Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Assemblr Edu application based on augmented reality (AR) in introducing farm animals to students with disabilities at Tamima Mumtaz Special School (SLB). The research was conducted using quantitative methods through Pretest and post-test. Data were obtained through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, analysis of supporting documents, and learning media experiments. The results showed that the use of Assemblr Edu can increase the interest and understanding of deaf students on farm animal material. Visualization of animals in three-dimensional and interactive form helps students to more easily recognize and understand the characteristics of these animals. Teachers also reported an increase in student participation in teaching and learning activities as well as improved cognitive and fine motor skills. However, this study also found some obstacles, such as limited technology infrastructure in schools and the need for additional training for teachers. Overall, the implementation of Assemblr Edu in Tamima Mumtaz SLB shows great potential as an effective learning tool for students with disabilities, although it needs further adjustments and support to optimize the learning process.

Abstract

One of the most common problems experienced by students with intellectual disabilities is attention problems. Attention problems in children with intellectual disabilities can worsen the impact of academic disabilities on children. To improve attention skills, effective learning strategies and attractive media are needed. The learning program using android-based augmented reality using tablet devices serves as a stimulator tool that not only creates interest but also student and teacher engagement in the learning process. The participants in this study are 10-year-old children with mild intellectual disabilities who attend SLB Idayu 1 Malang City. This research aims to analyze and evaluate the use of augmented reality-based media on attention in learning for children with intellectual disabilities. Data collection is done by observation with indicators of student on-task time. This research uses Single Subject Research experimental method with A-B-A design and descriptive statistical technique to analyze the data. The results showed a temporary increase in student attention to the learning program with augmented reality. This is due to several factors involved in learning activities. Factors that contribute to the results of this study include unfavorable environment, distraction, teaching style and the influence of the child's condition, while internal factors include boredom or illness and decreased motivation and interest.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and synthesize empirical evidence regarding the role of self-efficacy in career maturity among students with disabilities, a group that faces double challenges in the transition from education to the world of work. This study uses the systematic literature review (SLR) method with reference to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework. The search was conducted in major academic databases using strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in only three primary articles that were eligible for synthesis. The findings consistently show that self-efficacy plays a central and positive role in the career maturity of students with disabilities, both directly and through interaction with mediating and moderating variables such as resilience, intrinsic motivation, self-advocacy, and social support. The limited number of studies in this review restricts the generalizability of the findings. Further studies covering a more diverse range of contexts are needed to strengthen the conclusions.
