Abstract

This study aimed to develop the learning media and investigated the effectiveness of audio-based Pop-Up Book media on the two-dimensional rectangular shape. This media was tested twice in a small group of 6 students and in a large group of 25 students. Respondents were the 7th grade students. The result of expert validation showed the average percentage of 88,16 % and was considered valid, thus the learning media was allowed to be used and tested. The analysis of effectiveness in small and large groups in a row revealed that students’ respond was very good, with the percentage of 88.1% and 88.87%. In addition, the activities of students in the class were very good, showed by the percentage of 92% and 86.8%. Finally, the classical completeness of the learning outcomes obtained the percentage of 100% from 6 students and 92% from 23 students who completed the test. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of audio-based Pop-Up Book on the two-dimensional rectangular shape was effective for Junior High School students.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 06 Batu masih berupa pembelajaran langsung yang membuat siswa terbatasi idenya dan tidak mengkonstruksi pengetahuan. Penerapan pendekatan saintifik kurang optimal karena baru diterapkan di sekolah tersebut. Tujuan kegiatan Lesson Study ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa melalui penerapan pembelajaran saintifik. Kegiatan Lesson Study dilakukan dengan tahapan plan, do, dan see selama empat siklus. Pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran didiskusikan pada tahap plan kemudian dilaksanakan pada tahap do oleh guru model dan dievaluasi pada tahap see. Hasil kegiatan Lesson Study ini yaitu masih adanya miskonsepsi istilah variabel dan pengurangan suku aljabar oleh guru dan siswa. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sesuai aspek fluency, flexibility, dan originality dengan kriteria peningkatan yang baik di setiap siklus. Pendekatan saintifik diterapkan dengan sangat baik di setiap siklus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan koneksi matematis siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan data kualitatif. Hal ini ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan indicator peningkatan koneksi matematis. Penelitian dilalukan selama empat kali pertemuan dengan subyek penelitian kelas IPA dan kelas IPS. Data diperoleh dengan cara mencatat pada lembar catatan lapangan dan lembar observasi dengan bantuan observer. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu adanya peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam mempelajari materi eksponen dan matriks. Hal ini ditinjau dari analisis hasil pengerjaan soal siswa yang sudah dapat mengkaitkan materi sebelumnya. Akan tetapi, pada indicator koneksi matematis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, siswa belum dapat menjelaskan adanya keterkaitan materi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPembelajaran untuk mata kuliah pendidikan matematika yang meliputi teori belajar, perkembangan peserta didik, profesi keguruan. Selama dua tahun berturut-turut pembelajaran dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi kelompok dan penugasan berupa pengerjaan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM). Metode ini mengakibatkan mahasiswa jarang melakukan kerja sama untuk mengingat serta memaknai dan mengimplementasikan materi melalui kegiatan microteaching. Inovasi model pembelajaran diperlukan agar mahasiswa mampu berkolaborasi untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan serta mengimplementasikan materi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan hasil implementasi model pembelajaran REACT dan tinjauannya terhadap kemampuan kolaboratif mahasiswa melalui kegiatan observasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif yaitu dengan data kualitatif berupa hasil implementasi model pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 8 kali pertemuan pada kelas Strategi Pembelajaran Matematika untuk mahasiswa Semester Kedua di Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang serta adanya peningkatan kemampuan kolaboratif mahasiswa. Kemampuan kolaboratif terlihat dari pengerjaan LKM secara berkelompok dan kerja sama dalam pembuatan desain pembelajaran matematika. Kolaborasi juga dapat terlihat dari kontribusi ide penyelesaian masalah, saran, gagasan, serta pertanyaan yang bersifat konfirmasi. Selain itu, simulasi desain pembelajaran juga merupakan bentuk kolaborasi anggota tim. Kemampuan kolaboratif terlihat paling jelas ketika tahap Experiencing, Cooperating, dan Transfering. Tahap experiencing menunjukkan mahasiswa mampu menjawab pertanyaan yang didasarkan pada pengalaman pribadi. Tahap cooperating menunjukkan mahasiswa berdiskusi aktif menyelesaikan LKM secara berkelompok. Tahap transferring menunjukkan mahasiswa bekerja sama membuat desain pembelajaran serta mensimulasikan. Dengan demikian, melalui implementasi model pembelajaran REACT, mahasiswa mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kolaboratif. Kata-Kunci:  Model Pembelajaran REACT; Kemampuan Kolaboratif; Pendidikan Matematika. ABSTRACTLearning on mathematics courses education that includes learning theory, students’ development, and the teaching profession, was performed for two years in a row by using the method of lectures, group discussions, and assignments in the form of a worksheet. The methods caused the students rarely to do work together to memorize, interpret, and implement the material through the activities of microteaching. The innovation learning model was necessary so that students could collaborate to solve problems and implement the material. This research aimed to describe the results of the implementation of the REACT learning model and its review on the students’ ability to collaborate through the activities of observation. The research method employed descriptive with qualitative data in the form of the results of the implementation of the learning model implemented on 8 meetings on the class of Strategies of Learning Mathematics for the students of the Second Semester in Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang as well as an increase in the ability of collaborative students. The students’ collaborative learning can also be seen from the students’ contribution to problem solving, suggestions, ideas, and questions in the form of confirmation. The design and simulation of the learning design were in the form of collaboration from team members. Students’ ability to collaborative learning was clear on the stage of Experiencing, Cooperating, and Transferring. The stage of experiencing showed that students were able to answer questions based on personal experience, the stage of cooperating showed that students actively conducted discussion to complete the worksheet in groups, and the stage of transferring showed that students were working together to make learning design and its simulation. Thus, through the implementation of the REACT learning model, students could improve the ability of collaborative learning. Keyword: REACT Learning Model; Collaborative Ability; Mathematics Education

