Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the active debate method on students' speaking skills in elementary school social studies subjects, the type of research used in this thesis is to use the type of literature study research. The research method used by researchers is to collect research data in the form of library data that has been selected, searched, presented and analyzed. The results of this study were the effectiveness of the active debate method affecting the speaking skills of elementary school students, as evidenced by the results of the study: H1 was accepted and Ho was rejected, because H1 had a p value <0.05, so it could be concluded that the experimental class using the method was better. debate because students can quickly hone their speaking skills, and can provide students to be able to think logically, rationally, and make students more active and interactive in issuing an idea or opinion, so that it becomes easier for students to accept and think critically about questions which was brought up by the interlocutor.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of covid-19 on the online learning for second grade students at SDN Cemengkalang.. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were principals, teachers, and students at SDN Cemengkalang. This study uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used steps of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity using triangulation of data sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that it can be seen that the real impact of the emergence of the covid-19 outbreak on teaching and learning activities for elementary school students is a shift in the learning process from initially doing face-to-face learning at school. teachers and other peers for distance learning, relying on technology and the internet available in every student's home without having to meet face-to-face with teachers and other students. The Covid-19 outbreak has had a major impact on aspects, both economic, social, cultural, especially in the field of education. In this case, character education must also coexist with the media used in online learning in accordance with the provisions of each subject and school teacher.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of core competencies (spiritual) in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in class IV SDN Cemengkalang and to describe indicators of spiritual competence that have been implemented online during the Covid-19 pandemic in class IV SDN Cemengkalang. Data analysis was carried out with data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that the implementation of spiritual competence in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in grade IV SDN Cemengkalang was known from several activities, including: a) Grade IV students at SDN Cemengkalang did not forget to continue to worship in a timely manner even when they were working on assignments. given by the teacher; b) Before and after the lesson, the fourth grade students of SDN Cemengkalang always pray for the smooth running of teaching and learning activities and so that the knowledge gained is beneficial for students; c) Fourth grade students at SDN Cemengkalang always answer the greetings spoken by the teacher before and after lessons; d) Grade IV students of SDN Cemengkalang are always grateful for having been given physical and spiritual health so that they are able to follow the delivery of subject matter via zoom and do assignments in the classroom application. The results also show that the indicators of spiritual competence that have been implemented online during the Covid-19 pandemic in grade IV SDN Cemengkalang are indicators of accepting and carrying out their religious teachings through praying before and after doing something, performing worship on time, greeting the teacher. and always grateful for the blessings and gifts of God Almighty for having been given health so that they can take part in learning activities even though they are online and can do their jobs well.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of character education in grade IV SDN Kebonsari based on 5 character values, namely religious, nationalist, integrity, independent, and mutual cooperation. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, observation and documentation. To test the validity of the data in this study, triangulation was used. The next stage of data analysis is in the form of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, information was obtained that the implementation of character education in grade IV SDN Kebonsari was carried out in various ways. The implementation of character education in grade IV SDN Kebonsari is implemented through habituation activities. The most prominent character values ​​in the implementation of character education are religious, nationalist, integrity, independent, and mutual cooperation.

Abstract

This research examines the disparity in students' comprehension of social studies materials during online and offline learning for Class IV SDN Pagerwojo. Employing a non-experimental quantitative ex post facto method, documentation of value data collection was employed as the instrument. The results indicate that online learning yields a mean understanding score of 70 (medium category) with a standard deviation of 10, while offline learning achieves a mean score of 73 (moderate category) with a standard deviation of 13. The findings suggest a discernible variance in students' understanding between the two modes of learning, albeit not significantly pronounced. The implications of this study contribute to the ongoing discourse on optimizing learning environments to better support students' comprehension in social studies subjects. Highlights: Insightful Comparison: This research delves into a comparative analysis of students' understanding of social studies materials in both online and offline learning environments, shedding light on the nuanced differences between the two. Moderate Disparity: The study reveals a moderate variance in students' comprehension levels between online and offline learning, emphasizing the need for further exploration to optimize educational approaches.
