Abstract

Pada metoda pembelajaran Konvensional, hubungan antara pengajar dan peserta didik sangat erat, karena antara pengajar dan peserta didik dapat bertemu dan berkomunikasi secara langsung. Tetapi seiring perkembagan teknologi, media dan sarana pembelajaran pun semakin berkembang, menuntut model dan metode pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif kreatif dimana proses pembelajaran mengarah pada tidak adanya batasan RUANG dan WAKTU. Dengan Metode Konvensional waktu dan tempat pembelajaran sangat terbatas, yang berdampak pada jumlah waktu pertemuan dengan pengajar dan tempat pertemuan yang terbatas, yaitu saat berada di sekolah. Padahal dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi, proses pembelajaran dapat berjalan kapanpun dan dimanapun tanpa dibatasi oleh ruang dan waktu. Oleh karena itu perlu metode atau alat untuk memecahkan masalah ini, salah satunya adanya penggunaan aplikasi EDMODO. Edmodo merupakan platform pembelajaran berbasis Learning Management System (LMS) yang aman bagi guru, siswa dan sekolah berbasis sosial media. Edmodo memberi fasilitas bagi guru, murid tempat yang aman untuk berkomunikasi, berkolaborasi, berbagi konten dan aplikasi pembelajaran, pekerjaan rumah (PR) bagi siswa, diskusi dalam kelas virtual, ulangan secara online dan nilai. Hasil dari pengabdian dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan ketrampilan bagi para guru di SMA Al-Fityan School Medan untuk mengoptimalkan fasilitas ICT yang telah ada sebaik mungkin. Bentuk pengoptimalan yang ada ialah para guru mampu membuat media e- learning untuk keperluan proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Universitas Harapan Medan adalah satu perguruan tinggi swasta di kota Medan yang mempunyai beberapa fakultas diantaranya Fakultas Ekonomi Bisnis (FEB), Fakultas Teknik dan Komputer (FTK), Fakultas Bahasa dan Komunikasi (FBK), dam Fakultas Hukum. Terdapat beberapa program studi yang berada di bawah naungan Fakultas Teknik dan Komputer, yaitu meliputi : Teknik Industri, Teknik Mesin, Teknik Sipil, Teknik Elektro, Teknik Informatika dan Sistem Informasi.Program Studi Teknik Informatika memiliki jumlah dosen aktif sebanyak 38 orang. Dimana bidang peminatannya adalah jaringan, multimedia dan robotika. Dosen merupakan tenaga pendidik professional yang memberi pengajaran dan mengembangkan ilmu di perguruan tinggi. Sebagai bentuk apresiasi Perguruan Tinggi terhadap dosen dalam kinerja tridarma, maka akan dilakukan pemilihan dosen terbaik untuk meningkatkan kualitas kinerja dengan menggunakan metode sistem pendukung keputusan. Ada 2 metode analisa yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode WASPAS (Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assesment) dan TOPSIS (Technique For Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah Menganalisis metode sistem pendukung keputusan WASPAS dan TOPSIS dalam menentukan dosen terbaik berdasarkan variabel bidang keahlian di Prodi Teknik Informatika dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan dan Mengetahui tingkat akurasi dalam pengambilan keputusan dengan sistem pendukung keputusan WASPAS dan TOPSIS dalam menentukan dosen terbaik berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract

The development of games is a media that is favored by the public which can have good or bad effects, where a game is basically made as for entertainment but there are also those who use games as educational media. This research was conducted to create a basic web development educational game packaged in the form of RPG (Role Playing Games) games with the result that providing basic web development education that can be played by all audience, where learning about web development is currently quite popular with some people. The game system design process is made using UML diagrams which will be applied to the unity 3D application and the assessment obtained through a questionnaire of 82% of respondents agreed that this game can be provide basic web development education. This game is also implemented using a finite state machine algorithm that controls enemy behavior in each state and collision detection for interaction with other objects. In this process create several interface designs and also for the finite state machine algorithm implemented to the enemy animator to control the state of enemy behavior, and the collision detection algorithm is applied to areas that have a collider to display the interface and also play background music.

