Abstract

Research on the design of fuel measuring device for vendors using Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller and positive displacement flow meter sensor was conducted. It aimed to design and create a prototype of fuel measuring device for retail traders, and to find error values on the device. The research began with searching for reference books, making hardware and programming, and finally testing the device. The components used were Arduino Mega 2560, positive displacement flow meter sensor, keypad, selenoid valve and 4x20 LCD. The test was performed by comparing the results of the measuring cup to the number displayed on the LCD, followed by reproducibility. Data collection was carried out every volume of 500ml, 1000ml, 1500ml, and 2000ml. The results of the research showed that the error value was 2.24% with the comparison of 1.91%. Several factors affecting the highness of error value were human factor, sensor and device factor, as well as the comparison device being used. Referring to the error value that smaller than 5%, this device is worthy for mass production

Abstract

A measure of liquid thickness is needed to make a dough or formula for medicinal syrup. The tools to measure the thickness available in the market are analog that is less accurate and precision. To overcome these problems, digital density measuring devices are needed. The limitation of the digital density meter, especially liquid, urges the author to carry out further research on the digitization of this measuring instrument. This research aims to make a digital density meter for liquid matter with a high level of measurement accuracy, as the reference measurement study for liquid density in digital form. The instrument was designed using the load cell method as the main sensor. It was also equipped with a DS18B20 water-resistant temperature sensor to measure the temperature of the liquid. The data were analyzed to obtain the accuracy and error of the liquid density measurement from the density meter. The liquid samples used for research were Pertamax, solar, and water. Sample accuracy and error measurement results were 99.83 percent and 0.17 percent respectively for Pertamax, 99.63 percent and 0.37 percent for solar and 99.46 percent and 0.54 percent for water. The measured density value was finally shown on the 16x2 LCD.

Abstract

DC electrical voltage - current measuring instrument and data logger is an instrument used to measure the current and voltage generated wind turbine and recording the measurement results. The fuction of this instrument is to activate the dummy load on the wind turbine control system to reduce the voltage that exceeds the safe limit when saving electrical energy. The purpose of this research is to manufacture and analyze DC electrical voltage - current measuring instrument with arduino uno based data logger which is capable to measure DC current and voltage generated by Hybrid Power Plants (PLTH) in Pantai Baru Pandansimo Bantul Yogyakarta, and using metrology method to analyze the degree of uncertainty of the measuring instrument. In this research, heuristic method is used to determine the characteristics of the sensor. Sensor characterization has been done, followed by calibration of measurement instrument to determine the magnitude of the uncertainty of the measurement instrument. The results of this research indicated that the characteristics of voltage sensor (CR5310-300) obtained equation of linear regression y=0.29253x + 0.662, while the current sensor characteristics (WCS1800) obtained equation of linear regression y=0.072978x - 37.2408. After the characterization procedure is done, the measuring instrument callibrated using a traced clampmeter. The calibration results indicated that the voltage sensor has accuracy of 99.99%. Whereas for the current measuring instrument has an uncertainty that is extended at standard current 0 -  9 amperes of 0.316 amperes and at the standard current of 9.7 amperes of 0.317 amperes with an accuracy of 99.98%. Based on the results of this research, can be obtained that current and voltage measuring instrument has good accuracy level.

Abstract

Measuring the height of a liquid using analog is very difficult, and its accuracy is very low. It is more accurate to measure liquid level using digital technology. Measurements of the correct fuel level are needed to measure fuel purchases at fuel stations or fuel retailers. The study aimed to design laboratory-level fuel level measurements based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller. The method used was a direct comparison between the measuring instrument and a ruler as a measuring standard. This device used a gas gauging sensor on the vehicle and an Arduino Uno microcontroller to process data and display data on the LCD and LabView. The results of the fluid level measurement could be used to determine the height of fuel surface. The error rate of the measuring instrument was ± 3% in a calm and bumpy state. The results showed that the device is suitable for use in measurement.

Abstract

Abstract— This study uses 2 variations of the value of the DC 12V LED lamp power that is 12W and 15W with 3 different brands of lamp variations. Measurement of input voltage and current is carried out using a Krisbow KW06-490 DC clampmeter that has been calibrated as a standard measuring instrument and a Krisbow KW06-491 DC clampmeter that has not been calibrated as a test gauge 1 and a Multimeter Viper DT830B that has not been calibrated as a test gauge 2. Data the current and input voltage between each lamp and different lamp brands are used to calculate the value of the test lamp power and then compare it.The big conclusion from this study was found that the error value between the value of the test power or the use of DC 12V LED lamps with 12W written power on R, S, and T brand lamps was ± 51.67%, ± 70.75%, ± 61.33 %. In 15W lamps the brands R, S, and T were ± 7.20%, ± 0.53%, ± 8.27%.
