Abstract

This study aims to determine the cognitive development of children aged 4-5 years in Seteluk District. This study uses a type of survey research. With the study population all children aged 4-5 years in Seteluk District, totaling 384 children and the sampling technique using a stratified proportional random sampling technique, a sample of 80 children found in 5 schools. The data collection method used was observation and interview techniques, while the data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive analysis technique. As for the results of the study, it showed that the cognitive development of children aged 4-5 years in the aspects of learning and problem solving in Seteluk District based on an average yield of 61.00%. The aspect of logical thinking reaches 58.50% and the aspect of symbolic thinking reaches 60.57%. Therefore it can be concluded that of the three aspects of cognitive development, the dominant ones developing are the aspects of learning and problem solving.

Abstract

It is important to use Educational Game Tools (APE) to gain an understanding of education in children's learning processes. APE is specifically designed to develop aspects of child development, one of which is cognitive. This study aims to find out what APE is used, dominantly used and effectively used in developing the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years in Kindergartens throughout the Ampenan District in 2022. The type of research used is a survey research type. The sampling technique used was the proportionate stratified random sampling technique, with a population of 129 teachers in group B and a sample of 34 teachers in group B. The data collection tools used were questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis in this study uses percentages. The results of the study showed that 17 APEs were used to develop the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years, then 8 APEs were dominantly used, namely Geometry Blocks, Picture/Shape Cards, Number Blocks, Lego, Animal Puzzles, Ice Cream Sticks, Miniature Fruits/Vegetables and Maze Boards, then APE that is effectively used by all 17 APEs that teachers believe is effective in developing children's cognitive development. There are so many APE available in schools, of course the use of them is influenced by the teacher, it is hoped that the teacher will be able to provide and make the most of APE so that later the cognitive development of children can develop optimally.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the readiness of learning tools and learning supports in implementing the independent curriculum in PAUD cluster II, Pringgarata District. The type of research used is survey research. The population in this study were all PAUD institutions (KB and TK) in the Pringgarata sub-district totaling 56 institutions, while the sample in this study was 12 institutions with a sampling method using thenonprobability sampling. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire, with data analysis techniques in the form of descriptive quantitative data from the results of the questionnaire sheet. Based on the results of data analysis of the readiness of learning tools and learning supports, which consists of the availability of curriculum for implementing the Independent Curriculum (KOSP), the results were 66%, the availability of teaching modules 100%, and the availability of lesson plans 100%. Readiness to support learning in PAUD cluster II, Pringgarata sub-district already has learning support which includes the availability of school programs to improve good teacher competency with a percentage of 100%. From the results of the average percentage data above, it shows that the readiness of learning tools and learning support for implementing the independent curriculum in PAUD Cluster II, Pringgarata District, it is ready.
