Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan Twitter (X) sebagai media penyebaran informasi dalam fandom Korean Pop (K-Pop) idol, dengan menekankan aspek kebutuhan informasi, keterlibatan digital, dan efektivitas penyampaian pesan. Masalah utama yang diangkat meliputi masifnya penyebaran informasi yang tidak terverifikasi, rendahnya literasi informasi di kalangan penggemar, serta tantangan dalam menjaga akurasi dan kecepatan penyebaran informasi melalui media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap 100 anggota fandom K-Pop yang aktif menggunakan Twitter (X) yang dipilih melalui teknik accidental sampling. Penelitian disusun berdasarkan teori Uses and Gratifications dan teori penyebaran informasi, Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner dengan skala Likert empat poin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fitur seperti hashtag, retweet, dan mention sangat mendukung pembentukan arus informasi yang cepat dan terorganisir, serta memperkuat kohesi sosial antar anggota fandom. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Twitter tidak hanya menjadi media sosial biasa, melainkan juga platform strategis dalam membentuk solidaritas digital dan penyebaran informasi secara efisien di kalangan penggemar K-Pop.

Abstract

Background of the study: One of the important roles of libraries is to build a knowledge-based society ecosystem by making libraries an open interaction space through a library transformation strategy based on social inclusion. Purpose: The study was designed to investigate the issues associated with retooling and re-skilling cataloguing librarians in the digital era. Method: The design used is a qualitative analysis based on a detailed case study of the impact of the Social Inclusion-Based Library Transformation Program on Community Welfare in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Findings: The core impact of the Social Inclusion-Based Library Transformation Program is summarized by five objectives: enhancing access to information (via digitalization/literacy), fostering community skills development (via targeted training), reducing unemployment rates (via job skills/entrepreneurship), promoting social participation (via community engagement), and improving the local economy (via business development/creative economy). Conclusion: Through the programs implemented, libraries can strengthen their role as public libraries in improving the quality of human resources, so that community literacy skills increase, enabling them to play a more active role in sustainable development and achieving the goals set out in the SDGs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi koleksi perpustakaan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran di MAN 1 Kota Padang berdasarkan Standar Nasional Perpustakaan (SNP) Nomor 12. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan populasi sebanyak 889 pemustaka, dan sampel sebanyak 99 responden yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket berbasis skala likert yang disusun berdasarkan indikator SNP, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk menggambarkan persepsi pemustaka terhadap kondisi koleksi perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa koleksi perpustakaan MAN 1 Kota Padang secara umum berada kategori baik dan telah mampu mendukung proses pembelajaran. Koleksi yang tersedia dinilai relevan dengan kebutuhan belajar siswa, serta pengelolaannya sudah berjalan cukup efektif sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa koleksi perpustakaan MAN 1 Kota Padang telah berperan penting dalam menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze user perceptions of digital collections at the Padang State University Library. Using Fred Davis' Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical basis, this study focuses on six key indicators: usefulness, ease of use, social influence, trust, facilitating conditions, and intention to use. The method used was descriptive quantitative, with 100 respondents selected through random sampling. The results indicate that user perceptions of digital collections are generally good across all indicators, particularly in the aspects of usefulness and trust. However, some users still experience obstacles in access and navigation. This study concludes that improving user literacy and digital infrastructure can strengthen the effectiveness of digital collections in supporting academic activities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' perceptions of digital services in the library of SMA Negeri 10 Padang. This study used a descriptive quantitative method. The population in this study were all 1,144 active students of SMA Negeri 10 Padang. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and obtained 92 respondents. The theory used in this study is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The results show that SMA Negeri 10 Padang students have a positive perception of the use of digital services in the library. This is based on the results of data analysis on the perceived usefulness indicator, which obtained an average score of 3.05 and the perceived ease of use indicator, which received an average score of 3.22. Based on the average scores obtained, the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use indicators are in the good category on an interval scale. This means that digital services in the SMA Negeri 10 Padang library are perceived positively by students in helping and facilitating information searches.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memetakan tren penelitian pada Jurnal Berkala Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi (BIP) periode 2021–2025. Menggunakan pendekatan bibliometrik kuantitatif, sebanyak 128 artikel dari pangkalan data Dimensions dianalisis. Microsoft Excel dan VOSviewer digunakan untuk analisis produktivitas serta visualisasi jaringan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan produktivitas yang konsisten hingga mencapai 30 artikel per tahun pada dua tahun terakhir. Universitas Padjadjaran tercatat sebagai institusi paling produktif, sedangkan Tamara Adriani Salim menjadi kontributor terbanyak. Meskipun demikian, pola kolaborasi antarpeneliti masih terfragmentasi secara lokal. Evolusi topik memperlihatkan pergeseran dari isu COVID-19 (2021–2022) ke studi bibliometrik, dan terkini kembali menguat pada topik fundamental seperti perpustakaan akademik pada 2024–2025. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam menyediakan peta komprehensif dinamika penelitian kepustakawanan berbasis analisis bibliometrik sebagai dasar pengambilan kebijakan editorial jurnal.

