Abstract

Much research has been done on the Covid-19 pandemic, both in terms of health, economy, and education. This study aims to examine the leadership style and policies of Nadiem Makarim in finding solutions to the pandemic that occurred in the field of education. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The conclusion from this literature study is that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the order of human life throughout the world, including Indonesia. Education is one sector that has an impact on this condition. The Minister of Education, Nadiem Makarim, with his young, energetic, innovative, and creative leadership style has changed the face of Indonesian education. From the results of the research conducted, there are several recommendations, namely: First, the government is expected to review the education system that has not been evenly distributed throughout Indonesia, how facilities and human resources are still far behind in the regions. Second, the public is expected to be more sensitive and concerned in technological developments so that technology can be used positively and beneficially and teaching staff are expected to learn technology and information so that they are not left behind on issues of knowledge development.

Abstract

This research aims to describe several important aspects related to the Madrasah Aliyah Ulul Albab curriculum before development, during the curriculum development process, and the impact of curriculum development in improving the quality of education. The research approach used is qualitative using a phenomenological approach, which focuses on understanding curriculum development activities at MA Ulul Albab. This research takes the form of a case study with a single approach, with a single data analysis. In carrying out this research, researchers used various data collection techniques, including observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants involved various parties within MA Ulul Albab, such as the school principal, deputy head of curriculum, school committee, Islamic boarding school administrators, deputy head of student affairs, and homeroom teachers from various levels. To ensure the validity of the data, researchers carried out triangulation and peer checking through discussions. The research results show that the Madrasah Aliyah Ulul Albab curriculum before development was an integrity curriculum which was the result of a combination of the 2013 Curriculum (K-13) with the Islamic boarding school curriculum. Curriculum development is carried out optimally, implementing K-13, implementing the semester credit unit system (SKS), and meeting Content Standards and Graduate Competency Standards (SKL). In the development process, MA Ulul Albab uses Information and Communication Technology (ICT) media as a learning tool and utilizes online media to access lessons.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the speaking ability of 5-6 year old children in Raudhatul Athfal Alaika, Kemingking Dalam Village, Taman Rajo District, Muaro Jambi Regency, by using a demonstration method based on animated videos. This method involves teachers showing certain steps directly in front of children, so that the learning process becomes more interactive and enjoyable. The main challenge faced in teaching is the lack of interesting methods, which results in children feeling bored and having difficulty understanding the subject matter. The research design uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with two cycles, each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through careful observation of children's participation and responses during the learning process. The data were then analyzed using the average test and learning completeness to measure the improvement in children's speaking ability. The results of the pre-cycle showed that only 10 children were included in the BSH category in answering questions and constructing simple sentences, with a distribution of values ​​consisting of 4 children in the BB category, 5 children in the MB category, and 1 child in the BSB category in expressing ideas. After cycle I, all children showed improvement, entering the MB and BSH categories in each language skill indicator. In cycle II, all children achieved the BSB criteria, were able to answer more complex questions, express ideas better, and understand the concepts contained in the storybook. The conclusion of this study shows that the animated video-based demonstration method is very effective in improving children's speaking skills, expanding vocabulary, and providing an understanding of language use in a more real context. This method also creates a fun learning atmosphere, so that children are more motivated to actively participate in learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (a) comprehend how the Tahfizh Islamic Boarding School’s administration developed its educational vision and objective. (b) to identify the motivating and impeding elements; (c) to disclose initiatives aimed at enhancing the administration of the Tahfizh al-Qur’an Islamic Boarding School. This study used a descriptive-analytical approach that was divided into three stages: theoretical explanation, field fact description, and examination of the fit between theory and practice. Techniques for gathering data include documentation, interviews, and observation. The Miles and Huberman model is used in data analysis, while data triangulation is used in data validity procedures. The study discovered that Tahfizh Islamic boarding schools’ management, from planning and organizing to implementing and supervising, has not optimally adhered to contemporary management principles. This is evident in the lack of readily available, factual planning, organizing, management, and supervision documents. Supporting factors include a) the academic community’s high degree of openness to students; b) the teachers’ abilities; c) the teachers' role in imparting knowledge and the muaddib’s role in transforming it; d) the kiai’s role in providing round-the-clock supervision for students; e) the leader’s significant influence and some members of the public’s trust; and f) the academic community’s shared commitment. The fact that funding is scarce and infrastructure is still missing is an impediment. By hosting Tahfiz Al-Qur’an graduations, efforts are being made to enhance the administration of Islamic boarding schools that follow the Tahfizh Qur’an and to further the goals and objectives of education in the province of Jambi. Every year, there is a tahfizh Al-Qur’an graduation, which encourages students to build their educational vision and mission by arranging competitions amongst themselves and by having them participate in MTQ. The Tahfizh Qur’an Islamic boarding school also attempts to fill in time management, recitations, and imam scheduling.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the storytelling method on language skills in children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten, Reteh District, Indra Giri Hilir Regency, Riau. This research method is a causal survey in which Umar suggests that this method is a method used to analyze the relationship of variables with other variables. The data analysis technique uses statistics using the t-test with the SPPS 16.0 program. hypothesis testing is carried out using a significance of ???? < 0.050. thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted because 0.000 < 0.05. This proves that the storytelling method has an effect on children's language skills.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the main challenges faced by principals in managing the curriculum transition in senior high schools and the strategies implemented to overcome these obstacles. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum requires significant adaptation for principals and educators, especially in terms of understanding and implementing changes that include more independent and project-based learning management. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is collected through in-depth interviews with principals, teachers, and school supervisors. Purposive sampling technique was applied to select informants who have direct experience in implementing the Independent Curriculum. Data analysis was carried out thematically with a source triangulation approach to increase the validity of the research results. The findings of this study indicate that the main challenges lie in teacher understanding and infrastructure readiness, while the strategies implemented include intensive training and clear division of roles between educators. Evaluations and recommendations from school supervisors also provide important contributions in assessing the success of curriculum implementation. The contribution of these findings is expected to be a reference for education policies in optimizing curriculum transition in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis strategi kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru di Madrasah Aliyah Ittihadul Khoiriyah, Desa Muaro Jambi, Kecamatan Maro Sebo, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Berbagai tantangan sering dihadapi dalam upaya ini, termasuk keterbatasan sumber daya, kurangnya pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional yang berkelanjutan, serta beban kerja administratif yang tinggi. Dalam konteks ini, peran kepala madrasah menjadi sangat penting untuk merumuskan dan mengimplementasikan strategi yang efektif guna mengatasi tantangan tersebut dan mendukung pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala madrasah di MA Ittihadul Khoiriyah menerapkan berbagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru, seperti meningkatkan disiplin kerja melalui rapat rutin, monitoring kehadiran, serta sistem reward and punishment yang transparan. Kepala madrasah juga menekankan kerja sama tim melalui program "sharing session" dan proyek lintas mata pelajaran. Evaluasi rutin terhadap kinerja guru membantu mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pelatihan yang sesuai. Selain itu, penyediaan fasilitas dan sumber daya yang memadai, seperti perpustakaan yang lengkap dan laboratorium yang berfungsi dengan baik, mendukung proses pembelajaran yang inovatif. Kolaborasi antar guru didorong melalui komunitas pembelajaran profesional, sementara insentif keuangan diberikan bagi pendidik yang berprestasi

