Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan upaya Pondok Pesantren Kauman di Desa Karangturi dalam mempertahankan eksistensi pendidikan pesantren di tengah lingkungan non-muslim Tionghoa. Pondok pesantren biasanya berdiri dan berkembang di lingkungan yang kental dengan budaya keislamannya. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui bentuk pendidikan, strategi, faktor pendorong dan penghambat dalam mempertahankan eksistensi Pondok Pesantren Kauman yang berada di tengah lingkungan non-Muslim Tionghoa. Metode penelitian yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Penulis menggunakan teori struktural fungsional dari Talcott Parsons untuk mempertahankan eksistensi suatu kelompok sosial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) pendidikan yang terdapat di Pondok Pesantren Kauman yaitu pendidikan formal, non-formal, dan pendidikan karakter. (2) strategi mempertahankan eksistensi diantaranya mempertahankan ciri khas pendidikan salaf, menerapkan akulturasi budaya Jawa-Arab-Tionghoa, dan konsisten menanamkan konsep Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin. (3) faktor pendorong yaitu kerukunan umat beragama, menjunjung tinggi nilai toleransi, dan adanya ritual pesantren di ruang publik. Sedangkan faktor penghambat berasal dari tokoh agama setempat yang kurang mendukung berdirinya Pondok Pesantren Kauman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui klasifikasi jenis santri, faktor yan mempengaruhi dan dampak dari adanya klasifikasi santri di pondok pesantren Annajma Banaran Kota Semarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualititaif dengan teknik mengumpulkan data wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa macam macam kelompok santri yang ada di pondok pesantren Annajma terdiri atas santri kalong,santri mukim dan santri ndalem. Klasifikasi tersebut disebabkan atas adanya faktor yang mempengaruhi antara lain tujuan dan tempat tinggal yang sama dari masing masing kelompok santri. Dampak yang ditimbulkan dari adanya pengelompokan tersebut bersifat positif dan negatif.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter diantaranya bertujuan untuk mengurangi perilaku destruktif anak, remaja, dan orang dewasa. Hal ini merespon pada peningkatan berbagai perilaku destruktif berkaitan dengan kurangnya keteladanan yang menyebabkan perilaku menyimpang pada anak dan pemuda. Oleh karena itu, pembangunan karakter sebaiknya dilaksanakan secara lebih terarah dan berkesinambungan, tidak hanya dari lingkungan keluarga dan sekolah formal, lingkungan masyarakat dalam wujud organisasi sosial juga turut andil dalam pemberntukan karakter. Ruang Kreatif Spasi hadir untuk melengkapi usaha mewujudkan pendidikan karakter pada anak dan pemuda di Kota Tegal yang berbasis kreativitas. Penelitian ini berusaha mengidentifikasi berbagai bentuk kegiatan kreatif yang diterapkan oleh Spasi dari sudut pandang sosiologis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk kegiatan Spasi dalam mewujudkan pendidikan karakter berbasis kreativitas pada anak dan pemuda di Kota Tegal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ruang Kreatif Spasi menerapkan berbagai bentuk kegiatan kreatif, seperti Kelas Akting, Tegal Children’s Festival (TCF), mengajak cinta pada khasanah budaya bangsa, membuat film edukasi, kegiatan pembelajaran yang menekankan soft skill dan imajinasi, serta sinergi antarinstitusi. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu berbagai bentuk kegiatan yang diterapkan Spasi dapat melatih olah pikir berupa kreativitas yang didalamnya terkandung nilai-nilai karakter, seperti keberanian berekspresi, peduli, mengambil keputusan, bekerja sama, serta mengetahui kemampuan dan kelemahan diri.

