Abstract

The visual beauty of entertainment actors is the main attraction for Korean popular culture products, especially beauty trends. Korean wave through beauty products offers a new discourse that beauty is not only absolute for the female but also represented through the male body. This is interesting to research because the preference for consumption patterns of aesthetic culture among Korean fans is not only for women, male fans are also objects of the Korean beauty product market. Interviews were conducted with Korean fans in Bandung, who are members of the Hansamo community and members of the cover dance by face-to-face. The results showed that South Korea successfully marketed beauty products through the perfect visual quality of Korean celebrities, instant branding, pop-up stores with attractive themes, and the provision of free testers. Korean Wave succeeded in utilizing the desire of Korean fans to consume Korean beauty products to fulfill their prestige in achieving the perfect face, fashion (style), and appearance like their idol.

Abstract

The Bandung City Government strives to create a comfortable city space for its citizens. Preliminary studies show that not all city residents use city parks. This study aims to explore the perception of city residents about the safety of public spaces in Bandung City. The research was conducted by combining quantitative methods using questionnaires with qualitative methods through observation and documentation of places that were considered the safest and least safe from the results of the questionnaire. The results showed that places that are considered safe have an excellent level of neatness and cleanliness, equipped with street and garden furniture devices, large pedestrian areas, and attractive to be photo spots. Places that are perceived as unsafe are places that lack clear use and function, have a poor level of service, and are in areas that have low visibility. Recommendations for the redesign of unsafe places are presented by integrating built environment principles that can tackle crime.

Abstract

Several universities in Indonesia have received assistance for the construction of student flats since the issuance of the policy on assistance for the construction of flats for higher education institutions. One of them is in the city of Bandung on the STAIPI Campus (Persistent Indonesian Islamic School of Religion) Bandung, Kec. Bojongsoang, Bandung City. This university received donations for a 1-tower student flat building with a prototype design. In this observation, we will discuss the effectiveness of the use of special housing units for the disabled in student flats, and that these disabled residential facilities are used properly according to their designation. The research methodology used is qualitative, and the research method used is a literature review method. In the 1 year, the student flats facilities, especially the disabled housing units, and several applications of inclusive designs have not been effective. For example, the disabled housing unit is temporarily filled by other students. The conclusion from the effectiveness of the use of special housing for the disabled is still not effective, because this student Rusunawa facility has only been operating for 1 year from the 2020 Academic Year to the 2021 Academic Year. Keywords: Student Flats, Disabled Residential Units, Prototype

Abstract

There must be an evaluation of new approaches to entrepreneurship in the domain of education in fulfilling the demands of the current era, that is to adapt with the environmental business changes and digital technology that occur in a country. This research aims to study the condition of integration implementation factors in vocational education related to entrepreneurship and digital technology. The method used is quantitative descriptive, including the evaluation research category with data processing and analysis of instrument test such as; validity test, reliability instrument, and then by using Respondent Level Achievement (RLA) technique to analyze the collected data. Research findings of the results and discussions show that the value of variable aspects indicators of vocational education is varied and there tend to be many indicators that still have low value. It indicates that there must be improvement for the school that scores low and development for the school that scores good. The cooperation among schools can become one of alternative solutions to improve the downsides that exist at schools. The schools that score the highest value of aspects/indicators can be best practice for the schools that still have low scores.

Abstract

Despite the progress made with BIM integration into the construction industries of many developed countries, its adoption remains limited in most developing countries. This study systematically reviews 56 articles using the TOE framework to identify and analyse critical barriers that impede BIM implementation within architectural design contexts. Following the PRISMA guidelines, the review categorizes these barriers into three primary dimensions: technological, organizational and environmental. The results revealed that critical technological barriers, such as the high cost of hardware and software, compatibility issues with design tools, and technical complexities in using the technology, hinder architectural innovation and visualization capabilities. Organizational barriers, including insufficient BIM-trained professionals, lack of awareness of BIM capabilities, resistance within design teams and lack of management support, significantly delay BIM integration in design studio workflows. Environmental barriers such as insufficient regulatory frameworks, lack of client demand for BIM-based project design, and weak collaboration across multidisciplinary consultants slow the adoption of digital design practices. The study underscores the interrelated characteristics of these critical barriers, which form a perpetuating cycle that limits the evolution of design practices in developing countries. Addressing these interrelated barriers is crucial for improving design creativity and integrating BIM into studio practices. Future research should examine regional variances and pedagogical strategies for overcoming the BIM adoption challenges in architectural contexts.

Abstract

The construction industry’s digital transformation demands professionals with advanced digital skills. This study assesses the digital competencies of construction students at Ghana’s technical universities, focusing on self-reported proficiency and perceived job readiness. Based on data from 271 final-year students across six institutions, the study employs a data-driven quantitative approach using a structured questionnaire and analyses through descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression. Findings reveal moderate proficiency in foundational skills like digital literacy and communication, but significant gaps in advanced areas such as cloud computing, 3D modelling, and coding. While students report high access to general digital tools, training in emerging technologies remains limited. Regression results indicate that digital literacy, planning and estimation skills, and access to training resources are key predictors of job readiness. The study highlights the need for curriculum reforms that incorporate a wider range of digital competencies aligned with Construction 4.0. It recommends enhancing hands-on learning, improving institutional support systems, and encouraging self-directed skill development. These interventions are crucial to bridging the gap between academic preparation and industry expectations, equipping graduates with the capabilities required for a digitally evolving construction sector in Ghana.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to understand the roles, trends, and development of research in entrepreneurship education.  The method used is bibliometric analysis with the help of tools such as OpenRefine, VOSViewer, MS Excel, and Bibliometrix. These tools were used to analyze document distribution per year across different countries, institutions, journals, authors, topic trends, and keyword co-occurrences. The search was conducted on August 10, 2024, the literature search was conducted by entering words based on the title, abstract and keywords "education" AND "entrepreneurship", with restrictions in the data search, namely for the type of document in the form of research journal articles from 2016 to 2024 with limited criteria, data was obtained as much as 2,592 documents. The results of this study show a growth in the publication of articles on entrepreneurship education over the past nine years, with an average annual increase of more than fifteen percent. However, a decline was observed in 2019-2020. China is the most productive country in publishing articles related to entrepreneurship education, while the most productive institution is Universitas Negeri Jakarta from Indonesia. The top journal in this field is Education and Training Journal. Author co-occurrence analysis reveals two major networks of authors, led by Wibowo A and Wang J, respectively. Based on the data collected, the most frequently appearing keywords are "entrepreneurship" and "entrepreneurship education."  The latest topic trends related to entrepreneurship education include terms such as "innovation and entrepreneurship education,” "innovation and entrepreneurship," and "evaluation models.” Innovation and evaluation models become the current trend in this research area. This study can be useful for identifying research gaps regarding the development and implementation of entrepreneurship education, with the latest trends focusing on innovation and evaluation models.  Based on the data search, further comprehensive studies on the integration of entrepreneurship education, vocational education, and digital technology are needed.  According to the analyzed Scopus metadata, research on the integration of these fields is still very limited.
