopsony.
