Abstract

This study analyses the state's failure to implement good governance in the One Village One Product (OVOP) programme in rural communities of sambas Regency. It focuses on three main factors: abuse of power and ethical violations, lack of transparency and accountability, and limited community participation. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the study analysed interviews with local officials, village officials, and communities, as well as official documents related to OVOP implementation. The results showed that the government's dominance in programme development hindered community and private sector involvement. The practice of nepotism, budget non-transparency, and decision-making that is not based on local needs causes the OVOP programme to be short-term project-oriented without clear sustainability. The conclusion of this study confirms that the failure of good governance implementation in OVOP is caused by weak control, lack of collaboration between actors, and low accountability. Governance reforms emphasising transparency, inclusive participation, and accountability are needed to improve the effectiveness of community-based development programmes. Abstract

Research Objectives to determine how sales promotion and macro influencers affect purchasing decisions for virtual items in mobile legends online games with consumer satisfaction as a media variable. Research Methods Quantitative analysis, the population in this study were Mobile Legends players at the match held in Kabanjahe with the sample size being 100 people. This research analysis uses SEM-PLS with instrument tests to test validity and reliability and associative tests to test the influence between variables. The results of the study Sales Promotion (X1) have a significant and dominant influence on purchasing decisions. A good promotional strategy has proven effective in encouraging consumers to make purchases. Macro Influencer (X2) does not have a significant impact on buying decisions. This shows that the existence of macro influencers does not necessarily directly influence consumer decisions to buy. Consumer Satisfaction (Z) plays a very important role in influencing purchasing decisions. Customer satisfaction is proven to be a key factor that significantly determines purchasing decisions. Overall, the research model has excellent predictive ability, with an R-squared value of 0.826, which means that 82.6% of the variance in purchasing decisions can be explained by the variables in the model. Moderation Variables, the interaction between sales promotion variables or macro influencers with customer satisfaction does not have a significant moderating effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The village development program run by the government in reducing poverty in rural areas, in its implementation, especially for all parties, is still in doubt. The village categories based on the Highly Underdeveloped Village Index (IDM) and Disadvantaged Villages show a correlation with the condition of the poor population in these village categories. For this reason, demands for a joint political strategy between the government and the community are urgently needed, related to strengthening decentralization, changing the role of the local bureaucracy and building community participation in efforts to alleviate underdeveloped villages or poor villages in order to contribute to reducing poverty in rural areas. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach with a purposeito make a charmisystematically, ifactual andiaccurate factsiand population traitsior certain areas. The results of the research show that on the Village Government service side it is still not on target, programs that should be for the poor are also enjoyed by the rich. So that the poor do not develop and do not increase their standard of living, this causes the village to still be in the category of underdeveloped villages, even very underdeveloped.

Abstract

This paper examines the local government's implementation of village development policy at the borderlands, aiming to address the research gap by explaining the implementation of public policy through a case study of the One Village One Product (OVOP) program in Sambas Regency, Indonesia, which shares a border with Sarawak, Malaysia. We provide academic contributions to the field of public policy at the intersection of village development and border studies by explaining the local experience of implementing public policy. Additionally, the study provides practical recommendations for stakeholders in both public and private sectors to enhance OVOP programs following the best practices learned from other countries. The study, conducted from August to October 2023, employed qualitative research methods through observation and 15 interviews with government officials, the regency and village levels, and the local figures. Relevant documents were also collected and analyzed. The study found that two models of policy implementation applied in the research setting. In most villages, the OVOP program implemented the dominant top-down models due to the independent work of regency government officials and inadequate collaboration. The bureaucracy only provides short-term assistance and empowerment while hindering the aspirations of the private and community sectors to participate. At the same time, a hybrid model is exercised in one village where local stakeholders, the village government, and private and community sectors collaborate based on their sense of belonging toward "home" with less intervention from the regency government. The study recommends enhancing regular on-site or online communication and active collaboration between all stakeholders in the regency and the village level to improve OVOP program implementation in Sambas Regency.

Abstract

This study explores how lecturers at Tanjungpura University implement case and project-based learning models to strengthen the Merdeka Curriculum. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, data were gathered from 49 lecturers across various faculties through questionnaires and unstructured interviews. Data analysis involved descriptive techniques, with questionnaire results analyzed by frequency and percentage, while interview responses were interpreted qualitatively to identify key themes. Findings indicate that while many lecturers have begun integrating case and project-based learning, the extent of implementation varies significantly among faculties. Significant challenges include a lack of awareness and understanding of these models, insufficient institutional support, and difficulty integrating these methods into theory-heavy or practice-oriented courses. However, factors such as the need to align teaching practices with accreditation standards and the availability of faculty development programs are essential enablers. The study concludes that case and project-based learning hold significant potential for enriching the Merdeka Curriculum, and more structured support and awareness-building initiatives are necessary to realize their full benefits. Recommendations for lecturers include improving competencies through training, collaborating in learning design, and developing evaluation methods. For policymakers, strengthening institutional support, socializing the curriculum, and reviewing policies to integrate case and project-based learning are advised.
