Abstract

Khadijah bint Khuwailiid (556–619 CE), a prominent Quraysh woman, was an extraordinary figure in Islamic history, renowned for her exceptional leadership. Born into a wealthy, charitable family that upheld high moral values, she inherited and led her family's business following her father's death. Khadijah managed international trade with integrity and fairness, demonstrating her leadership not only in business but also in her role as the wife of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). As the Prophet’s foremost supporter during the early propagation of Islam, Khadijah provided unwavering moral, spiritual, and material support. She was the first person to embrace Islam, encouraging the Prophet during the initial challenges of his mission. Her humility, courage, and wisdom made her a role model for Muslim women. Khadijah's leadership legacy remains relevant today, inspiring values of courage, independence, and dedication. She played a pivotal role in the development of Islam and set an example of how women can lead in various spheres of life. Her passing in the tenth year of prophethood left a profound impact, solidifying her role as "Ummul Mu'minin" (Mother of the Believers) and a cornerstone in establishing the foundations of Islamic civilization.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically analyze the evolution of quality management paradigms and investigate their integration potential within Islamic educational institutions. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology following PRISMA guidelines, the researchers examined 18 high-quality articles from Scopus-indexed journals. The findings reveal that traditional quality theories remain relevant but require thoughtful adaptation in the digital era. Three main themes emerged: the evolution and potential tensions between quality management theories, the transformative and empowering role of statistical process control in educational assessment, and the impact of Industry 4.0 technologies on quality assurance in Islamic education contexts. The researchers propose an "Islamic Education Quality 4.0" framework that integrates technological advancements with Islamic educational principles, balancing data-driven decision-making with ethical considerations rooted in Maqasid Syariah. This research contributes to the theoretical understanding and practical implementation of integrated quality management approaches in Islamic educational institutions, emphasizing the need for contextually appropriate quality models that enhance operational excellence while preserving core spiritual values.

Abstract

The quality of education is the main indicator in achieving national education goals, including in the madrasah environment. This article aims to analyze the managerial strategies of madrasah principals in carrying out managerial functions (planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising) to improve the quality of education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Haq Kasongan, Central Kalimantan. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observations. The results of the study indicate that the madrasah principal carries out managerial functions in a participatory manner by involving all teachers in planning, dividing tasks according to individual capacity, and implementing programs through increasing curriculum understanding, teacher skills, and strengthening supervision. Supervision is carried out periodically by emphasizing learning evaluation and coaching-based follow-up. The committee and parents are also involved through partnerships built on trust and communication. The novelty of this article lies in the identification of value-based management practices that integrate spiritual, participatory, and adaptive approaches as a response to resource limitations. This approach shows that in the context of madrasas, the strength of collegial culture and institutional spirituality can be key factors in improving the quality of education in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

In the face of educational digitalization, the transformation of management based on technology became a major challenge for school principals and teachers, with differences in perceptions, barriers, and implementation strategies. This study aimed to explore the perceptions of principals and teachers regarding the implementation of technology in school management, as well as to identify the barriers they faced and the strategies implemented during the transformation process. The study employed a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation with 10 school principals and 10 teachers from vocational schools (SMK) in Palangkaraya City. The results showed that principals had a positive perception of the technological transformation, despite facing barriers related to policies and resource limitations. On the other hand, teachers were more focused on barriers such as technological skills and the lack of training. To overcome these challenges, strategies such as technology-based training and guidance were implemented. The implications of this study highlighted the importance of policies that support ongoing technology training for both teachers and principals, as well as the development of more effective technology-based managerial systems in addressing the challenges of educational digitalization

Abstract

This study aims to explore the concept of female leadership in Islam through an analysis of QS. Al-Nisa [4]: 34 using the Qiraah Mubadalah theory. The methodology employed is qualitative descriptive with a library research approach that analyzes relevant literature and exegesis. The analysis is carried out through three main stages of the Qiraah Mubadalah theory: identifying the universal principles of Islam, interpreting the text inclusively, and applying the ideas in a context relevant to both men and women. The findings indicate that QS. Al-Nisa [4]: 34, often interpreted in a patriarchal manner, can be understood in a more egalitarian light, emphasizing that leadership roles are not exclusive to men but are also open to women with qualities such as responsibility, wisdom, and justice. This approach demonstrates that Islam supports gender equality in various aspects of life, including leadership in households, organizations, and society. The study concludes that leadership in Islam should be based on the values of justice and equality, transcending gender boundaries.
