Abstract

Biology learning on excretory system materials often experiences obstacles due to the abstract nature of the material and the lack of use of interactive learning media. As a result, students tend to be passive and learning outcomes are low. This condition shows the need for digital-based learning media innovations that are able to present visualization and interactivity in the learning process. This study aims to determine the level of validity of Google Sites-based learning media on human excretion system materials. The type of research used is research and development with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. However, this study is limited to the limited stage of trials. The research instrument is in the form of validation sheets assessed by material experts and media experts. The results of the study showed that the average validation score by material experts was 94.3% and by media experts was 92.5%, both of which were included in the very valid category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Google Sites-based learning media developed is suitable for use as a biology learning medium. This media is effective in helping students understand the concept of the excretory system in a more interesting, contextual, and interactive way.

Abstract

Biology learning in ecosystem materials still faces obstacles in the form of limited interactive learning tools, so that it has not been able to optimize students' problem-solving skills. The use of conventional devices that have not utilized digital technology makes the learning process less interesting and does not fully support independent learning. This study aims to describe the validity of google sites-integrated problem-based learning-based teaching modules on ecosystem materials. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) development model. The research subjects consisted of 31 students of class X. The instruments used included content and media validation sheets. The validation results showed that the teaching module was in the very valid category, with a percentage of 93% in the content aspect and 93.66% in the media aspect. Thus, google sites' integrated problem-based learning teaching module is suitable for use as a biology learning tool, because it is able to provide interactive, accessible learning, and support the improvement of students' problem-solving skills in a contextual and interesting manner.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Crossword Puzzle learning media based on the Puzzle Maker application as an evaluation tool for environmental change and conservation material in class X MAN 1 Boalemo. The background of this study is based on the low level of student involvement in biology learning which is still dominated by conventional methods, so that students have difficulty understanding abstract concepts. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Plomp development model which includes three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The subjects of this study were 22 students of class X MAN 1 Boalemo, and one biology teacher. The instruments used included expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and observation sheets for learning implementation. The results showed that the validity of the media was in the very valid category, with an assessment from material experts of 86% and a media expert of 96%. The practicality of the media was also assessed as very good based on the learning implementation reaching 93-95%, student responses with a percentage of 85%, and teacher responses of 93%. Thus, the Puzzle Maker-based Crossword Puzzle media is declared feasible and practical to use as an evaluation tool, and has the potential to increase student involvement in biology learning.