Abstract

his study aims to describe the application of the PBL learning model in mathematics learning, to find out the types of errors that students make in solving math story problems based on Newman's analysis, and what factors are the causes of student errors in solving math story problems. The subjects of this research were students of class VII. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, written tests, and interviews. The results showed that learning with the application of the PBL model with NEA on the rectangular material went very well during the three meetings that went very well, as indicated by the implementation of each of these learning steps during the learning process going well, this indicates that student activities when the learning process by applying the PBL learning model with the NEA went very well. The error analysis based on the NEA shows that the most mistakes made by students were errors in writing the final answer. This was due to students' mistakes in working on the previous stage and also students who did not write conclusions, the lowest error made by students was transformation errors.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan Profesionalisme Guru dengan memberikan Motivation Training. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kepanjen yang terdiri dari 65 subjek. Permasalahan ini didapatkan melalui kegiatan FGD dengan kepala sekolah dan disampaikan perlunya pemberian Motivation training kepada guru. Metode yang digunakan yaitu melalui kegiatan workshop dan kegiatan pendampingan. Selain pemberian Motivation training, kegiatan ini juga dilakukan dengan penjelasan Kurikulum Blok dan PjBL guna menunjang bagaimana implementasi yang dilakukan pendidik setelah pemberian motivation Training. Hasil dari kegiatan Workshop dan pendampingan mendapatkan hasil bahwa pelaksanaanya berjalan dengan baik dan mendapatkan animo yang baik dari subjek. Kemudian dari hasil evaluasi keterlaksanaan dan dilakukan perhitungan persentase didapatkan peningkatan Profesionalisme Guru sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan melalui kegiatan yang memuat bagaimana ketekunan dalam mengajar, keuletan, kemandirian, pemberian reward dan minat dalam mengajar serta bagaimana guru mempersiapkan perangkat pembelajaran. Adapun rata-rata peningkatannya adalah 4,83%.Abstract: The purpose of this service activity is to improve Teacher Professionalism by providing Motivation Training. This activity was carried out at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kepanjen which consisted of 65 subjects. This problem was obtained through FGD activities with school principals and conveyed the need for providing motivation training to teachers. The method used is through workshop activities and mentoring activities. In addition to providing motivation training, this activity is also carried out with an explanation of the Block Curriculum and PjBL to support how the implementation is carried out by educators after giving motivation training. The results of the workshop and mentoring activities showed that the implementation went well and got good interest from the subject. Then from the results of the implementation evaluation and a percentage calculation, it was found that there was an increase in Teacher Professionalism before and after the activity through activities that included how perseverance in teaching, tenacity, independence, giving rewards and interest in teaching and how teachers prepare learning tools. The average increase is 4.83%