Abstract

Universitas Harapan Medan adalah salah satu Perguruan Tinggi di Sumatera Utara yang memiliki beberapa fakultas, salah satu diantaranya yaitu Fakultas Teknik dan Komputer. Dimana pada fakultas tersebut terdapat 7 program studi yaitu Teknik Elektro, Teknik Sipil, Teknik Mesin, Teknik Informatika Teknik Industri, Sistem Informasi dan Manajemen Informatika. Program studi Teknik Infrmatika merupakan program studi dengan akreditasi B dengan jumlah mahasiswa aktif sampai tahun 2022 yaitu 1.366 orang. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa program studi informatika memiliki jumlah peminat yang sangat banyak bagi mahasiswa. Dalam proses penerimaan mahasiswa baru seringkali membuat susunan berkas yang sangat banyak, sehingga menyulitkan pihak akademik dalam mengelola dan menentukan mahasiswa yang dapat masuk dalam program studi teknik informatika. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan suatu pola yang dapat menentukan mahasiswa yang lulus dan tidak lulus menggunakan metode klasisfikasi data mining CHAID (Chi Squared Automatic Interaction Detection). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah Merancang model pola karakteristik berdasarkan kriteria dalam seleksi penerimaan mahasiswa baru pada program studi teknik informatikaMenganalisis metode data mining decision tree dengan algoritma CHAID (Chi Squared Automatic Interaction Detection) dalam menentukan siapa yang lulus berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Hasil pohon keputusan dalam perancangan pola karakteristik penerimanan calon mahasiswa baru terdapat 43 rule dimana , faktor tertinggi dari ke- 3 faktor yang mempengaruhi pada 75 data testing adalah kriteria Nilai Rapor. Faktor kedua yang juga mempengaruhi hasil keputusan adalah kriteria Ujian CAT (Computer Assisted Test). Dan faktor Nilai Wawancara terakhir yang juga mempengaruhi hasil keputusan adalah kriteria.

Abstract

University of Harapan Medan is one of the private universities in North Sumatra which has an Informatics Engineering Study Program with Good Accreditation. With better accreditation, the number of students who register is also increasing. At the admission of new students, the committee has a huge pile of data, making it difficult in the process of whether the student passed or did not pass. Therefore, in this study, we will implement data mining with the CART (Classification And Regression Tree) algorithm. Data mining is a technique to determine the characteristic pattern of a variable or data criteria with a large amount. In the CART method, the data is first converted into testing data, which will then be used to form a classification tree by calculating the value of information gain, Gini index and goodness of split. From the results obtained, it will be re-determined terminal nodes, marking class labels and finally pruning the classification tree which produces a decision tree. In this study, the number of testing data was 75 with 3 criteria, namely the average value of report cards, CAT test scores, and interview scores. The results of testing data testing using RapisMiner 5.3 software produce 23 number of characteristic pattern rules, where node 1 is the CAT test score, level 1 branch node is the interview score criteria and level 2 branch node is the average report card value.

Abstract

University of Harapan Medan is one of the private tertiary institutions in North Sumatra which has an informatics engineering study program. The informatics engineering study program is a study program that has many enthusiasts. Every year this study program graduates more than 200 students. To produce graduates who have potential, reliability and competence in the field of technology and information, it is necessary to make a selection at the beginning, namely at the time of admission of new students. There are 5 criteria used in the selection process, including the average report card score, basic ability test, computer ability test, psychological test, and interview. Each criterion has 5 weights of values, namely very high, high, medium, low and very low.  The selection process for admission of new informatics engineering students with a decision support system for the EDAS (Evaluation Based On Distance From Average Solution) method.  Where the stages in this method are by normalizing the decision matrix and looking for the average from alternatives, then from these results calculate the average positive distance (PDA) and negative distance (NDA) as well as the assessment of the weighted attribute weights of SPi and SNi, after that the normalization of positive and negative distance weights is carried out for determining the ranking score. From the results of the analysis carried out using the EDAS method, with a sample of 10 prospective students it was concluded that the 6th order student candidate had the highest score with a score of 0.519 and the lowest score in the 7th order student with a score of 0.14. Therefore, the level of accuracy of the EDAS method in selecting new student admissions is around 20%. Of course, this accuracy value will change with large data samples.

