Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of drawing with stick and ink on the hand-eye coordination skills of children in Group B at RA Asyifa 3 Banuayu. The method used was quantitative with a one-shot case study design, and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with 15 children. Data collection used a performance test sheet to measure children's hand-eye coordination skills after treatment. Data analysis was performed using SPSS through normality tests and t-tests. The results showed that thcalculated t value was 2.10 and the table t value was 1.761, so the calculated t value ≥ tvalue (2.10 ≥ 1.761), meaning Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Thus, there was a significant effect of drawing with stick and ink on the hand-eye coordination skills of children in Group B at RA Asyifa 3 Banuayu. Abstract

This research aims to improve the ability to recognize number symbols in children aged 5-6 years at TK Islam Aisyah Muara Penimbung Ulu through the use of snakes and ladders game media. The primary problem identified was the low understanding of number symbol concepts, where children tended to memorize without understanding the meaning of the symbols. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) following the Kemmis & McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 12 children. The results showed a significant increase in children's cognitive abilities, rising from a low completion rate in the pre-cycle stage to 49.6% in Cycle I, and reaching 80.47% in Cycle II. It is concluded that the use of the snakes and ladders game is effective as an interactive and concrete learning medium in transforming abstract mathematical concepts into an enjoyable learning experience for children.

Abstract

Eye-hand coordination is one of the fine motor skills that is important to be developed in early childhood because it supports children’s ability to perform various activities requiring precise coordination between vision and hand movements. However, the eye-hand coordination ability of children aged 4–5 years at TK Islam Luthfiah Indralaya still needed improvement. This study aimed to improve the eye-hand coordination of children aged 4–5 years through the implementation of activities in the natural materials center. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles involving 12 children as the research subjects. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The activities implemented included mosaic activities in Cycle I and collage activities in Cycle II using various natural materials. The results showed that children's eye-hand coordination ability improved in each cycle. The percentage of children's ability increased from 36.80% in the pre-cycle to 50.69% in Cycle I and increased to 79.85% in Cycle II. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of activities in the natural materials center was effective in improving the eye-hand coordination of children aged 4–5 years at TK Islam Luthfiah Indralaya
