Abstract

Background: Anxiety in mothers before giving birth reaches 18-70% from 5.263.057 which can have an impact on delaying surgery, increasing hospitalization days, and can cause postpartum depression.  Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of emotional freedom technique (EFT) therapy on the level of anxiety in pre-sectio caesarea mothers at BPM Bengkulu City. Method: The research design used was a quasi-experiment design with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The study sample was pregnant women aged ?35 weeks with indications of SC (displacement, fetal/pelvic disproportion, previous SC history, twins). The number of samples in this study was 34 respondents (17 respondents in each group). The sampling technique used in this research is total sampling. The instrument used is the Anxiety Assessment Scale Pregnant for women in Labour (AASPWL). Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney test with a confidence value of 0.05. Result: The results showed that after being given the EFT intervention there was a difference in the level of anxiety scores in sectio caesarea mothers with a mean difference of around 3.24 (p-value 0.000). Conclusion: The EFT intervention is a benefit for lower anxiety in mothers before delivery by SC.

Abstract

Stroke patients generally need a long recovery because most individuals undergoing hospital treatment experience disabilities in several parts of the body. Therefore, survivors need the help of other people to live daily life; this role is taken on by caregivers. Caregivers play a crucial role for stroke survivors during the process of long-term rehabilitation and must assume many responsibilities. For this reason, knowledge and skills are needed in caring for post-stroke patients at home. One of the efforts that can be done is through education and training for caregivers and health cadres. This community service activity aimed to enhance cadres’ and caregivers’ knowledge and skill in providing care for families after a stroke. The target population comprised 16 caregivers and seven cadres who supported the families. The results of the community service activities demonstrated an increase in caregivers' knowledge by 32.8 points following the training activities, with a p-value of 0.001 (<α= 0.05), indicating that the difference between the pre- and post-values is statistically significant. The results of observations of cadre and caregiver skills regarding post-stroke care at home include Range of Motion (ROM) exercises, assistance with daily activities, and training in communication in the moderate category. Cadres are expected to continue supporting families as caregivers to be able to care for post-stroke patients at home.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan silent disease atau penyakit yang tidak diketahui. Data epidemiologis menunjukkan orang dewasa berusia 18 tahun ke atas berisiko lebih tinggi terkena hipertensi. Prevalensi hipertensi di Bengkulu cukup tinggi. Data dinkes kota Bengkulu tercatat 36.404 jiwa terdiagnosa hipertensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pijat kaki dan aromaterapi lavender terhadap tekanan darah pada pasien hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sawah Besar Kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian ini sebagai penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan desain quasi experiment memakai post-test dan pre-test design with control group dengan total sampel 36 orang, terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok intervensi 18 orang serta kelompok kontrol 18 orang. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dimana responden diambil berdasarkan kriteria insklusi yang meliputi usia antara 18-50 tahun, tekanan darah sistolik ≥ 140 mmHg dan diastolik ≥ 90 mmHg. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tensimeter digital yang sudah teruji validitas diadakan dengan kalibrasi yakni memperbandingkan tekanan darah pertama serta kedua dengan memakai tensimeter omicron. Uji reliabilitas diadakan melewati pengukuran tekanan darah sejumlah 2 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Uji statistik menggunakan metode Independent T-test menunjukkan nilai p-value sebesar 0,001 (p-value ≤ α 0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh foot massage dan aromaterapi lavender terhadap tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi. Diharapkan penderita hipertensi dapat menerapkan secara mandiri intervensi yang telah diajarkan agar tekanan darah dapat terkontrol.