Abstract

The data storage and information exchange activities digitally have risks and of course must be accompanied by information security. Various ways are done to protect data such as hiding data with steganography techniques or by encoding data with cryptographic techniques. If in general the steganography technique is done by inserting data into image, audio or video media, but in this study the data will be inserted or hidden into a text file as a media (cover message) to hide the data. While data security with cryptographic techniques is done by changing the data to be kept secret (plaintext) into encoded data (ciphertext) so that the data cannot be understood by people who do not have legality in the data. Therefore, with this method of securing research files, it produces a test of blackbox testing of encryption and description and extraction. Where is the result of the encryption on the encrypted text file using the ROT128 algorithm with a time of 1.82ms and where is the result of the description on the text file producing a decrypted text file using the ROT128 algorithm with a time of 1.47ms. After carrying out the extraction process on the resulting text file description using the Bacon Cipher algorithm, it will produce the original text with a time of 13.95ms

Abstract

The massive development of the animation world since the 2000s shows that local animation has not been able to compete with the existence of foreign animation. The development of information technology encourages the birth of promotional media that are increasingly attractive, creative, and innovative, such as promotional media in the form of animation. This research was conducted by designing an animated promotional video for hotels and resorts. In making animated promotional videos for Rudang Hotels and Resorts using the Adobe Animate application, researchers used UML (Unified Modeling Language), namely use case diagrams and activity diagrams. In designing animation there are 3 stages that must be done, namely the Pre-Production Stage, Production Stage and Post-Production Stage. Animated advertisements about Rudang Hotels and Resorts using Adobe Animate software and made into 2-dimensional animation. The design of promotional advertisements about Rudang Hotels and Resorts consists of text, studio, animation, and sound designs to invite the public to know more about Hotels and Resorts. With this promotional advertisement, it is hoped that hotels and resorts will benefit by attracting public attention. As a recommendation, for readers, I hope this thesis can be a reference for the design of promotional advertisements. This thesis includes the design and analysis of systems for making promotional advertisements. Rudang Hotels and Resorts can take advantage of this promotional advertisement as well as possible.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) is an environment that incorporates 3D virtual objects into a real environment. AR allows users to interact in real time. One of the implementations or applications of Augmented Reality technology is the introduction of the main weapons system tool (ALUTSISTA) utilizing media markers using 3D objects. There are three territorial types in military vehicle equipment, namely vehicles on land, air and sea. The introduction of types of military vehicles utilizing augmented reality using 3D objects was built using the SkethUp application to create 3D objects, the Vuforia Library as a marker database and the Unity3D Engine to build augmented reality

Abstract

In the era of increasingly developing technology, the use of computers is not only used to facilitate work in offices, but can be used as a medium of learning in the classroom for teachers. There are many applications on computers that can be used to support the teaching and learning process of students in schools such as media provided by Google. Google is one of the largest providers of web facilities with various online learning applications such as google classroom, google docs, google meet, jamboard and so on. This community service activity was carried out at the UPTD SD Negeri 15 Padang Genting, Batubara Regency by utilizing the Google Meet media, where the participants in this activity were 12 teachers. The purpose of this activity is to add insight, knowledge for teachers in teaching and learning activities and the effectiveness of time to be able to keep getting knowledge and material from teachers in schools. The results of this training activity are expected that teachers can improve the utilization and use of information technology as a learning medium and know the function of the tools provided by Google Meet.