Abstract

Dampak negatif globalisasi telah merusak sendi-sendi kehidupan yang berdampak pada lunturnya nasionalisme. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana konsep dasar Aswaja yang dalam tataran praktisnya merupakan tradisi amaliyah NU dan dijabarkan melalui Pendidikan Aswaja dapat membentuk karakter nasionalisme pada siswa Madrasah Aliyah Al Asror Semarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah diskriptif kualitatif yang merupakan pendekatan penelitian dengan strategi dan prosedur yang fleksibel namun dapat mendeskripsikan suatu fenomena sesuai dengan keadaan yang sebenarnya. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa Pendidikan Aswaja yang diajarkan di Madrasah Aliyah Al Asror Semarang dapat membentuk karakter nasionalisme siswa. Adapun karakter nasionalisme yang terbentuk pada diri siswa adalah (1) siswa memiliki keimanan (religiusitas) yang tinggi, (2) toleransi (3) persatuan dan kesatuan (4) disiplin (5) tertib (6) berani dan jujur (7) menghargai jasa pahlawan (8) demokratis (9) tanggung jawab, dan (10) mencintai budaya lokal.Negative impact of globalization was ruined the principles of life which was impacted on the outdated of nationalism. The purpose of the study were to determines the extent in which basic concepts of Aswaja, which is a practical level of a tradition of Amaliyah (implementation) of NU (Nahdlatul Ulama), that elaborated through Aswaja Education be able to formed the character of nationalism to the students of Madrasah Aliyah Al Asror Semarang. The research method of the study is descriptive-qualitative, which is an approach in a flexible strategy and procedures, but may describe the phenomenon in accordance with the actual situation. The study concluded that, the Aswaja Education which taught in Madrasah Aliyah Al Asror Semarang’s Students could build their character of nationalism, there are; (1) having high in faith (religiosity), (2) more tolerance, (3) having unity and integrity, (4) disciplines (5) orderly (6) brave and honest (7) appreciate their heroes dedication, (8) democratic (9) responsibility, and (10) adore to the local culture.

Abstract

Seiring kemajuan teknologi dan interaksi dengan masyarakat sekitar tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa ajaran Samin mengalami pergeseran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pergeseran nilai yang terjadi pada masyarakat Samin. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ajaran Samin mengacu pada unsur religi, sistem dan organisasi kemasyarakatan, bahasa, kesenian, serta sistem mata pencaharian hidup belum mengalami pergeseran. Masyarakat Samin di Dukuh Bombong masih hidup dengan nilai religius, kesederhanaan, kesopanan, kejujuran, saling tolong-menolong, mligi, humanis, tidak suka menerima pemberian barang dari orang lain, setia, dan rukun. Sedangkan, pada sistem teknologi dan peralatan serta sistem pengetahuan mengalami pergeseran, yang ditandai dengan penghargaan masyarakat Samin terhadap alam mulai berkurang dan sudah mementingkan nilai ekonomis.As technology advances and the interaction with the surrounding community does not rule out the possibility that the Samin’s rule have a change. This research aims to analyze the change values of Samin community in Dukuh Bombong. This research uses a qualitative approach. Method of collecting data in this research is deep interview, observation, and documentation. The result of the research shows Samin’s rule refer of the religious elements, systems and social organization, language, art, life and livelihood systems have not experienced a change. Samin community in Dukuh Bombong still alive with values of religious, simplicity, decency, honesty, help each other, mligi, humanist, does not like to receive gifts from the goods of others, faithful, and harmony. Meanwhile, the technology systems and equipment as well as the knowledge system experienced a change, characterized by the Samin community appreciation for nature began to decrease and has been concerned with economic value.

Abstract

The number of street children in Pati Regency is always increasing every year. The existence of street children who choose to live free from parental supervision, make them have to work every day in order to survive. This study aims to analyze the social actions of street children to survive in Pati Regency. The focus of this research includes the type of street children's work, work patterns, income amount, and experience during being street children. This research uses qualitative approach. The results showed that street children in Pati Regency chose singing on the streets as their main profession. They sing on 8 – 10 hours in groups or by themselves. Average amount of income Rp 75,000.00 every day. The experience felt by street children is having the freedom to determine life, getting hit by a vehicle while working, and is considered a public bully. The findings of this study are that all actions performed by street children for survival can be categorized into Max Weber's social action theory. The benefits of this research findings can be used as reference for the preparation of strategic steps for the Government in solving the problem of street children.

