Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the role of Field Agricultural Extension (PPL) in improving the welfare of farming communities and to determine the inhibiting factors of agricultural extension in modern times. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data are in the form of direct observation, interview results, and documentation results. Collecting data obtained from respondents. The analysis uses descriptive analysis and historical approach. The results of this study indicate that Field Agricultural Extension (PPL) plays a very important role in the socio-economic field in modern times. The inhibiting factors for agricultural extension are: lack of facilities and infrastructure, namely mobility, experimental land, agricultural extension equipment, funding, and social problems. The conclusion of this research is that Field Agricultural Extension (PPL) plays an active role even though there are still many obstacles. Keywords: Agricultural Extension, Farmer, Modern Era

Abstract

Pewarisan pengetahuan tradisional pada generasi muda baik dalam proses sosialisasi, internalisasi sangat efektif dilakukan pada anak-anak dan remaja. Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan  apa saja pengetahuan tradisional yang diwariskan oleh orang tua atau masyarakat pada umumnya pada anak atau remaja di Desa Tanjung Luar; selain itu bagaimana proses pengenalan pengetatahuan tradisional oleh orang tua dan masyarakat pada anak maritim di Desa Tanjung Luar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi yang menekankan sumber data pada hasil observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis domain, analisis taksonomi, analisis komponensial, dan analisis tema budaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengenalan pengetahuan pada anak nelayan di Desa Tanjung Luar Kabupaten Lombok timur dilakukan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Dalam pengenalan lingkungan laut misalnya, sebagian besar anak-anak nelayan memahami lingkungan laut dari interaksi mereka dengan lingkungan laut tersebut, dan dalam hal-hal yang kurang dipahami baru mereka akan bertanya atau tanpa sengaja mengetahui dari interaksinya dengan orang tua dan masyarakat; begitu juga dengan pengetahuan mengenai pembuatan teknologi seperti cara memperbaiki jaring, cara membuat pancing, cara membuat perahu dari fiber dan lain sebagainya dipelajari langsung dengan bertanya dan secara tidak sengaja karena faktor lingkungan; sedangkan dalam pengenalan pengetahuan ekologi lebih banyak diwariskan dengan cara sosialisasi oleh orang tua maupun masyarakat. Berangkat dari hasil penelitian tersebut ditemukan bahwa pola pewarisan pengetahuan pada anak maritim di Desa Tanjung Luar terjadi baik melalui proses sosialisasi, internalisasi, dan sosialisasi oleh orang tua, masyarakat dan kesadaran anak dengan lingkungannya.   Kata Kunci: Reproduksi Pengetahuan, Anak-Anak, Maritim

Abstract

This study aims to determine the background, development, and existence of WetuTelu Islam in Bengkaung Hamlet, Danger Village, Masbagik District, East Lombok Regency. The research method using historical research is based on four activity steps: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The data sources used are written, spoken and artifact data sources. The results of the study show that the background to the emergence of Wetu Telu Islam is the existence of traditional social life which is still reflected in the Wetu Telu Islamic community in the region, where it is quite difficult to accept new things with modern identities even though this community is already under pressure and almost marginalized. The development of WetuTelu Islam in the region is only 2% which still survives, because many others have been enlightened to Islam which is Kaffah. The existence of WetuTelu Islam in modern times has begun to erode because many da'wah studies have been carried out by religious leaders, Kyai and Tuan Guru who teach Islam according to the guidance of the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. The conclusion of this paper is that the emergence of WetuTelu Islam was motivated by a tradition that is still strong. The development of WetuTelu Islam is almost extinct, and the existence of Islam has begun to have a few adherents. Keywords: Islam, Wetu Telu

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the existence of history, educational value, and semiotic meaning of Lawas Unru by Lalu Manca. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The results of the study, namely the existence of history and educational values in Lawas Unru are: 1) The contents and message events in Lawas Unru contain resistance and contain messages to always hold on to honesty and trust, because in the end fate will show the truth. 2) The description of the contents of Lawas Unru explains the intended message so that the reader can empathize, 3) The choice of words contains educational values, namely wisdom, honesty, empathy, courage, and humility. The conclusion of the research is that the existence of Lawas Unru still maintains the use of words used in the imperial environment. while its educational value is to help readers gain knowledge and understand the world better, also being able to develop analysis and empathy in life. The real meaning in Lawas Unru is a picture of injustice, resulting in oppression which eventually gave birth to a resistance from the Sumbawa kingdom against the Dutch colonizers. Abstract

