Abstract

This research aim to build a geographic information system that displays a mapping of slum building distribution in North Jakarta. One of spatial software was developed using a method is the Rational Unified Process (RUP) method. This research aim to build a geographic information system that displays a mapping of building distribution in North Jakarta. This system was built using Postgre SQL and QGIS to build map. The research finding in the research is that there is a tendency for built-up areas to grow in slum areas due to the absence of rental fees, land and building costs, but the feasibility conditions of these areas are very unsuitable. This research is limited to implementing the use of Postgre SQL and QGIS software. Because the rendering process for the visual display is very difficult. I hope that in the future this research will be developed interesting 3D visualization accompanied by charts. The implication of this research is to make it easier to see the distribution of dense and slum areas and become a step for the government in making policies. The originality of this research is that there is still no one who combines the two software in mapping analysis.

Abstract

Abstract

Transformation Land change that occurred in Cilegon City is a phenomenon that involves a significant transformation in urban land use over the last few years. Land is a natural resource that has an important function to meet various human needs. This change was caused by several factors, one of which was rapid population growth. This research involves analyzing satellite imagery from several different time periods to track the evolution of land use in Cilegon City. From the results of observations made, it is known that there is a reduction in green land in Cilegon City. Where in each period of the year there are changes in green land which is increasingly decreasing. This reduction was caused by several factors, namely the transfer of land function from greenland to housing and the occurrence of fires on the green land.

Abstract

The balance between the availability of land and the need for control, use and utilization of land based on regional functions is important as a reference for sustainable development directions and maintaining environmental sustainability. Imbalance in land use affects the direction of development and environmental sustainability. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct an analysis to determine the balance between land availability and land needs within a certain period of time through the preparation of a land use balance based on regional function directions. This research aims to analyze the balance between land availability and land use as well as the suitability of land use for the direction of regional functions. The method in this research uses a multi-temporal approach by utilizing remote sensing technology and geographic information systems. The overlay process was carried out to see the land change of Baubau city and see the level of conformity of existing land use with the direction of regional functions. The results show that the 2016 land use balance has the highest assets in forest land use of 21097.66 Ha and the 2020 land use balance has the highest liabilities in forest land use of 20959.56 Ha. The trend of land change in 2016-2020 is the change of forest, open land, mixed gardens, settlements and shrubs/shrubs. The level of conformity of existing land use with the direction of the function of the area is very high with a percentage level of suitability of 90.83% and a level of incompatibility of 9.17%.

Abstract

Palu is located in the Sulawesi most active fault, with an annual movement of about 7 cm. The epicenter was located near Donggala, with tremors felt in various regions, including North and East Kalimantan. The earthquake had an energy release of approximately 2.5 × 10^20 Nm, equivalent to 200 times the power of the Hiroshima bombing. This presents an interesting subject for studying how to develop a good and accessible disaster mitigation system by utilizing the available information technology today, where disaster information can be easily accessed and synchronized with existing disaster management systems to reduce the impact of earthquake disasters. This research aims to analyze earthquake disaster risks and develop a mitigation model through a spatial analysis approach using Geographic Information System (GIS). The methods employed include analyzing disaster risks by utilizing Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data, road data, and overlaying images with earthquake damage distribution. Additionally, qualitative analysis in the form of disaster management and mitigation analysis is conducted. The data obtained is used to design evacuation routes and determine post-earthquake shelter locations. The results of this research provide a better understanding of disaster vulnerability in the studied areas. Through the developed mitigation model, this research contributes to identifying effective mitigation strategies. The designed evacuation routes and post-earthquake shelter locations provide crucial information for emergency response planning. Furthermore, the analysis results are presented in the form of a WebGIS accessible through a website, enabling easy access to information by the general public

Abstract

Energy transition at the village level plays a crucial role in Indonesia’s strategy toward sustainable energy independence. This research examines the biogas-based renewable energy development in Argosari Village as a model of community-driven sustainability. The study integrates qualitative and quantitative analyses—spatial, environmental, and economic—using IPCC guidelines, Location Quotient (LQ), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Net Present Value (NPV). The research involved interviews with 45 households, three focus group discussions with farmer associations, and secondary data from the Malang Regency Bureau of Statistics. Results show that 57% of households have installed biogas units, reducing GHG emissions by approximately 60% (1.2 tons CO₂ per household annually), and achieving a B/C ratio of 1.75. Sensitivity analysis indicates project feasibility remains positive even under ±15% variation in maintenance and subsidy levels. Comparative analysis with rural biogas programs in India and China highlights Argosari’s unique integration of social, economic, and environmental benefits. This study contributes a replicable framework for community-scale renewable energy implementation in rural Indonesia.
