Abstract

Organisasi sosial PSMTI merupakan salah satu organisasi etnis Tionghoa yang berada di Pekanbaru, dimana organisasi ini mewadahi pendapat dan aspirasi-aspirasi dari etnis Tionghoa. Organisasi sosial PSMTI di Pekanbaru berdiri pada tahun 2003. Dalam penelitian ini membahas mengenai: (1) awal mula dan latar belakang berdirinya PSMTI di Pekanbaru; (2) peranan PSMTI dalam bidang sosial, budaya, dan pendidikan; (3) tanggapan masyarakat sekitar dengan adanya organisasi PSMTI . pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode sejarah, yang dimana metode sejarah memiliki 4 tahap, yaitu: (1) Heuristik; (2) Kritik sumber; (3) Interpretasi; (4) Historiografi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan faktor pendorong orang Tionghoa datang ke Indonesia yang pertama adalah alasan ekonomi, dimana cina pada akhir abad ke-19 mengalami masalah ledakan penduduk, dan pertengahan abad ke-19 munculnya permasalahan yang mempengaruhi melonjaknya angka kemiskinan, kerusuhan dan keresahan sosial, diperburuk lagi oleh sistem kekaisaran cina yang hampir hancur, faktor pendorong yang kedua yaitu alasan politik.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki begitu banyak keberagaman, baik itu keberagaman pada suku, bahasa daerah juga kebudayaan dan adat istiadat tempatan, salah satu kebudayaan yang ada adalah budaya dalam berpakaian. Baju kurung labuh adalah baju kurung khas Riau yang dipakai kaum perempuan Melayu, memiliki arti mengurung yang memakainya, baik mengurung dalam Adat juga dalam Syariat, baju kurung ini biasanya dipakai pada upacara adat, acara resmi, juga pakaian harian. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu 1) Untuk mengetahui bentuk, warna, dan motif Baju Kurung Labuh Khas Riau, 2) Untuk mengetahui nilai, makna dan filosofi dalam bentuk, warna, dan motif Baju Kurung Labuh, 3) Untuk mengetahui peran pemerintah dalam melestarikan Baju Kurung Melayu khas Riau. Pada penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode Kualitatif. Baju Kurung Labuh adalah pakaian Melayu yang khususnya dipakai oleh kaum perempuan, baju kurung labuh ini sudah ada pada zaman kerajaan-kerajaan yang ada di Riau, salah satunya adalah kerajaan Siak Sri Indrapura, pada masa kerajaan baju kurung labuh ini dikenakan oleh istri raja serta anggota keluarga kerajaan, bahkan bisa dipakai oleh masyarakat luas akan tetapi penggunaan warna dan aksesoris seperti tanjak dan kain pada pakaian disesuaikan dengan aturan adat yang ada. Baju kurung labuh ini juga terkandung makna dalam bentuk pakaiannya, yakni makna mengurung orang yang memakainya agar terhindar dari aib dan malu, juga dari fitnah dan malapetaka.

Abstract

The name Pekanbaru was formerly known as Senapelan. The development of Senapelan is very close to the Kingdom of Siak Sri Indrapura. The Siak Kingdom is a religious kingdom which is a continuation of the Johor Kingdom which was split into two regions, one of which is the Siak Kingdom which was founded by Sultan Jalil Rachmad Syah who is known as Raja Kecik. The existence of Pekanbaru City (the capital of Riau Province) cannot be separated from the role of Sultan Muhammad Ali Abdul Jalil Muazzamsyah who holds the title of Marhum Pekan in establishing this city. From a simple village (Kebatinan Senapelan) to become the capital of the Kingdom of Siak and is now a Metropolitan city. During Sultan Muhammad Ali leading the Kingdom of Siak, he built Negeri Senapelan and gave the city a new name Pekanbaru. To find out the background of Sultan Muhammad Ali Muazzamsyah's life and to know the role of Sultan Muhammad Ali Muazzamsyah in establishing Pekanbaru, making Senapelan a trading center. This research is research that seeks to reconstruct the Role of Sultan Muhammad Ali Muazzamsyah in Establishing the City of Pekanbaru (1765-1779) considering that events occurred in the past, the method used is the historical method with steps namely Heuristics, Verification, Interpretation and historiography. The result of this research is to reconstruct the role of Sultan Muhammad Ali Muazzamsyah in order to make Senapelan a trading center.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the events behind the change of name of Indonesia's exclusive economic zone in the South China Sea to the North Natuna Sea and its impact from a historical perspective. This research uses the historical method with Miles and Huberman analysis techniques. The results of this study reveal that China made claims to the SCS based on historical claims prior to the 1982 UNCLOS which were unilateral in nature and caused conflicts and violations of Indonesia's sovereign rights in the SCS, causing Indonesia to react by changing the name of the EEZ in the SCS to the North Natuna Sea in 2017.

