Abstract

Lanjut usia merupakan masa pertumbuhan manusia yang rentan terhadap berbagai masalah kesehatan seperti hipertensi. Hipertensi juga menjadi penyakit tidak menular (PTM) yang paling tinggi angka kejadiannya dibandingkan PTM lainnya yaitu sebesar 76,5% di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Hipertensi yang tidak terkontrol dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan lebih serius. Penatalaksanaan hipertensi mengharuskan lansia memiminum obat secara rutin. Kepatuhan lansia menjadi kunci keberhasilan dalam mengendalikan tekanan darah. Keterlibatan keluarga dalam pengobatan tentu membawa dampak positif dalam keberhasilan terapi pengobatan. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kepatuhan minum obat pada lansia hipertensi di   Kabupaten Pati. Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi yaitu seluruh lansia hipertensi di Kabupaten Pati dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 44 lansia dengan tekhnik purposive sampling sesuai kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi. Hasil: Lansia yang mendapatkan dukungan keluarga kategori baik cenderung lebih patuh minum obat. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji Chi Square didapatkan p value 0,002 (<0,05). Simpulan: Terdapat  hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kepatuhan minum obat pada lansia hipertensi di Wilayah Kabupaten Pati.

Abstract

Konsep kota pintar atau smart city sudah dikenal di kota-kota besar di dunia, seperti Tokyo di Jepang dan Jakarta di Indonesia. Kota Tokyo menerapkannya dalam model pembangunan perkotaan, juga disebut "komunitas pintar" dan "kota pintar" antara istilah lainnya. Seperti yang didefinisikan oleh Japan Smart Community Alliance (JSCA):“Komunitas yang cerdas adalah sebuah komunitas di mana berbagai teknologi generasi berikutnya dan sistem sosial yang maju secara efektif terintegrasi dan dimanfaatkan. Jepang tetap menjadi pemain global utama dalam pengembangan teknologi hijau, Jakarta sendiri menerapkan Jakarta Smart City (JSC) merupakan penerapan konsep kota pintar dengan cara mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk lebih efektif dan efisien dalam mengidentifikasi, memahami dan mengendalikan berbagai sumber daya di kota, serta Memaksimalkan secara maksimal suatu kinerja pekerja di bidang pelayanan publik, dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat di Kota Jakarta yang memang harus didorong dengan adanya kemajuan teknologi yang canggih dan dapat menyesuaikan dengan kemajuan dan perkembangan dunia.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus is known as the "mother of all diseases" because of the many complications it causes. One effort that can be made to reduce these complications is to control blood glucose levels by maintaining adherence to medication. Purpose: To analysis relationship between anti-diabetic medication adherence and fasting blood glucose level in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Method: This cross-sectional studied was conducted on 69 patients with type II diabetes mellitus who were recruited used a purposive sampling technique at RSUD Kabupaten Subang. Data collection on adherence anti-diabetic medication was carried out used MMAS-8 and Easy Touch GCU was used to collect data fasting blood sugar levels. The collected data were analyzed used the Spearman's rho test. Result: The findings of this study showed that the average level of adherence to taking anti-diabetic medication was 4.56 and the average fasting blood glucose level in type II diabetes mellitus patients was 176.13 mg/dL. This study founded that there is a relationship between the level of adherence to taking anti-diabetic medication and fasting blood glucose level in patients with type II diabetes mellitus (p <0.001) with a positive correlation coefficient, the greater the medication adherence score, the more normal the fasting blood glucose level, Conclusion: Medication adherence has significantly a relationship with fasting blood glucose level in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Findings suggest that it is important to adhere to anti-diabetic medication for patients with type 2 diabetes, as it potentially enables patients to deal with their diabetes journey and requires further research.

