Abstract

This study discusses the problems faced by Islamic Boarding School students of Al-Azhar Pegasing Takengon in Arabic script translation skills. The problem is how to transfer speech from the source language to the target language without changing the original meaning and therefore it can be understood by the readers of the target language properly and correctly. Consequently, there is a need for a communicative translation theory, namely a theory that departs from understanding the writing and language aspects of the target language reader. The research method employed in this article is a descriptive approach, while the method of collecting data and research information uses two methods, including library research methods and field research methods. The problems faced by students in learning translation are: (1) weak vocabulary understanding, (2) weakness in understanding morphology and syntax rules, (3) weakness in understanding the use of verb changes, (4) lack of repetition of Arabic text material independently , (5) Difficulty in constructing Indonesian sentences, (6) poor ability to distinguish between idhafah and conjunctions. Several solutions are offered which include students developing motivation to learn translation because translation is one of the important lessons in our religion (understanding Islamic and Sharia law), and they must enrich themselves with a wealth of language rules so that they can easily translate texts. Arabic text and they should learn the translation well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan potensi Blue Economy dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir secara berkelanjutan di Kepulauan Sangkarrang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, melibatkan informan kunci dari kalangan masyarakat pesisir serta pihak pemerintah daerah. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi berbagai potensi ekonomi biru yang dimiliki Kepulauan Sangkarrang, seperti hasil perikanan, budidaya rumput laut, serta pelestarian hutan mangrove. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun wilayah ini memiliki sumber daya alam yang melimpah, implementasi ekonomi biru belum berjalan optimal. Beberapa kendala utama termasuk keterbatasan infrastruktur, akses pasar, serta minimnya dukungan teknologi dan anggaran untuk pengembangan sektor kelautan. Namun demikian, terdapat peluang besar bagi peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui strategi ekonomi berkelanjutan yang berfokus pada inovasi dan adaptasi lokal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengelola sumber daya alam secara efisien dan berkelanjutan serta peningkatan kolaborasi antara pemerintah, masyarakat, dan sektor swasta dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi biru yang inklusif dan berwawasan lingkungan.

Abstract

Graphic design skills are one of the skills that are increasingly needed in the digital era, both in the world of education and the creative industry. However, limited access and lack of training make high school students, especially at SMAN 1 Gowa, not have adequate skills in this field. This service aims to improve students' creativity and digital skills through practice-based graphic design training. Methods used include interactive lectures, live demonstrations, and self-practice using Adobe Photoshop and Canva software. This activity was attended by 30 students who were selected based on their interest and interest in graphic design. The results of the evaluation showed that 85% of the participants were able to understand the basic concepts of graphic design and produce simple design works with a good level of creativity. In addition, this training also increases students' confidence in participating in various design competitions and extracurricular activities. The conclusion of this activity is that graphic design training has a positive impact on the development of students' skills, as well as opening opportunities for them to contribute to school promotion activities and other creative projects.

Abstract

This research is based on the issue of suboptimal teacher work motivation at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Modern Achmad Hatta Muaro Jambi, as indicated by inconsistent discipline, limited participation in professional development activities, and differences in work enthusiasm between civil servant and non-civil servant teachers. The purpose of this study is to describe the principal’s commitment in improving teacher work motivation along with the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the principal enhances teacher motivation through exemplary leadership, spiritual and moral guidance, task distribution based on competencies, annual academic supervision, and encouraging teacher participation in MGMP and KKG every semester, along with providing rewards and efforts to improve teacher welfare. Supporting factors include a religious school environment and harmonious working relationships, while inhibiting factors involve differences in teacher status, limited facilities, and varied teacher competencies. Thus, teacher work motivation is strongly influenced by the principal’s commitment and leadership characterized by vision, effective communication, and role modeling.