Abstract

Abstrak Latar Belakang: Stroke adalah penyakit yang menyebabkan gangguan neurologis yang disebabkan oleh perdarahan atau sumbatan yang terkena pada bagian otak. Salah satu komplikasi yang kemungkinan dapat timbul adalah atrofi otot pada anggota gerak, kekakuan (spastisitas), kelemahan (hemiplagia) atau kontraktur dalam posisi menekuk (fleksi) akibat istirahat di tempat tidur yang berkepanjangan. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui penerapan clay therapy menggunakan media plastisin terhadap kemampuan menggenggam pada pasien stroke. Metode: Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dalam bentuk studi kasus, subjek penelitian ini adalah satu pasien yang mengalami gangguan menggenggam dengan diagnosa stroke non-hemoragik, penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 11-18 Juni 2024 dengan teknik analisis yang disajikan secara narasi dan terstruktur maupun bentuk tabel yang berisi hasil implementasi dari terapi. Hasil: didapatkan hasil selama tujuh hari implementasi sebelum dilakukan didapatkan nilai menggenggam 7,8 kg setelah diberikan mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai 18,6 kg. Kesimpulan: implementasi clay therapy dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menggenggam pada pasien stroke yang mengalami gangguan menggenggam.   Kata kunci: Clay Therapy; Stroke Non-Hemoragik; Gangguan Menggenggam Abstract Background: Stroke is a disease that causes neurological disorders caused by bleeding or blockage affecting parts of the brain. One of the complications that may arise is stiffness (spasticity), and weakness (hemiplagia). Objective: To determine the application of clay therapy using plasticine media to the grasping ability of stroke patients. Method: This type of research is descriptive research in the form of a case study, the subject of this research is a patient who experiences grasping disorders with a diagnosis of non-hemorrhagic stroke, this research was conducted on 11-18 June 2024 with analysis techniques presented in a narrative and structured manner as well as form a table containing the results of the implementation of therapy. Results: The results obtained during the seven days of implementation before it were carried out showed that the holding value was 7.8 kg after it was given, which increased to a value of 18.6 kg. Conclusion: the implementation of clay therapy can improve grasping ability in stroke patients who experience grasping disorders. Keywords: Clay Therapy; Stroke Non-Hemoragik; grasping disorders

Abstract

Stroke sufferers need long-term recovery after hospitalization due to disability and need assistant of other people (caregiver) to help their lives. The purpose of the research is to describe the duration of care, knowledge, and attitude of the caregiver on the caring skills the stroke survivor. This type of research is descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was a caregiver who was at least 16 years old, had experience in caring, lived in a home with the affected and could read the writing, live in the Bengkulu and Siantan Hulu City. Data of knowledge, attitudes and actions is obtained through a written test with filling out a questionnaire. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was no correlation between the length of treatment and the skill of care (p value 0.579), there was a correlation between knowledge on skill (p value 0.012) and there was a correlational between attitude on skill of care stroke survivor (p value 0.023). It is hoped that the Puskesmas can improve the knowledge, attitudes and skills of caregivers in caring stroke survivors through educational programmes

Abstract

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic respiratory condition that significantly impacts patients' quality of life. This study explores the Deep Breathing Exercise technique in the context of COPD patients with ineffective breathing patterns. The aim of this analysis is to evaluate the effectiveness of deep breathing exercises in improving breathing quality and reducing breathlessness symptoms in COPD patients. The analysis method involves a case study to examine the positive effects of deep breathing exercises on lung capacity and breathing patterns in COPD patients. The study's results indicate that integrating deep breathing exercises into routine COPD management therapy can provide significant benefits in managing their symptoms. The practical implications of these findings underscore the importance of a holistic approach in designing therapeutic interventions to enhance the quality of life for patients with chronic respiratory conditions like COPD.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penyebab kematian pada pasien penderita penyakit jantung adalah 80% disebabkan karena henti jantung dengan keberhasilan penyelamatan masih rendah. Penyebab kematian umumnya karena keterlambatan pemberian pertolongan pertama kepada korban henti jantung di tempat dan teknik pemberian pertolongan yang tidak tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan dan motivasi peserta dalam melakukan BHD setelah diberikan pembelajaran melalui edukasi audio visual dan demonstrasi kelas. Penelitian ini adalah pra-eksperimen, pre and post-test without control group. Jumlah sampel 40 orang sesuai kriteria. Teknik sampling adalah purposive sampling. Analisis menggunakan Wilcoxon test, 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata keterampilan BHD sebelum dilakukan edukasi dan demonstrasi adalah 19,81 dan rerata keterampilan setelah edukasi adalah 72,50. Rerata motivasi memberikan BHD sebelum diberikan edukasi dan demonstrasi adalah 67,28 dan rerata motivasi memberikan BHD setelah diberikan edukasi adalah 75,25. Edukasi dan demonstrasi efektif meningkatkan keterampilan p-value 0,000 dan motivasi (p value 0,000).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Hasil survei didapatkan belum ada program pelatihan guru tentang pencegahan dan penanganan prilaku bullying di sekolah, tidak tersedianya SOP dalam mengatasi bullying, bimbingan konseling belum maksimal, kasus banyak tetapi tidak dilaporkan lengkap dan penanganannya belum pada pemecahan masalah Dinas pendidikan kota sudah mencanangkan “sekolah ramah anak” namun belum ada aksi nyata menjalankan program tersebut. Guru sebagai ujung tombak dalam memberikan pendidikan dan pengajaran dapat terlibat langsung mengatasi bullying. Tujuan kegiatan adalah memberdayaan guru dalam pencegahan dan penanganan perilaku bullying pada siswa sehingga tercipta sekolah ramah anak yang diikuti 30 guru dari 6 SDN dan SDIT. Metode kegiatan meliputi pelatihan dua hari dan pendampingan guru selama 8 minggu. Hasil kegiatan tersosialisasinya program kepada stakeholder dan sekolah, teridentifikasinya pengalaman bullying siswa SD, peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru, terlaksananya simulasi, terpasangnya media edukasi. Guru dapat mengaplikasikan edukasi tentang bullying kepada siswa di sekolah. Guru mampu berperan dalam pencegahan dan penanganan perilaku bullying pada siswa SD di kota Bengkulu. Kata Kunci: Bullying, Pencegahan dan Penanganan, Guru, Siswa.  ABSTRACT The survey results showed that there was no teacher training program regarding the prevention and handling of bullying behavior in schools, there were no procedures for dealing with bullying, counseling guidance was not optimal, and there were many cases but they were not reported completely. The handling of the problems had not yet been resolved. The city education department has launched "child-friendly schools" but there has been no real action to implement the program. Teachers as the spearhead in providing education and teaching can be directly involved in overcoming bullying. The activity aims to empower teachers in preventing and handling bullying behavior in students to create a "child-friendly school" attended by 30 teachers from 6 elementary schools and an Islamic school. The activity method includes two days of training and teacher assistance for 8 weeks. The program were socialized to stakeholders and schools, identified bullying experiences, increased knowledge and skills of teachers, implementation of simulations, and installation of media. Teachers can apply education about bullying to students at school. Teachers are able to play a role in preventing and addressing bullying behavior among elementary school students in the city of Bengkulu. Keywords: Bullying, Prevention and Handling, Teachers, Students

