Abstract

Inisiatif guru jika dihadapkan dengan keterbatasan fasilitas laboratorium mengunakan bahan-bahan sederhana yang ditemukan disekitar sekolah seperti memanfaatkan ruang kelas, peralatan sederhana, atau bantuan dari kolega atau komunitas lokal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami secara mendalam inisiatif guru sekolah dasar dalam menyediakan media dan bahan praktikum sains di tengah keterbatasan fasilitas laboratorium. Populasi penelitian ini adalah tujuh guru sekolah dasar yang mengajar mata pelajaran sains. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian dapat mencakup panduan wawancara dan observasi untuk mengumpulkan data yang relevan, seperti jenis inisiatif guru menggunakan media dan bahan pratikum yang diambil, kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru, dan hal-hal yang digunakan guru dalam proses pratikum sains/solusi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 3 guru yang menggunakan alat peraga sederhana dengan memanfaatkan alam sebagai media pembelajaran, 2 guru yang menggunakan internet sebagai media pembelajaran, 1 guru yang memanfaatkan laboratorium unversitas dan 1 guru menggunakan fasilitas yang dapat menanamkan konsep pemahaman peserta didik. Adapun solusi yang dapat digunakan seperti memanfaatkan internet dan menggunakan bahan alam yang seadanya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using natural materials in science practicum activities amid limited laboratory facilities on understanding contextual learning among fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 34, Sorong Regency. Natural materials serve as an alternative medium for conducting science practicum due to the lack of proper laboratory equipment. The research was conducted from July 2024 to February 2025. A quantitative approach was used, employing a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 22 students from SD Inpres 34, Sorong Regency. Data were collected through interviews and written tests in the form of a pretest and posttest. The results showed a significant difference in the average, maximum, and minimum scores before and after the treatment. The significance value was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can thus be concluded that there is a significant difference in students' learning outcomes between the pretest and posttest, meaning that the use of natural materials in science practicum activities amid limited laboratory facilities has a positive effect on students’ understanding of contextual learning in fifth grade at SD Inpres 34, Sorong Regency.

Abstract

Soil type classification is important for agriculture, geology, and civil engineering because soil characteristics influence land suitability, tillage strategy, irrigation, fertilization, and foundation stability. However, manual soil identification through field observation or laboratory analysis can be time-consuming and may introduce subjective errors. This study proposes an automated soil image classification approach using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The dataset comprises six soil categories-black soil (tanah hitam), yellow soil (tanah kuning), peat soil (tanah gambut), cinder/volcanic soil (tanah vulkanik), laterite soil (tanah laterit), and cracked soil (tanah retak) -collected from a public Kaggle dataset and complemented with web-extracted cracked-soil images. Images are preprocessed through resizing, normalization, and training-time augmentation before being split into training, validation, and testing subsets. Experimental results show that the proposed CNN achieves 91.61% test accuracy and substantially improves performance compared to training without preprocessing. These findings indicate that CNN-based models, supported by appropriate preprocessing, can provide practical decision support for rapid soil type identification under diverse image conditions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan pengembangan modul ajar bahasa Indonesia berbasis flipbook digital tentang topik cerita pendek Papua untuk siswa kelas IV SDIT Al-Izzah di Kota Sorong yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang memiliki lima tahap: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Berdasarkan data uji validasi dari validator ahli materi, media, dan bahasa, modul ajar bahasa Indonesia yang dikembangkan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 3,66, yang dikategorikan sebagai sangat valid untuk digunakan. 2) Berdasarkan data uji kepraktisan dari hasil angket guru dan siswa, modul ajar bahasa Indonesia ini menunjukkan kategori yang sangat praktis dengan skor rata-rata 87,3. 3) Berdasarkan data uji efektivitas melalui uji n-gain, produk ini masuk dalam kategori sangat efektif dengan skor rata-rata 0,72, sehingga modul ajar ini sangat efektif untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hal ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul ajar ini sangat valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Problems of kinematics of rectilinear motion in high-level cognitive level problems often display complexity in their solutions. This research aims to describe the use of computational thinking (CT) methods in helping students solve linear motion kinematics problems designed at a high cognitive level (analysis, evaluation, and creation). This research uses a descriptive quantitative method by using skills observation sheets and analysis of performance results as data collection instruments. The sample was 14 students from the Natural Sciences Tadris study program in introductory physics courses. This research's data analysis technique uses an interpretation of student performance results in solving linear motion kinematics questions at a high cognitive level using the performance stages of the CT method. Significant findings show that the average student cannot solve cases at a high cognitive level using CT skills. Students can only complete and pass the stages of computational thinking skills in the temporary decomposition and abstraction phases but have difficulties in the visualization and design stages at the analysis, evaluation, and creation levels.
