Abstract

This service activity aims to improve understanding and practice writing skills and submit scientific articles to national journals for high school teachers and equivalent in Tanah Putih sub-district, Rokan Hilir Regency. This activity was carried out using workshop method and continued with online guidance. In the field workshop, material was presented on the definition of scientific articles and journals, why teachers are required to have the ability to research and write articles, write scientific articles and training in submitting scientific articles to online journals. The results of the training showed an increase in the ability of participants to understand the procedures for writing scientific articles and the procedure for submitting articles to national journals. The core achievement can be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants who were very good during the training and there were articles from participants who had succeeded in being submitted to reputable National Journals.

Abstract

This service program aims to help the Pangkalan Batang Village community, the Women Farmers Group (KWT), and Dasa Wisma hamlet manufacture by creating and using an organic liquid fertilizer that can be used on plants. Pangkalan Batang Village has excellent potential in farming; the surrounding community has sufficient land to be used as agricultural land. This program demonstrated that partners understood how to make and apply liquid organic fertilizer. This service program had succeeded in increasing knowledge for the community, the Women Farmers Group (KWT), and Dasa Wisma in creating and applying the liquid organic fertilizer. Some also continue to make organic fertilizers that will be used in plants without using chemical-based organic fertilizers.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that teachers in learning still use conventional methods and only focus on the teacher so that students are less active, less interesting, and boring for students and they do not have strong motivation to learn. The aims of this research are; to determine the effect of using the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) approach on students' learning motivation in class IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Kuantan Mudik. This research uses quantitative methods with the type of Quasi-Experimental Design research or quasi-experiment with product moments. The results of this research show that there is an influence of using the VCT approach on student learning motivation where sig (2-tailed) is 0.00 < 0.05, meaning that Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected. The large influence of using the VCT approach on student learning motivation can be seen from the average questionnaire score in the control class with a pretest score of 69.42 and a post-test of 75.42, while for the experimental class, the pretest score was 68.96 and the post-test increased to 80.69.

Abstract

This study discusses how students' learning outcomes can improve using the quizizz application. This study uses a research method based on the Kemmis Teggard model, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of the study is that the quzizz application is used to increase students' final results. The quizizz application is an educational game that contains questions with various colors and images that support visually, making learners interested in developing themselves cognitively while playing. This study contains two cycles, where in the first cycle the learners who completed 41% and increased in the second cycle by 62%. For the number of learners who have completed the first cycle as many as 13 learners, and increased in the second cycle as many as 20 learners.
