Abstract

This article discusses the one-prey, one-predator, and the super predator model with different types of functional response. The rate of prey consumption by the predator follows Holling type I functional response and the rate of predator consumption by the super predator follows Holling type II functional response. We identify the existence and stability of critical points and obtain that the extinction of all population points is always unstable, and the other two are conditionally stable i.e., the super predator extinction point and the co-existence point. Furthermore, we give the numerical simulations to describe the bifurcation diagram and phase portraits of the model. The bifurcation diagram is obtained by varying the parameter of the conversion rate of predator biomass into a new super-predator which gives forward and Hopf bifurcation. The forward bifurcation occurs around the super predator extinction point while Hopf bifurcation occurs around the interior of the model. Based on the terms of existence and numerical simulation, we confirm that the conversion rate of predator biomass into a new super-predator controls the dynamics of the system and maintains the existence of predator.

Abstract

This article studies about the parameter estimation using genetic algorithm for a Lotka-Volterra prey-predator model. The secondary data consist of the density of jackrabbit as prey and coyote as predator in Southwest Presscott–Arizona are used. As results, the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) are computed to compare the results of parameter estimation and the real data. We have shown that MAPE for jackrabbit and coyote respectively given by 7.75424% and 7.95283%. This results show that the parameter estimation with genetic algorithm using Lotka-Volterra model is passably. Furthermore, some numerical simulations are portrayed to show each population density for the next 100 years.

Abstract

In order to prepare students who are able to reason at a high level as well as skilled in using technology, it is necessary to hold a training activity for teachers to design and implement HOTS-oriented learning by utilizing Edmodo as a technology-based teaching medium. The training consisted of material reinforcement (the use of Edmodo, HOTS-oriented learning, preparation of HOTS questions) and workshops (teachers were guided in creating accounts and utilizing the features available in Edmodo as well as developing HOTS-oriented learning modules). The participants were able to inform more about the HOTS after training and about 18 teachers agreed that the participants had been able to construct their learning. In addition, there was also an increase in the ability of teachers to use Edmodo as a technology-based learning media. Of the 22 questionnaires submitted, 14 participants agreed that their understanding of Edmodo had increased and more than 90% of the training participants had been able to understand HOTS-based learning. In addition, although not many participants understand the use of Edmodo, the percentage was still above 50%. In general, 90% of the training participants believe that HOTS-based learning can be applied to the Edmodo as a learning medium.

Abstract

The prey-predator model in this article reviews the interaction of two populations with a type III Holling -type III functional response and anti-predator behavior. The dynamic analysis starts by determining the basic model construction assumptions, equilibrium and stability points, and numerical simulations using Python. Dynamic analysis results obtained four equilibrium points with types of stability, namely.  which is unstable,   which is asymptotically stable  , and   . Which is stable under certain conditions. The numerical simulation results show double stability at the equilibrium points. and  with the anti-predator behavior parameter value . The anti-predator parameter value  indicates a change in stability that is only the   equilibrium point. Differences in the values of the anti-predator behavior parameters affect changes in system solutions and impact reducing predator populations.

Abstract

The predator-prey model is the mathematical model that describes the interaction behavior between prey and predator. This research discusses the modified Leslie-Gower model by considering the cannibalism behaviors of the prey that contains Holling type I response function, which is a predator with passive characteristics. The stability analysis stage includes determining the system's solution in the form of an equilibrium point, analyzing the local stability of each equilibrium using eigenvalues, and numerical simulation to synchronize the analysis results. Numerical simulations visualized in phase portraits with Python software. The results of the local stability analysis of the system obtained four equilibrium points, namely, equilibrium points  are unstable while is asymptotically stable with certain conditions. The results of numerical simulations show that only the equilibrium point  which is asymptotically stable when the environment carries capacity parameters (e=2.1). Meanwhile, when e=2.878 then, only is asymptotically stable. In this research also using two different initial values, it is concluded that whatever the initial value used, the system solution always converges to the equilibrium points  dan . Changes in environmental carrying capacity affect the dynamics of system solutions.
