Abstract

The role and function of interdisciplinary care providers in health services is still fragmented so that interdisciplinary health services provided to patients become overlapping. Interdisciplinary fragmentation can be overcomed through Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (ICP). Good collaboration between the team of health professionals is needed, in order to exchange information clearly and comprehensively. The core competency in Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (ICP) is effective interprofessional communication. The purpose of this systematic review is to find out whether ICP can improve the ability of health workers to carry out interprofessional communication. The method used by Systematic review was by searching literature databases from Ebscho, Sciendirect, PubMed and Google scholar by using advanced search keywords. The keywords chosen were Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (ICP), Interprofessional Communication, health workers. The searching was limited in 2006 - 2016, full text pdf and English. The inclusion criteria from the article was the health workers as the respondents, intervention with Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (ICP), the outcome measured was interprofessional communication skills of health workers. There were 6 articles that correspond to the inclusion criteria. Those 6 articles were reviewed. Results: each article gives an outcome to the improvement of interprofessional communication and 2 articles produce 3 themes. ICP can effectively improve the ability of health workers to carry out interprofessional communication. It is expected that the head of the hospital can make a special policy related to the implementation of ICP and design a model for ICP involving all health professions so that it can be applied in health services as an effort to develop effective interprofessional communication and improve the quality of health services so that the professional role of each discipline runs well.

Abstract

Interprofessional collaboration will be realized if two or more people from different professions interact to produce a shared understanding that would not have been possible if those professions worked independently. How each profession views the meaning of collaboration must be understood by both parties so that the same perception can be obtained. The application of collaboration between professions is currently limited to traditional or multiprofessional collaboration models. A high level of knowledge is needed by the nursing profession to be able to provide nursing services independently and collaborate with other health workers. This level of education and knowledge gap will hinder the effective communication process among health professionals. Continuous nursing education can be used as a strategy to eliminate the knowledge and education gaps between professions so that it will improve the effective communication process among health professionals. Collaboration is a complex process that requires special attention accompanied by high knowledge in exchanging ideas in discussing patients. Nurses who always try to improve their knowledge and skills to achieve their desired career will have an impact on their ability to exchange ideas (communicate) with other professions or collaborate with other professions. Continuous nursing education and career planning are two strategies that can increase nurses’ knowledge and skills to improve nurses' confidence in exchanging ideas with other professions.

Abstract

A handover is an application form for improving effective communication which is part of the patient safety goal. Ineffective handover has been shown to increase the risk of preventable side effects, length of stay and rates of complications. High patient mobilization, a lot of time taken, and increased workload are reasons why nurses do not have time for handover. While the ER Nurses are also required to develop, improve their knowledge and skills to improve quality services in line with the technological development of the era industrial revolution 4.0. The objective of this review to identify efforts for improving quality of handover in Emergency Departement in accordance with the development of the industrial revolution era 4.0. This review source search through CINAHL Ebsco, Science Direct, and pubmed from 2010 to 2019, in English, and full text. Searching keywords are Improvemenr, Quality Handover, Technology, and Emergency Department. From this literature review, it was found that efforts to improve quality of handover in the emergency departement included the establishment of appropriate communication / protocol tools / frameworks, developing multi-disciplinary teams, recognizing the influence of culture and implementing training. These efforts cannot be separated, all are interrelated to realize quality handover. Facing the digital revolution 4.0 based on Cyber Physical Systems in the health sector, improving quality handover may use electronic communication framework. Materials handover is using patient data in the medical record (RM) or electronic medical record (ERM). Electronic Handover tool aswer the challenges for facing the digital revolution 4.0. Efforts to improve the quality of handover in the emergency department are established effective communication tools / frameworks, Multidicipline Team meetings, training / coaching and recognizing cultural influences.

Abstract

Perawat sebagai petugas yang langsung memberikan pelayanan kepada pasien, diharapkan mampu mengembangkan dan memelihara prosedur pemberian obat yang aman guna memberikan pelayanan dan proteksi terbaik bagi pasien. Tujuan studi literatur ini yaitu mengidentifikasi faktor yang meningkatkan kepatuhan perawat dalam penerapan prinsip enam benar pemberian obat. Metode penulisan yang digunakan yaitu Systematic Literatur Review untuk menelusuri berbagai faktor yang meningkatkan kepatuhan perawat dalam pemberian obat. Data yang diambil adalah artikel seputar enam benar prinsip pemberian obat dan faktor yang meningkatkan kepatuhan perawat. Literatur dari sumber terpercaya dalam Bahasa Inggris dan Indonesia dengan rentang penerbitan 2004-2019. Data yang terkumpul dilakukan critical appraisal tool sesuai dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai menjadi 9. Hasil review menunjukan terdapat beberapa faktor terkait kepatuhan perawat dalam pemberian obat yaitu pengetahuan dan sikap yang baik, adanya SOP dan kebijakan, beban kerja yang tidak terlalu berlebihan serta perawat yang bekerja sudah lama. Kesimpulan studi literatur ini yaitu faktor yang dapat meningkatkan kepatuhan perawat dalam penerapan prinsip enam benar pemberian obat adalah tingkat pengetahuan, sikap, ketersediaan SOP, beban kerja dan lama kerja perawat.

Abstract

Evidence-Based Nursing Practice  (EBNP) adalah  pendekatan  sistematis  untuk  meningkatkan  kualitas  praktik keperawatan  dengan  mengumpulkan  bukti  terbaik dalam pengambilan keputusan praktik yang telah menjadi tuntutan pada tatanan rumah sakit. Pada kenyataanya masih banyak kendala dalam penerapan EBNP, misalnya: kurangnya pengetahuan, terbatasnya waktu, dan terbatasnya sarana dan prasarana. Perkembangan teknologi memberikan alternatif pemecahan masalah tersebut agar EBNP lebih masif penggunaannya. Studi ini merupakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan 3 langkah yang dimulai dengan need assessment berupa wawancara dengan 9 perawat klinik; wawancara dengan ekspert dalam bidang Teknologi Informasi; dan pengembangan aplikasi online dengan mengadaptasi tujuh (7) langkah penerapan EBNP. Penggunaan teknologi untuk mengembangkan aplikasi dalam penerapan EBNP bersama tim IT tentang catatan digital dan masukan dari expert tentang metode input (voice to text), maka tercipta sebuah aplikasi berbasis Dynamic Website bersifat personal dengan nama online START EBP. Fitur aplikasi yang dimiliki meliputi menu registrasi, menu profile, menu tujuh langkah pencarian bukti (searching journals, appraisal, share link review expert dan partisipan, monitoring dan evaluasi), resume pdf, link media Jurnal club. Aplikasi Online START ringan dan dapat digunakan diberbagai platform digital dengan setiap tahapan EBNP yang tersimpan dengan baik kedalam database. Penggunaan aplikasi Online START EBP dapat menjadi alternatif modern dalam upaya promosi EBNP bagi perawat klinik.
