Abstract

Allo Bank is a digital banking service available in Indonesia. The Allo Bank application has received low reviews on the Google Play Store. Based on several comments, it is known that the application does not function well, frequently experiences errors, and users face difficulties when making payments. Additionally, the application often cannot be used due to problems whose causes are unknown. This study aims to determine the level of usability of the Allo Bank application and identify which principles are not met based on the Heuristics Evaluation principles. The Heuristic Evaluation method was used for this research, while data was collected using questionnaires, and the sampling technique employed was the Slovin technique. The results of this research indicate that the usability of the Allo Bank application falls into the "good" category as the severity rating calculation results did not exceed 1 (one). The highest problem was found in the Use control and freedom aspect and the Help users recognize dialogue, and recovers from errors aspect, with an average severity rating of 1.48 and 1.31, respectively. Meanwhile, there were low average values for H2 and H8. This suggests that both aspects, although they have problems in the system, can still be controlled and users do not consider these issues to be significant problems. Therefore, it is crucial to maintain these aspects.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education demands the availability of e-learning platforms that are not only informative but also responsive and easy to use. This study focuses on the development of the frontend interface of the Usaha Mandiri Ibu (UMI) e-learning platform using a React.js-based Single Page Application (SPA) architecture integrated with a REST API built using Express.js on Node.js. This approach was chosen to address the limitations of conventional Multi-Page Applications (MPA), which are less efficient in page loading, and to meet the needs of the target users, namely housewives, for an intuitive and fast interface. System development was carried out using the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The results show that the implementation of React.js successfully produces a modular interface that separates presentation logic from server-side business logic. Black Box testing on eight main scenarios indicates that all functions operate correctly. In addition, network performance testing using Chrome DevTools shows that page navigation is performed without a full page reload, as indicated by only a single document request (Doc request) during the initial load. These findings demonstrate that the SPA architecture improves navigation efficiency and response time, thereby supporting a more comfortable user experience.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has encouraged medical supply distributors to enhance system integration and operational efficiency. PT Pelita Buana Jaya, operating in Central Java, requires a strategic assessment of its IT infrastructure to support procurement, storage, and distribution activities. This study aims to evaluate the internal and external factors influencing the company’s IT performance using the VRIO and PEST methods. The VRIO analysis examines the strategic value, rarity, imitability, and organizational capability of the company’s technological resources, while the PEST analysis explores the influence of governmental regulations, economic conditions, social expectations, and technological developments. The findings show that PT Pelita Buana Jaya’s current IT infrastructure supports basic operations but lacks full integration, resulting in several operational limitations. Therefore, the company needs to strengthen human resource competencies and develop more integrated digital systems to improve competitiveness and service quality.

Abstract

The development of information technology requires local television stations to have well-managed and effective IT infrastructure. BMSTV, as a local television station, faces challenges in adapting to digital broadcasting and competition from digital media platforms. This study aims to analyze the condition of information technology infrastructure at BMSTV and to formulate strategic development recommendations using SWOT and Value Chain approaches. The research method employed is a qualitative descriptive approach using secondary data obtained from organizational documents and literature studies. The results indicate that BMSTV has strengths in basic technology utilization and local content, but faces weaknesses in system integration and IT human resource competencies. Media digitalization presents significant opportunities to improve service quality, while digital media competition poses major threats. This study recommends strengthening IT infrastructure, enhancing human resource competencies, and developing integrated information systems.

Abstract

The fast advancement of information technology demands that students develop digital literacy skills, including proficiency in using word processing software such as Microsoft Word. However, in practice, many students have not yet fully mastered its use, especially in terms of proper document formatting. This study is intended to assess the effectiveness of Microsoft Word training in enhancing students’ competencies at SMP Negeri 1 Kedungbanteng. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation and questionnaires. The training was implemented using a hands-on method, enabling students to engage actively and gain practical experience. The findings indicate that the training produced a highly positive outcome, with all participants (100%) reporting an understanding of the material. Furthermore, 59.1% of students agreed and 40.9% strongly agreed that the material was easy to follow and useful. There was also a noticeable improvement in students’ technical skills in document preparation, including margin settings, text formatting, and table insertion. Additionally, the training boosted students’ confidence and motivation to learn technology. In conclusion, hands-on Microsoft Word training is proven to be effective in enhancing students’ fundamental skills and digital literacy. The results also emphasize the importance of implementing continuous practice-based training to support learning in the digital age.

Abstract

The rapid growth of information technology has made people use the internet in many daily activities, such as communication, education, and financial transactions like mobile banking. However, using public Wi-Fi without proper security can be risky, especially due to threats like sniffing, where attackers can intercept and access users’ data without their knowledge. This outreach activity aims to increase public awareness about the dangers of sniffing and the importance of safe internet use. The method used was a descriptive approach, including material presentation, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and questionnaires. The activity was conducted with members of the Dawis group in RT 09/RW 07, Kranji Village, East Purwokerto. The results showed that all participants (100%) understood the material, with 62.5% agreeing and 37.5% strongly agreeing that it was easy to understand and relevant to their daily lives. Participants also became more aware of the risks of public Wi-Fi and learned simple ways to stay safe, such as avoiding access to important accounts, using HTTPS, and enabling two-factor authentication. In conclusion, this activity successfully improved digital security awareness and encouraged safer and more responsible internet use.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed the paradigm of graphic design from manual processes to more automated and inclusive approaches. The main problem faced by students at SMK N 1 Purwokerto is the limited technical skills in creating visually appealing content for digital promotion. This community service activity aims to enhance design skills through training on the Canva platform, which is now integrated with AI features. The method used is a participatory workshop consisting of material presentation, hands-on practice, and evaluation of participants’ design outputs. The results of the activity indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of design principles and their ability to utilize Canva’s AI features, such as Magic Design and Text to Image. This transformation enables participants to produce professional design works quickly and efficiently.

Abstract

The use of visual design media in schools, particularly vocational high schools, remains suboptimal. This community service activity aimed to improve students' ability to use Canva as a visual design tool to support information delivery at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Purwokerto. The activity employed a descriptive approach combining socialization and hands-on practice. Participants consisted of 20 students who attended the session on April 30, 2026. Data were collected through observation and documentation of students' design outputs, assessed based on three indicators: color selection, typography use, and layout arrangement. The results showed that 80% of students (16 out of 20) demonstrated measurable improvement across all three aspects after the training, with color selection at 80%, typography at 75%, and layout at 85%. Students were able to produce more structured and communicative visual media compared to their initial work. These findings suggest that Canva can serve as a practical tool to support visual communication skills in a school setting.