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah model discovery learning dan besarnya peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik tentang materi fungsi invers. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini meliputi tes tulis dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar soal tes akhir siklus dan lembar observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X IPA 6 di SMA Negeri 9 Malang sebanyak 35 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik dengan model discovery learning pada materi fungsi invers. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik mengalami peningkatan sebesar 20,41%, sedangkan ketuntasan klasikal meningkat sebesar 17,15%. Pembelajaran dengan model discovery learning yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dilaksanakan dengan langkah-langkah yaitu stimulation (memberi stimulus), problem statement (mengidentifikasi masalah), data collecting (mengumpulkan data), data processing (mengolah data), verification (memverifikasi), dan generalization (menyimpulkan). Improved Understanding of the Concept of Learners with The Discovery Learning Model on Inverse Function MaterialsAbstractThis research is motivated by the low understanding of the concepts of students. The purpose of this study is to describe the steps of the discovery learning model and the magnitude of the increase in students' understanding of the concept of inverse function material. Data collection methods used in classroom action research (CAR) include written tests and observations. The research instruments were the final cycle test questions sheet and the observation sheet of learning implementation. The research subjects were 35th-grade science students 6 in Malang State Senior High School as many as 35 students. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in understanding of students' concepts with discovery learning models in inverse function material. The ability to understand students' concepts has increased by 20.41%, while classical completeness has increased by 17.15%. Learning with discovery learning models that can improve understanding of concepts are carried out by steps namely stimulation (giving stimulus), problem statement (identifying problems), collecting data (collecting data), data processing (processing data), verification (verifying), and generalization (conclude).

Abstract

This study aims to see students' computational thinking in solving social statistics questions and to find out why students experience their mistakes. This type of research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects used in this study were Governmental Science students taking the Social Statistics course. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and tests. The instruments used in this study were the observation sheet and the test question sheet. The analysis is carried out by reducing the data first, then presenting the data, and ending by concluding the results of the computational thinking indicator. The results showed that all aspects of computational thinking have been carried out by students, starting from Decomposition, Pattern Recognition, Abstraction, and Algorithm design. Students get the highest percentage, namely algorithm design with 84% and the lowest on decomposition with 65.5%. The cause of errors, in general, is because students are not used to completing in a structured manner. Students are accustomed to solving problems by directly substituting values into the formula without first writing down what is known and looking for what is needed in the questions first.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengimplementasikan pendekatan computational thinking terhadap kemampuan problem solving melalui game jungle adventure. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 1 Turen Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif eksperimental dengan model ADDIE. Hasil validasi pedoman wawancara adalah 75%, hasil validasi dari kuisioner siswa adalah 68,75%, dan hasil validasi dari media pembelajaran adalah 73,2%. Hal ini menyatakan bahwa pedoman wawancara, kuisioner dan media pembelajaran dapat dikatakan valid. Hasil kuisioner siswa menyatakan bahwa 90% siswa menyatakan bahwa game ini sesuai dengan indikator dan layak digunakan. Hasil lembar jawaban game menyatakan bahwa 75 % dari siswa sudah dapat dikatakan baik dan mampu menguasai seluruh indikator computational thinking. Game Jungle Adventure dapat membantu proses problem solving dengan pendekatan computational thinking pada siswa SMA.