Abstract

Stroke merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang masih menjadi masalah kesehatan global. Stroke atau cerebrovascular accident dapat terjadi akibat iskemia, emboli, atau perdarahan. Dampak paling umum dari stroke adalah hemiparesis atau kelemahan pada salah satu sisi tubuh akibat menurunnya kekuatan otot, penderita stroke yang mengalami hemiparesis akan menyebabkan ketergantungan total maupun parsial dalam melakukan aktivitas hariannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari kombinasi intervensi music movement therapy dan metode bobath terhadap peningkatan kemampuan aktivitas harian pada pasien stroke. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimen menggunakan rancangan one group pre-test dan post-test. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan total 31 responden, pengumpulan data pre test dan post test menggunakan kuesioner barthel indeks untuk menilai 10 kemampuan aktivitas harian. Intervensi dilakukan selama 2 minggu, dengan frekuensi 4 kali pertemuan setiap minggu, setiap pertemuan dilakukan selama 25 menit. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai p-value 0.000 (p ≤ α  0.05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari pemberian kombinasi music movement therapy dan metode bobath terhadap peningkatan kemampuan aktivitas harian pasien stroke.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is now one of the leading causes of adult disability, with negative effects on both individuals and families. Families have a responsibility to offer nursing care (family caregivers), which includes biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of care. The family's ability to care for stroke victims at home is a major factor in determining the family's role as carers in the work environment of the Community Health Center. The initial survey found post-stroke patients with immobilization disorders, lack of good care by the family, and no structured education program for families. The research aimed to determine the impact of education program for stroke (EPSTRO) on caregiver competency, encompassing knowledge, attitudes, and abilities in caring for individuals with stroke. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental approach with pre-and post-tests. 30 family carers who had experienced a stroke served as the study's sample. Instruments for collecting data on characteristics, knowledge, attitudes, and actions of caregivers were carried out using the modified Sirait questionnaire (2018). The Wilcoxon signed rank test and dependent t-test with p = 0.05 were used to evaluate the data. Results: According to analysis using the Wilcoxon signed rank test statistic, there is a difference in the median knowledge before and after treatment (p=0.0001 0.05), as well as the median skill level (p=0.0001 0.05). There was a difference in the average attitude before and after the treatment, according to the analysis's dependent t-test findings (p=0.0001, 0.05). Conclusions: The education provided by stroke programs significantly enhances caregiver competency.