Abstract

Kesehatan merupakan faktor utama dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Salah satu upaya mandiri yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui pemanfaatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) sebagai solusi pengobatan tradisional yang murah, mudah diperoleh, serta aman jika digunakan dengan tepat. Artikel ini membahas kegiatan edukasi pemanfaatan TOGA yang dilaksanakan di RT 02 RW 02 Kelurahan Bayung Lencir. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan lima tahapan, meliputi survei awal, pelatihan dan edukasi, pengembangan taman TOGA bersama, monitoring dan evaluasi, serta diseminasi hasil dan keberlanjutan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam mengenal serta mengelola berbagai jenis tanaman obat, seperti jahe, kunyit, kencur, daun sirih, dan lidah buaya. Warga mampu mempraktikkan penanaman, perawatan, hingga pengolahan sederhana tanaman obat menjadi ramuan herbal. Selain meningkatkan kesehatan keluarga, pemanfaatan TOGA juga memberikan dampak positif pada aspek ekonomi melalui penghematan biaya kesehatan serta potensi usaha produk herbal rumah tangga. Kegiatan ini juga memperkuat nilai gotong royong dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Secara keseluruhan, edukasi TOGA di Bayung Lencir terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemandirian kesehatan, memperkuat keberlanjutan lingkungan, serta mendorong pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis kearifan lokal. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model inspiratif yang dapat diterapkan di komunitas lain guna menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih sehat, mandiri, dan berdaya saing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis proyek dalam upaya meningkatkan karakter Islami siswa melalui integrasi Profil Pelajar Pancasila (PPP) dan Profil Pelajar Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin (PPRA) di SMPN 1 Pelepat, Kabupaten Bungo. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena menurunnya internalisasi nilai-nilai religius dan sosial di kalangan remaja sekolah menengah, serta kebutuhan akan model pembelajaran yang mampu menggabungkan dimensi spiritual, moral, dan kebangsaan secara harmonis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dengan desain kualitatif dan kuantitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan guru PAI dan siswa, serta angket untuk mengukur perubahan sikap dan perilaku religius siswa setelah penerapan proyek berbasis PPP dan PPRA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran PAI berbasis proyek mampu meningkatkan lima indikator utama karakter Islami siswa, yaitu kejujuran, tanggung jawab, kerja sama, kepedulian sosial, dan religiusitas. Peningkatan tersebut ditunjukkan oleh skor rata-rata kenaikan sebesar 28% pada indikator karakter setelah intervensi selama tiga bulan. Selain itu, keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proyek yang berbasis nilai Pancasila dan Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamin mendorong terjadinya pembelajaran reflektif dan kolaboratif, yang memperkuat dimensi moral dan spiritual mereka. Guru PAI berperan sebagai fasilitator dan learning designer dalam merancang kegiatan proyek kontekstual yang menumbuhkan empati, toleransi, serta tanggung jawab sosial. Penelitian ini berkontribusi secara teoretis terhadap pengembangan model pembelajaran PAI berbasis nilai integratif yang menghubungkan PPP dan PPRA, serta memperluas pemahaman tentang sinergi antara pendidikan karakter nasional dan nilai-nilai Islam universal dalam konteks sekolah negeri. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pendidik dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran PAI yang berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter Islami siswa secara menyeluruh dan kontekstual.