Abstract

Introduction. The dissemination of public information through digital video at the Office of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics (Diskominfotik) of West Sumatra Province focuses on the editing process and the content standards applied. This study is important because digital video has become a primary medium for government communication in delivering information to the public in a fast, accurate, and transparent manner in the digital era. Data Collection Methods. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with three informants who were directly involved in the video content production process.. Data Analysis. Data were analyzed through stages of observation, interviews, data reduction, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the workflow of the video editing process. Results and Discussion. The findings indicate that the video editing process at Diskominfotik is conducted based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that refer to public information disclosure regulations and government communication ethics. The editing stages include footage selection, message structuring, voice-over recording, subtitle insertion, and multi-level review by relevant officials as a form of information gatekeeping. Technical obstacles such as audio quality issues, field conditions, and visual synchronisation problems are addressed through editing techniques and content adjustments. Conclusion. The video production strategy implemented by Diskominfotik is effective in enhancing the accuracy, accessibility, and effectiveness of public information dissemination. Future studies are recommended to examine audience perceptions of government video content.

Abstract

Background: The rapid proliferation of digital information has intensified the need for robust information literacy (IL) competencies in higher education. Many Library and Information Science (LIS) curricula rely on decontextualized instructional designs, which often limit students' ability to apply these critical skills within authentic social frameworks. Purpose: This study evaluates the efficacy of a Project-Based Service Learning (PjBSL) model, developed using the ADDIE instructional framework, in enhancing the applied information literacy outcomes of undergraduate LIS students. Methods: The researchers employed a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design involving 60 students. Participants were divided into experimental and control cohorts (n = 30 per group). Data were synthesized from expert validation, student practicality surveys, ACRL-aligned performance rubrics, and standardized learning assessments. Findings: The PjBSL model demonstrated exceptional validity (ICC = 0.922) and high practicality (M = 89.3). Notably, the experimental group showed significant performance gains over the control group (p < 0.001), supported by a remarkably large effect size (d = 2.61). Originality/Value: The findings indicate that integrating structured community-based projects transforms information literacy from a theoretical exercise into a socially contextualized practice. This research offers a scalable pedagogical shift for LIS education, bridging the gap between classroom instruction and real-world application.

Abstract

Although social media has become a primary source of information for students, the proliferation of clickbait content raises concerns about the quality and credibility of the information consumed. However, studies that specifically discuss the relationship between digital information literacy and students’ critical attitudes toward clickbait content remain limited. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between information literacy and students’ critical attitudes toward clickbait content on social media. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design, involving 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results showed a significant positive relationship between information literacy and students’ critical attitudes. This finding contributes to the development of studies on information literacy and critical thinking in digital contexts, particularly in dealing with potentially misleading information on social media. Thus, information literacy plays an important role in shaping students’ ability to evaluate, assess, and respond critically to clickbait content.