Abstract

Background: Women often complain of painful periods before or during menstruation. Plants that are believed to relieve pain include ginger (Zingiber Officinale Rose), whose rhizomes have analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory properties. Purpose: To determine the effect of ginger water therapy on reducing menstrual pain in nursing students. Methods: This research was conducted on nursing students at Politeknik Negeri Subang using a quasi-experimental research design with a pre-post-test design with control group. The stratified random sampling was used with the number of respondents at 30 divided into two groups: a 15-person intervention group and a 15-person control group. Data were collected using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) pain scale. Results: The study found that the mean pre-treatment menstruation pain scale was 5.27 for the intervention group and 4.73 for the control group, and the mean post-treatment menstruation pain scale was 1.93 for the intervention group and 4.00 for the control group. Data analysis obtained a p-value of <0.001 (0.05), indicating that there was an effect of ginger water therapy on reducing the menstrual pain scale. Conclusion: These findings have verified the initial possibility of ginger's efficacy in reducing menstrual pain, although it should be given to women with mild-moderate menstrual pain. We strongly recommend further research with larger numbers of patients on the efficacy and protection of different doses of ginger.

Abstract

Background: Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is considered an infectious disease with a high incidence rate; this is due to the individual’s lifestyle, which is a factor in the occurrence of UTI. To reduce the incidence of UTI, it can be done by knowing the risk factors that can influence the occurrence of UTI with individual awareness and practicing good habits. Purpose: to analyze the risk factors for urinary tract infection in outpatients. Methods: This research used quantitative research with a cross-sectional design that has been carried out on 89 patients who came for treatment at the Urology Polyclinic at RSUD Subang, using purposive sampling through a questionnaire on risk factors and symptoms of UTI, and then the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression tests. Results: The results of the study found that there is a relationship between age, gender, urinary retention habits, genital hygiene, and drinking habits and the incidence of UTI, with a P-value of 0.000 (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Age, gender, urinary retention habits, genital hygiene, and water drinking habits are risk factors for urinary tract infections both independently and simultaneously. Screening for UTI in outpatients, Geriatric age, female gender, urinary retention habits, bad genitourinary tract hygiene, and less water intake should be adopted.

Abstract

Background: Depression is one of the mental health disorders that has increased very significantly every year. As many as 280,000,000 people experience depression worldwide. Depression can occur in adolescents who are characterized by having a less meaningful life.. Purpose: To determine the picture of Depression and the meaning of life in junior high school-going adolescents. Methods: A descriptive study using a cross-sectional approach was conducted at SMPN (Junior High School) 1 Kalijati in Subang City, with a population of 78, 9th grade students, and used cluster random sampling. This study used two measuring instruments, namely the Scale of Life Meaningfulness, consisting of 36 items, and the Beck Depression Inventory-II version of Indonesian, consisting of 21 items. The data are presented as a frequency distribution and percentage. Results: The level of meaningfulness of life is nearly half in the moderate and high categories, respectively, for as many as 24 respondents (30.77%). Almost half of the adolescents (49%) had mild symptoms of depression. Conclusion: The findings contribute to knowledge about the meaningfulness of life in adolescents and depression in adolescents. Junior high school-going adolescents have peer pressure, academic expectations, and body changes. This factor may potentially influence adolescent psychological health and requires future research.