This study aims to examine Maulanasyaikh's daily speech acts, including when giving recitations, interacting with the community, and family, in politics and government, and other speech acts that have character values for the younger generation. In addition, this study also aims to understand the values contained in Maulanasyaikh's speech acts. This research was conducted in the village of Pancor Bermi Village, Selong District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, four months from March to June 2022. Using a qualitative approach with the historical method, this research focuses on the value of speech acts of TGKH Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid (Maulanasyaikh). This approach allows data collection from in-depth written or oral words. The historical method involves the steps of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of this study reveal Maulanasyaikh's speech acts in various contexts, including interacting with students, in the social sphere, towards the congregation, in politics, and towards his family. Maulanasyaikh demonstrated politeness, caring, and teaching moral and ethical values in his communication and actions in various aspects of his life.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students' learning outcomes and engagement in Social Studies through the implementation of the Team Quiz (TQ) method in the topic of New Order Government. The research method employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observations, learning outcome tests, and reflections on the learning process. The findings indicate that the implementation of Team Quiz positively impacts students' participation and comprehension. In Cycle I, the students' mastery level reached 61% with an average score of 74, while in Cycle II, it increased to 91% with an average score of 85. This improvement is attributed to greater student participation in group discussions, more active interaction, and the competitive nature of the quiz, which enhanced learning motivation. Additionally, this model created a more dynamic and engaging learning environment. Despite its effectiveness, several challenges were encountered, such as the dominance of higher-achieving students in group discussions and limited discussion time. Therefore, teachers need to ensure an equitable distribution of roles within groups and provide more intensive guidance. Based on the study's findings, the Team Quiz method is recommended as an innovative teaching strategy to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Furthermore, it can be adapted to other subjects to foster a more interactive and effective learning environment.

Abstract

Critical and creative thinking skills are competencies needed in the 21st century. Therefore, a learning model is needed that can improve both competencies, namely the local history-based project-based learning (PjBL) model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the local history-based Project-based Learning (PjBL) model in improving students' critical and creative thinking skills in history learning. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study was conducted in class X with a sample of 170 people. Data collection used observation using an assessment rubric for students' critical and creative thinking skills, while data analysis used Manova with the help of SPSS 25.0. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of the group that learned using the local history-based PjBL model were better than the group that learned using the conventional model (mean PjBL group = 71; mean conventional group = 60). Likewise, the creative thinking skills of students in the local history-based PjBL group were better than students who learned using the conventional model (mean PjBL group = 81; mean conventional group = 59). This result is reinforced by the results of the Manova test where the F value for Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, and Roy's Largest Root is 2466.745 with significance (Sig.) = 0.000 <0.05. Likewise with the Tests of Between-Subjects Effects for critical thinking (F = 1222.236; p <0.001) and creative thinking (F = 4483.554; p <0.001) which means that the integrated PjBL model of Local History is effective in improving students' critical thinking and creative thinking skills both simultaneously and partially.

Abstract

Pembelajaran konvensional dianggap sudah tidak relevan lagi dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Selama ini masih banyak ditemukan guru menggunakan metode yang kurang tepat seperti model pembelajaran konvensional, pembelajaran didominasi oleh guru. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan cenderung monoton dan berpusat pada guru seperti penggunaan metode ceramah dan mencatat yang tentunya tidak bisa melibatkan siswa secara utuh sehingga menyebabkan pembelajaran menjadi membosankan. Kondisi tersebut dapat membuat peserta didik menjadi pasif dan proses belajar yang diharapkan tidak akan terjadi. Ketika proses belajar tidak terjadi, maka tidak akan didapatkan hasil pembelajaran seperti yang diharapkan. Untuk itu, diperlukan suatu metode yang memberikan ruang bagi siswa untuk dapat mengkonstruksi makna peristiwa sejarah yang dipelajarinya untuk kemudian dapat dihubungkan dengan kehidupannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model pembelajaran kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah Kelas X MA NW Lenek Lauq. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan menggunakan True Eksperimental Design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MA NW Lenek Lauq. 30 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen, 30 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling dan instrument yang digunakan dalam bentuk test pilihan ganda. Uji persyaratan analisis dilakukan dengan uji normalitas data dengan Chi-kuadrat dan uji homogenitas data dengan uji Bartlet, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik inferensial parametrik uji t-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen 78,1 dan kelompok kontrol 61,1. Kemudian dari hasil hipotesis diperoleh thitung ˃ ttabel yaitu 14,049˃2,002, sehingga kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu model pembelajaran kontekstual berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar sejarah siswa kelas X MA NW Lenek Lauq tahun pelajaran 2018/2019.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the importance of media in the history of learning that not only uses digital in accordance with current developments with era 4.0, but also how a teacher is able to bridge the past by presenting artifacts, relics, images, even miniatures of the past for easier understood. The existence of a laboratory or museum in this case can be a direct bridge to connect what they have learned with their empirical reality in the past. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method with several methods of data collection ranging from interviews, observations, document studies and documentation. The results showed that students involved as totor who were assigned to explain each period with some media available at the Hamzanwadi University history education laboratory showed many developments starting from the ability to understand the historical context at a certain period and their ability to explain to the public or students who normally visit the laboratory. One interesting approach that Hamzanwadi University's history education program has tried to develop in recent years is to make students as tutors to explain to students who visit the history education laboratory. Students who are assigned are randomized every semester in turn, so that each of them truly understands each historical object as assigned.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the arrival of Javanese communities in East Lombok on local education and traditions. The research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews and observations. Findings indicate that the migration of Javanese communities has brought significant changes in the social and cultural structure of East Lombok. In the context of education, their arrival has influenced the local education system both positively and negatively. Although there has been acculturation between Javanese and local cultures, some aspects of local traditions remain preserved. However, efforts are needed to maintain and develop education that reflects the original cultural identity of East Lombok while still accepting and appreciating cultural diversity.
