Abstract

Determining the choice of the department in the implementation of On Job Training (OJT) for students is always based on the needs and requests of the hotel or manually dividing the number of students who will carry out Job Training with the operational department in the hotel. Selection is often not in accordance with the potential of student expertise that has been achieved academically. Student academic data is often only archived, there is no utilization and efficient processing to obtain patterns, or habits that can be found as material for analysis in higher education institutions to improve the quality of students and campuses. To overcome the existing problems, the Udinus hospitality management study program utilizes student academic data to help determine department choices in the implementation of job training. The method used in this study is uses the Data Mining Classification Algorithm, namely Algorithm C4.5. The purpose of this research is to find out that the classification model created using the C4.5 Algorithm decision tree model can assist Study Programs in considering the selection of majors for student Job Training. This research is included in experimental research that uses data from students by carrying out the stages of classification methods such as literature review, data collection, data selection, data processing, and data testing. The result achieved is the application of the decision tree algorithm rule C4.5 by using data on student scores that can be used to assist in determining the selection of majors in the implementation of Job Training. The test results using the decision tree C4.5 algorithm obtained good results with an accuracy of up to 94.44% with a ratio of 80% training data and 20% test data, the ratio of the number of training data can affect the accuracy of values in each experiment.

Abstract

The agro-tourism pilot project in the village of Bojongnangka began at the end of 2021 with the construction of a tourist attraction, Gatra Kencana, an educational tourism destination for rice fields. Even though the tourist destination is built on top of the rice fields, the rice fields can still be planted with rice with homemade organic fertilizers. However, to become an agro-tourism village has not be followed with the development of tourism human resources and agro-tourism packages so that the beneficiaries have not be extended to the Bojongnangka village community. The absence of tourism activists who manage tour operations and the absence of tour packages to collaborate with community participation are challenges in developing this village. The methods used in this community service include the making of agro-tourism community groups, focused group discussions on agro-tourism, and theoretical and practical training carried out by the Village Community Empowerment Program (P2MD) team of Hospitality Management Study Program Dian Nuswantoro University. Finally, through deliberations with village officials and representatives of residents, an agreement was reached in the form of making an agro-tourism community group which was ratified through a Decree from the Head of Bojongnangka Village, 5 agro-tourism packages, and integration of tourism businesses to make Gatra Kencana a tourism icon in Bojongnangka Village. Moreover, the team also develop empowerment program of MSMEs in agro-tourism packages, signing a memorandum of understanding with the Association of Indonesian Tour Guides of Central Java Chapter and creating a display gallery to exhibit agro-tourism products of Bojongnangka village community.

Abstract

The development of the Bandungan Flower and Vegetable Market following its relocation presents a phenomenon distinct from other market relocations, even though it occurred during the pandemic. The minimal disputes over stall allocations, effective stakeholder approaches, and the successful alleviation of traffic congestion at the old Bandungan Flower and Vegetable Market contributed to the relative success of this market relocation. This study aims to examine the increase in the number of tourist visits before and after relocation and to examine the changes in facilities and infrastructure that support tourism at the new Bandungan Flower and Vegetable Market location. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method through field observations, interviews, and literature studies. The study reveals that the comprehensive facilities and supporting infrastructure for tourism make the new Bandungan market increasingly conducive and suitable for visitors. The supporting infrastructure includes adequate parking space, clean public restrooms, well-maintained prayer rooms, and an increase in the number of vendor stalls from 454 to 957 at the new market. Additionally, the rapid adaptation process for vendors in the new Bandungan Market environment has resulted in normal market activities, serving tourists and contributing to the economic improvement of Bandungan Market vendors.