Abstract

Faktor-faktor kesulitan belajar merupakan faktor penyebab yang menghambatnya proses pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sehingga dapat mengetahui faktor internal dan faktor eksternal serta faktor yang paling dominan menyebabkan kesulitan belajar sejarah siswa Kelas X di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif  melalui survei menggunakan kuesioner faktor-faktor kesulitan belajar sejarah.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah menjadi faktor internal tertinggi yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar siswa dengan persentase sebesar74,0%. Selanjutnya, lingkungan sekolah menjadi faktor eksternal tertinggi yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar sejarah siswa dengan persentase sebesar71,8%. Penelitian juga menunjukkan faktor internal dan faktor eksternal secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar sejarah siswa sebesar 71,2%. Berdasarkan hasil ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor internal dengan indikator minat siswa merupakan faktor paling dominan menyebabkan kesulitan belajar sejarah siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how well high school students' reading comprehension and ability to analyse historical materials are improved by the Muara Takus Temple local history e-module. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-post-test control group was the study methodology employed. Students from SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang made up the 56-person sample for the study. The experimental group, which utilized the e-module, and the control group, which did not use the e-module, were the two groups formed from the research sample. Both a pre-test and a post-test were used to gather data. Data analysis using the t-test revealed that, in comparison to the control group, the experimental group significantly improved its capacity for evaluating historical materials (p-value = 0.001 <0.05). Thus, it was determined that the utilization of Candi Muara Takus' local history e-module had a substantial impact on students at SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang's ability to read and analyse historical texts. The study's conclusion is that the local history e-module has the potential to help students become more proficient readers and analysts of historical materials. This demonstrates the necessity of integrating technology into history instruction to improve students' analytical abilities and get them ready to comprehend history more fully.

Abstract

As juvenile delinquency rates rise in Indonesia, addressing the underlying moral degradation among adolescents becomes crucial. This study investigates the integration of Tanjak Melayu's local wisdom with Value Clarification Technique (VCT) in history education as a strategy for moral character enhancement in students. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, data was collected through observation, interviews, document reviews, and validity tests, with data analysis performed via triangulation. The study identifies key values of Tanjak Melayu—dignity, politeness, and attractiveness—that can be effectively incorporated into history lessons using VCT. This integration shows a positive impact on student's moral character, providing not only knowledge but also facilitating practical learning tasks. The incorporation of Tanjak Melayu values into educational settings via VCT not only preserves cultural heritage but also actively promotes moral virtues among students. The findings suggest that VCT can be a dynamic tool in moral education, enhancing student engagement and ethical development. This study underscores the potential of culturally integrated education technologies in addressing adolescent behavioral issues. By embedding local cultural values into the curriculum, educational institutions can play a pivotal role in shaping the moral landscape of the next generation. This approach offers a scalable model for similar interventions across diverse educational contexts, aiming to curb juvenile delinquency through enhanced character education. The successful integration of Tanjak Melayu values into history education via VCT demonstrates a viable path towards improving the moral character of students, suggesting that similar cultural and technological adaptations in educational curricula could be beneficial on a broader scale.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji  dinamika sosial ekonomi masyarakat di sepanjang saluran irigasi Bendungan Sungai Paku pada tahun 1980 hingga 2019. Permasalahan yang diteliti dalam artikel ini menyangkut kondisi wilayah Desa Sungai Pak dan proses pembangunan sebelum dibangunnya Bendungan Sungai Paku. Bendungan Sungai Paku dan dampaknya terhadap aspek sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat di sepanjang saluran irigasi bendungan. Penulis mengkajinya dengan pendekatan sosiologi lingkungan dan menggunakan metode sejarah  Louis Gottschalk. Metode tersebut meliputi heuristik, validasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Daerah dimana dibangunnya Bendungan Sungai Paku adalah daerah aliran Sungai Pio. Dampak yang ditimbulkan dengan hadirnya bendungan ini bisa bersifat positif maupun negatif. Dampak lingkungan yang ditimbulkan dari keberadaan Bendungan Sungai Paku antara lain pengendalian banjir, budidaya ikan air tawar, pengairan sawah, peningkatan produktivitas pertanian, dan efisiensi penggunaan pembangkit listrik tenaga air.

Abstract

The purpose of this service initiative is to enhance the knowledge and proficiency of High School and Equivalent Teachers in the Indragiri Hulu Regency. This is achieved through a Training Program focused on Developing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Questions for History Learning Materials at the High School and Equivalent Levels in Indragiri Hulu Regency. The instructional methods employed encompass lectures, question and answer sessions, trials/simulations, and workshops. The training outcomes indicate the successful realization of the objectives. This is evidenced by the enthusiastic participation of the training attendees during discussions and the positive results of assignments given by the presenters. These outcomes demonstrate an observable improvement in teachers' understanding and capacity to incorporate HOTS into learning outcomes questions.

Abstract

SMAN 1 Kabun is one of the high schools in Kabun sub-district, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. At SMAN 1 Kabun, there are several students who still encounter problems in the learning process in the field, one of which is that when studying history, students listen more to explanations from teachers or educators. The learning resources used are printed books or packages and the use of learning media is less varied, during the learning process the teaching media used are books and projectors. So that students don't get bored quickly in learning and to improve students' historical thinking skills, researchers took the initiative to create a historical media calendar to improve students' thinking skills at SMA Negeri 1 Kabun. The research was carried out with the aim of developing the enthusiasm of students at SMAN 1 Kabun towards the subject. history by developing historical calendar learning media and conducting historical calendar feasibility tests for history learning at SMAN 1 Kabun, and seeing students' responses regarding historical calendar learning media. The research method used is the ADDIE development model. Based on research conducted, the historical calendar learning media was declared suitable for use in the teaching and learning process after analysis was carried out by material experts, media and students. The results of the validation of historical calendar learning media on World War I and II material by material experts obtained a total of 53 assessments while the percentage obtained was 96% in the very appropriate category, media experts with a total of 62 assessments while the percentage obtained was 88% in the very appropriate category, and the results of student respondents before using the media, the assessment given was 911 while the percentage obtained was 52% in the Fairly Good category. The results of student respondents learning using historical calendar media included a total of 1577 assessments, while the percentage obtained was 90% in the very good category. This research still experiences research limitations, where the research produced is still at a beginner level, so the researcher hopes that there will be research that can develop this historical calendar learning media so that it can be applied to other schools.