Abstract

Jadali epistemology represents one of the foundational pillars of the Islamic intellectual tradition, emphasizing the pursuit of truth through dialogue, rational argumentation, and coherence with divine revelation. Originating from the concept of mujadalah, Jadali evolved into a method of reasoning designed to test, refine, and authenticate arguments through sound logic and strong textual grounding. This article provides an in-depth examination of the Jadali mode of thought, including its dialogical, comparative, and critical methods, as well as the contributions of key figures such as Al-Ghazali and Fakhruddin al-Razi in strengthening the rational paradigm within Islamic scholarship. The study also compares Jadali epistemology with Western rationalism as developed by thinkers like René Descartes and Immanuel Kant. Although both traditions highlight the central role of reason, they differ fundamentally in their epistemological orientations: Western rationalism tends to be individualistic and introspective, whereas Jadali is dialogical, intersubjective, and firmly anchored in revelation. Through a qualitative library-based approach, this research demonstrates that Jadali epistemology offers a more holistic, ethical, and integrated model of knowledge, making it highly relevant for contemporary Islamic education and the cultivation of critical thinking in the modern era.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses female heroes who broke gender boundaries and colored the history of the Indonesian nation through their participation in politics. The problems of this study are, how was Indonesia's condition towards independence? What was the background and journey of Fatmawati Soekarno as the First Lady of the Republic of Indonesia? What was Fatmawati Soekarno's contribution as the First Lady in the Indonesian political scene? This study uses a feminist sociological approach. The theories used are the theory of social roles and feminism. The research method is a historical research method with four stages, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The results of this study are that Fatmawati's journey in politics began when she married Soekarno and had the status of the First Lady of the Republic of Indonesia. Fatmawati has carried out her state duties well, such as making national and international visits, entertaining state guests at the state palace who came from India, Pakistan, and other countries, and becoming an intermediary for the joining of Mrs. Wakijah Sukijo, Mrs. Pujo Utomo, and Mrs. Mahmudah Masjhud as the first three women to join the KNIP which marked a new history for women's participation in politics in Indonesia. During her time as First Lady, Fatmawati also became a companion and advisor to women's organizations such as Kowani (Indonesian Women's Congress), Perwari (Indonesian Women's Association), Persis (Army Wives Association). Fatmawati also cared deeply about the welfare of the people, especially women. This was proven by the establishment of the Ibu Soekarno Foundation which functions as a hospital for children with cancer. This foundation not only provides medical services, but also education for patients and their families so that they continue to receive a good education. Fatmawati has a strong commitment to empowering women to be economically independent and not dependent on men. Abstrak: penelitian ini membahas tentang pahlawan perempuan yang mendobrak batasan gender dan mewarnai sejarah bangsa Indonesia melalui partisipasinya di dunia politik. Permasalahan penelitian ini yaitu, bagaimana kondisi Indonesia menuju kemerdekaan? bagaimana latar belakang dan perjalanan Fatmawati Soekarno sebagai Ibu Negara pertama Republik Indonesia? apa kontribusi Fatmawati Soekarno sebagai Ibu Negara dalam panggung politik Indonesia? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi feminis. Adapun teori yang digunakan adalah teori peranan sosial dan feminisme. Metode penelitiannya adalah metode penelitian sejarah dengan empat tahapan yakni heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah perjalanan Fatmawati di bidang politik dimulai ketika ia menikah dengan Soekarno dan berstatus sebagai Ibu Negara pertama Republik Indonesia. Fatmawati telah menjalankan tugas kenegaraan dengan baik seperti melakukan kunjungan nasional dan internasional, menjamu tamu-tamu negara di istana negara yang datang dari India, Pakistan, dan negara lainnya, dan menjadi perantara bergabungnya Ny. Wakijah Sukijo, Ny. Pujo Utomo, dan Ny. Mahmudah Masjhud sebagai tiga perempuan pertama yang tergabung dalam KNIP yang menandai sejarah baru bagi partisipasi perempuan dalam politik di Indonesia. Selama menjadi Ibu Negara Fatmawati juga menjadi pendamping sekaligus penasihat organisasi perempuan seperti Kowani (Kongres Wanita Indonesia), Perwari (Persatuan Wanita Indonesia), Persis (Persatuan Istri Tentara). Fatmawati juga sangat peduli dengan kesejahteraan rakyat, khususnya kaum perempuan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan pendirian Yayasan Ibu Soekarno yang berfungsi sebagai rumah sakit bagi anak-anak penderita kanker. Yayasan ini tidak hanya memberikan pelayanan medis, tetapi juga pendidikan bagi pasien dan keluarganya agar tetap mendapatkan pendidikan yang baik. Fatmawati memiliki komitmen kuat untuk memberdayakan perempuan agar mandiri secara ekonomi dan tidak bergantung pada laki-laki.

Abstract

This study was conducted based on the problem that interpersonal communication between the head of the madrasah and teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Madinatul ‘Ulum Pamenang, Merangin Jambi had not been implemented optimally. Initial observations indicated that communication tended to be one-way, the intensity of interaction was limited, and teachers were often reluctant to express opinions, which affected the effectiveness of professional relationships and work motivation. The purpose of this research was to describe the forms of social competence possessed by the head of the madrasah in improving teachers’ interpersonal communication, to analyze its implementation, and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employed a qualitative field research approach conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Madinatul ‘Ulum Pamenang. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results showed that the social competence of the head of the madrasah played an important role in improving teachers’ interpersonal communication, particularly through coordination, supervision, guidance, and professional interaction. However, several obstacles were found, including limited communication intensity, lack of structured communication strategies, and psychological distance between the head of the madrasah and teachers. Efforts to overcome these obstacles were carried out through strengthening communication approaches, encouraging participatory interaction, and improving the quality of professional relationships within the madrasah environment.

Abstract

Social-emotional development is a fundamental aspect of early childhood growth that greatly influences children’s future quality of life. Preliminary observations at Bunga Tanjung Kindergarten, Tanjung Village, Bathin VIII District, Sarolangun Regency indicated that children’s social-emotional abilities were not yet optimal, as reflected in low self-confidence, limited social interaction, difficulties in cooperation, and limited emotional regulation. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of singing activities, particularly Islamic-themed songs, to develop the social-emotional skills of Group B children. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The subjects of the study consisted of teachers and Group B children, while data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and the validity of data was ensured through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The findings revealed that the planned and continuous implementation of singing activities created an enjoyable learning environment, increased children’s participation, and improved empathy, cooperation, and emotional control. However, several constraints were identified, including differences in children’s characteristics, limited learning facilities, and variations in teachers’ competence in managing singing activities. The study concludes that Islamic themed singing activities are effective as a learning strategy to support the development of social-emotional skills in early childhood education.
