Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research was conducted in July-August 2018 in the village of Insit, Tebing Tinggi Barat District, Meranti Islands, Riau Province. The objectives of this research are (1) to know the technical analysis of the operation of wave fishing gear, (2) to find out the feasibility of a wave fishery business. The method used in this study is a direct survey method by making observations to the field by looking at fishing activities using wave fishing devices. Data collection was carried out by going directly to the field by making arrests and interviewing the fishermen on the wave.Gombang capture technology influenced several factors that is tidal factor, current velocity, water depth and weather. The results of the business feasibility analysis calculations indicate that fisheries gombang provide benefits to fishermen and deserves to be developed because of the value of BCR (Benefit Cost Ratio) is obtained at 1.8, FRR (Financial Rate of Return) is 34%. and PPC (Payback Period of Capital) is 2 years and 9 month and 15 days. Keywords :Gombang, Technology, Business Feasibility, Desa Insit

Abstract

ABSTRAK This research was conducted based on the tidal conditions that originated in the tidal tides of the Indonesian archipelago which were divided based on the highest tide conditions, average tide and lowest tide. In the village of Sialang Pasung, regency Meranti Islands. This study discusses the types of catches, studies and evaluates the main catch and by-catches of fishing gear based on differences of time. The method used in this study is the survey method, which is by fishing experiment in this researchlocation and making observations on two unit stow net (A and B)which operate in two methode namely four times hauling and two times hauling. The main catches of stow net A and B during the study were pepay(Mysis relicta) shrimp and Anchovy fish(Stolephorus indicus). While the by-catch are Mackerel fish(Cybium commersoni), Common hairtail(Trichiurus lepturus), Elongated llisha(Ilisha elongata), Bombay duck(Horpodon neherus), Dorab wolf-herring dorab(Chirocentrus dorab),Mullet(Valamugil engeli),Gangetic anchovy(Tryssa mystax), Spotted scat(Scatophagus argus),Vanname(Litopenaeus vannamei), Red prawn(Paneus monodon), Alphases shrimp(Alphases sp), Padachirus(Pardachirus pavonicus), White pomfret(Pampus argentus), Sagor catfish(Hexanematichthys sagor), and Squid(Loligo sp). The percentage main catches and by catches based on weight on stow net A and B is main catches is 45% and by catches is 55% based on individuals (tails) 94% main catches and 6% by catches.Keyword: Stow net, main catch, by-catches

Abstract

ABSTRACT Sanitation is very important in the environment because it can affect health. The study was conducted during Maret 2019. This study was intended to formulate the actual sanitation conditions at Dumai Fish LandingBase. This study used a method of survey. The results of the research weretabulated into table form and analyzed descriptivelybased on scoring by respondents. The scoring were arrangeaccording to criteria that were determined onthat refer to national standards (52A/Kepmen-Kp/2013 and Agriculture Department).Based on the results of the research on sanitation conditions at Dumai Fish Landing Base wasquite good. Sanitation conditions is 1,7 with the range 1,50 – 1,99. The main cause of impurities atDumai Fish Landing Basewere food vendor around the port, buyers who littering, too many visitors at the port lack awareness to maintaining cleanliness, lack of availability of trash bins at the port and fish auction activities. Keywords : Sanitation, Dumai Fish Landing Base, Cleanliness

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This research was conducted in August in the Selat Akar Village, Tasik Putripuyu District, Island Meranti Regency, Riau Province. This study aims to analysis the technical and financial analysis of the business valuation or push net fishing gear business towards fishing that is applied by fishermen in terms of responsible fisheries criteria. The method used in this study is a survey method which is done by direct observation to the field and interviews with fishermen, equipped with technical and financial aspects related to this research. The data obtained is processed with technical analysis, environmental friendliness analysis and financial analysis. Push net fishing gear is different from push net fishing gear in general because this fishing gear is operated on the surface with a depth of ± 1 m, while the catch is anchovy (Stolephorus sp). This fishing gear has been weighted using 5 FAO criteria which show that this fishing gear is very environmentally friendly. This fishing gear is also feasible to proceed because the catches obtained more than operational costs in one year with a profit (Rp.53.488.334), so that capital returns are also quickly carried out. Keywords : Push net, Stolephorus sp, Environmentally friendly

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted in April 2019 in Sungai Raya waters, Meral District, Karimun Regency Riau Island Province. The purpose of this research is to find out the types and the number of target fish catches and bycatch on the bottom gillnet. The method used is a survey method which is then analyzed descriptively and using a shortening calculation. The catch during the study was 390,4 kg or 93 tails. The total catch of the bottom gillnet during the study that the target fish, namely the kurau fish, were obtained as the main catch based on the weight of 79,8% and the remainder as a bycatch of 20,2%. While based on the individual obtained as the main catch of 60,2% and remainder as a bycatch of 39,8%. In this study the shortening value of the fishing gear operated was 40%, then the fish is caught gilled. During the study the temperature ranges between 30-310C, the current velocity ranged from 1,3-1,7 mil/jam, and water depths range between 9,1-36 meter. Keywords: Bottom Gillnet, Composition Catch Fish, Sungai Raya Waters

Abstract

Abstrack      This research was conducted on Ocober 2019 at Singkarak Lake, West Sumatera. The purpose of this research was to identify construction, operation method, catch and environmental friendliness of gillnet.  The results of research showed the construction of gillnet has 100 meters length and 6 meters depth. Gillnet construction consist as webbing, upper main line, under main line, float line, float, buoy, sinker I and sinker II. Operation of fishing gear begin with preparation, operating and handling the catch. The main catch of gillnet is bilih and by catch is kapiek. Based on result of interview conducted on 16 respondents using a weighting of 9 criteria of  environmentaly friendly fishing gear according to FAO (1995). Gillnet is very environmental friendly fishing gear with score 32,0625. The result showed that there overfishing indications of bilih fish, consisting of decreased production and decreased oin catch size. Keywords: Construction, Environmental Friendly, Gillnet

Abstract

This research was conducted in October 2013 in Pematang Sei Baru village of Tanjung Balai Asahan sub regency Asahan Regency in North Sumatera Province. This study aims to determine the level of environmental friendly sembilang gillnet using Fish Aggregating Device (Tuasan) or FAD and economical feasibility of this environmentally friendly technologies. The method used in this study is a survey method with direct observation both interviews and discussions with fisherman. Observation by using FAO (1995) criteria shows that this fishing gear in combination with FAD could be classified into environmentally friendly fishing gear. The results of the feasibility analysis calculations indicate that this gillnet bussiness proved provide benefits for fishermen and deserves to be developed because of the value of BCR (Benefit Cost Ratio) retrieved of 3.07; FRR (Financial Rate of Return) is 181.91% and PPC (Payback Period of Capital) is only 6 months and 18 days.