Abstract

Deviations in adolescent behavior disrupt the upholding of social systems, cultural values, norms, rules and customs existing in society. The aims of the studies is to analyze the role of Karang Taruna in overcoming adolescent behavioral deviations in Somogede Village. The focus of the study covered the forms and causes of adolescent behavioral deviations and ways of adolescent coaching conducted by Karang Taruna of Somogede Village. The research approach used qualitative-phenomenology. The data collection was carried out by interviewing informants of teenagers, Karang Taruna coaches, village officials, parents and community leaders, Observation of the socio-cultural environment and document studies. The results showed that forms of adolescent behavioral deviations who violated social values and norms such as smoking, drinking and drug consuming, watching pornographic content, unhealthy dating, cursing and not respecting older people, while delinquency that was breaking the law such as the use of underage vehicles. The causes of adolescent deviations were from peer relationships, imperfect socialization, deviant subculture, poor parental, parental supervision and technological development and modernization. The role of Karang Taruna was played by giving youth coaching activities aimed at becoming good community members. The research conclusion explain that deviation violates the social values and law. The role of Karang Taruna is giving guidance and training in sport and social fields. The new finding behind globalization’s adolescent deviation is the use of technology among peers. The objectives of this study can be used as social controller through handling deviant behavior of teenager.

Abstract

Based on preliminary observations at Public Vocational High School 2 Purwodadi, Grobogan Regency related to the interaction of Papuan students is not in line with what was expected, where the process of social interaction is not running through contact and communication. The purpose of this study are to identify patterns of social interaction of Papuan students, identify the constraints of social interaction of Papuan students and analyze school strategies in encouraging the process of social interaction of Papuan students at Public Vocational High School 2 Purwodadi. Research methods using qualitative approach. The determination of informants is chosen according to the focus that will be discussed in this study. Criteria for determining informants are informants who understand and are related to existing research problems. The instrument used in this study was a list of questions, or what is called an interview instrument. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validity technique uses triangulation techniques. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the pattern of social interaction of Papuan students at Public Vocational High School 2 Purwodadi, in general, has been going well even though some obstacles must be immediately sought a solution. The hope to be achieved is the occurrence of harmonious and synergistic relationships in the process of social interaction so that it supports the education program launched by the government.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the causes and effects of changes livelihood choices for generation Z children and the impact of social changes in farmer families in Desa Karangmalang. This research used qualitative with the form of case studies. The data is collected through observation, interviews, and documents. The collected data will be analyzed using qualitative analysis, namely by describing the results of research in the form of words or sentences so that the researchers describe in depth the results of the research in accordance with the actual conditions that occurred in the field. The research targets were generation Z children and farmer families. The results showed that the factors of changes in livelihood choices was motivated by the knowledge of generation Z children about farmers, the economic value of the farming family, and the social status of the farmer families for generation Z children. These factors have influenced the social changes of generation Z children to choose livelihoods other than farmers.

Abstract

Religion has a considerable contribution to the creation of present Bangladesh and Indonesia. Historically, religious communalism is common in these two regions and its presence is visible to date. Like other countries, both countries are moving more toward digitalization with a good number of digital migrants, making the internet a digital public sphere. Like offline society, online is now becoming a place of religious dakwah and contentions as well. Digital space offers both opportunities and challenges for the democratic religious public sphere. This article discusses the similarity and differences of online religious public spheres between Indonesia and Bangladesh. The research was conducted in 2021 observing social media particularly Facebook. This research finds that the online religious public sphere witnesses online piety, religious deliberation, the spread of religious hoaxes, and Islamism. While in Bangladesh, online disinformation leads to religious communalism and offline violence against religious minorities, in Indonesia, the digital public sphere is largely dominated by religious discourses argumentation among Muslims and the rise of post-Islamism. The online public sphere of both countries similarly witnesses the rise of hoaxes, post-truth, and banal religion.