Abstract

 Earthquakes are a natural phenomenon that causes a very large and very detrimental disaster impact. There needs to be awareness of the importance of disaster preparedness and response to minimize the impacts of disasters. Not only for adults, children also need to be introduced to disaster preparedness from an early age. One effort that can be made to improve the preparedness of children in Elementary Schools is to provide health education and earthquake disaster preparedness simulations. The purpose of this activity is to increase elementary school students' knowledge about earthquake disaster preparedness and introduce earthquake disaster preparedness students. The method used is to provide health education through lectures, discussions, quizzes, role plays, and earthquake disaster preparedness simulations for grade VI SDN Sukajadi, Subang Regency. The results of this activity are that students have a series of practical experiences through disaster preparedness student simulations. It is hoped that schools will be able to provide an understanding through earthquake disaster preparedness education, and conduct simulations together with the Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kabupaten Subang.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi screening jantung berbasis Android yang memanfaatkan data hasil pemeriksaan kesehatan jantung serta meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap deteksi dini penyakit jantung. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metodologi yang terdiri dari lima tahap utama: (1) identifikasi kebutuhan, (2) desain aplikasi, (3) pengumpulan data pemeriksaan kesehatan jantung, (4) pengujian dan validasi aplikasi, serta (5) pelatihan dan implementasi di masyarakat. Hasil pemeriksaan terhadap 500 partisipan menghasilkan data komprehensif mengenai profil risiko kardiovaskular pada populasi berisiko tinggi, termasuk faktor risiko seperti hipertensi, diabetes, obesitas, dan kebiasaan merokok. Berdasarkan data tersebut, sebuah aplikasi screening jantung akan segera dikembangkan dengan memanfaatkan algoritma machine learning untuk menganalisis faktor risiko dan memberikan prediksi serta rekomendasi personalisasi terkait kesehatan jantung. Aplikasi ini nantinya juga menyediakan fitur pengingat pemeriksaan kesehatan dan diharapkan dapat terintegrasi dengan sistem kesehatan nasional. Diharapkan, aplikasi yang akan dikembangkan ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya deteksi dini dan pencegahan penyakit jantung, serta berkontribusi pada penurunan angka kematian dan morbiditas akibat penyakit kardiovaskular di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Penuaan menyebabkan perubahan anatomis-fisiologis dan biokimia sehingga akan menurunkan fungsi organ seperti jantung, pankreas, dan sistem metabolisme yang tentunya berdampak pada beberapa penyakit kronis. Penyakit kronis yang sering diderita lansia yaitu diabetes, asam urat, hipertensi, dan kolesterol tinggi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membentuk kader masyarakat yang beranggotakan 15 orang dan bertugas untuk membantu mengelola penyakit Diabetes, Asam Urat, Hipertensi, dan Kolesterol Tinggi (DARA SI LESTI) pada lansia. Kelompok kader tersebut dinamakan “SI KAYA” (Simpatisan Kader Berdaya) yang keberlanjutannya akan dikelola oleh Puskesmas Rawalele sebagai mitra kegiatan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarajat ini melaksanakan 3 kegiatan, yaitu pelatihan teknik pemeriksaan kesehatan sederhana, teknik pemberian terapi deep breathing relaxation, dan teknik pemberian terapi kognitif. Setelah dilakukan serangkaian kegiatan ditemukan bahwa tingkat keterampilan Kader SI KAYA dalam memeriksa kesehatan lansia yang meliputi tekanan darah, kadar kolesterol, asam urat, dan gula darah mengingkat secara signifikan setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini (p=0,034). Keterampilan Kader SI KAYA dalam memberikan terapi deep breathing relaxation dan terapi kognitf kepada lansia juga meningkat secara signifikan, masing-masing dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,041 dan 0,002. Dengan terbentuknya Kader SI KAYA ini, mitra dapat dengan mudah memantau status kesehatan lansia di wilayah kerjanya melalui pemeriksaan kesehatan rutin yang dilakukan oleh kader SI KAYA

Abstract

Background: The impact of babies with the Low Birth Weight (LBW) category in the long term can have a risk of experiencing respiratory disorders, infections, and even death. The incidence of LBW can be influenced by gestational age of less than 37 weeks, maternal age of less than 20 years or more than 35 years, pregnancy spacing, maternal occupation, and maternal nutritional knowledge. Purpose:  Describe the nutritional knowledge of mothers who give birth to LBW and non-LBW babies at Tidar Hospital Magelang Methods: This type of research is descriptive with a Cross Sectional research design. The study population was mothers who gave birth in April 2022 at Tidar Hospital, Magelang. The sampling method was carried out using the total sampling technique with a total of 20 respondents. Primary data collection techniques include filling out questionnaires and interviewing respondents directly. Results: The number of mothers who are included in the category of having LBW babies is 3 people (15%) and mothers with the category of Non-LBW Babies are 17 people (85%). The nutritional knowledge of mothers with the category of LBW babies has a good, sufficient, and less score which is evenly distributed, namely 1 respondent each. While those who are Non-LBW have a good score of 13 respondents, a sufficient score of 1 respondent, and a less score of 3 respondents. Conclusion: Mothers who give birth to babies in the non-LBW category have better nutritional knowledge than mothers who give birth to babies in the LBW category.
