Abstract

Micro teaching is a compulsory course that must be taken by prospective mathematics teacher students of UIN Bukittinggi. Micro teaching courses train the basic teaching skills of prospective mathematics teachers. One of the lessons that is trained to prospective mathematics teacher students is Islamic integration mathematics learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the perspectives of prospective mathematics teacher students on Islamic integration mathematics teaching that students have practised. This research is a descriptive study with the research subjects are UIN Bukittinggi students who take micro teaching in the sixth semester totalling eleven students. Data were collected using a questionnaire that uses a 1-4 scale. The analysis was carried out using the average formula and then matched against the assessment criteria table. The results of this study are prospective mathematics teacher students have a very good perspective on Islamic integration mathematics learning that has been trained. Islamic integrated mathematics learning is very good in motivating and useful, new learning, interesting, challenging, useful, makes it easier for students to understand mathematical concepts and can add insight to students related to Islamic knowledge.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze students’ errors based on Newman’s Error Analysis in solving mathematical word problems on social arithmetic material. The type of research used was qualitative research with a descriptive method. The subjects were selected using purposive sampling, with 9 students of Class VII A at UPT SMPN 7 Tambang chosen from 32 students based on different achievement levels. The instruments used in this study included mathematics test items on social arithmetic material, interview guidelines, and documentation. All data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed that: (1) students with high achievement generally made transformation errors, namely being incomplete in writing mathematical models; process skill errors, namely using the correct process, but obtaining incorrect answers; and encoding errors, namely making mistakes in drawing conclusions and not writing the final conclusion. (2) Students with average achievement generally made transformation errors, namely being incomplete in writing mathematical models and making mistakes in writing mathematical models; process skill errors, namely using the wrong process so that the answers were incorrect, being unable to solve the problems, and using the correct process, but still obtaining incorrect answers; as well as encoding errors, namely making mistakes in drawing conclusions and not writing the final conclusion. (3) Students with low achievement generally made transformation errors, process skill errors, and encoding errors because they did not answer the problems and were unable to solve the problems.

Abstract

The development of 21st-century education demands strengthening mathematical creative thinking as part of higher-order thinking. However, the literature shows a conceptual fragmentation that positions mathematical creativity as both a cognitive process and a measurable ability. This study aims to synthesize and integrate these two perspectives through a systematic literature review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, resulting in a more comprehensive conceptual framework. The review process was carried out through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion of literature from the Scopus database with strict selection criteria. Of 124,278 initial documents, 34 scientific articles were identified that met the criteria for the main unit of analysis. The analysis was conducted through a cross-study conceptual synthesis to identify the characteristics of creativity as a process and an ability, and to examine the relationship between the two. The results of the study indicate that the process approach emphasizes the dynamics of the stages of creative thinking (e.g., preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification). In contrast, the ability approach emphasizes measurable indicators such as fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The main finding of this study is the development of an integrative conceptual framework of process–ability, which positions mathematical creativity as a multidimensional construct that simultaneously connects cognitive dynamics with measurable performance. The contribution of this study is not only a critical synthesis but also an attempt to offer a new conceptual flowchart that integrates creative thinking as a process and as an ability, and is expected to serve as the basis for developing more holistic learning and assessment designs. The implications of this study indicate the importance of developing assessment instruments that can capture both process and product simultaneously. Thus, this study expands theoretical understanding while providing new methodological directions in mathematics education research and practice. Keywords: creative thinking process, creative thinking ability, mathematics, mathematics education.

Abstract

The performance of local governments is a key indicator for assessing the quality of public services and the implementation of good governance principles. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the Pekanbaru City Government based on public perceptions. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, using public perception survey data analyzed through tabulation and descriptive interpretation. The findings indicate that respondents’ perceptions of public service performance, service institutions, service governance, and the overall performance of the Pekanbaru City Government are generally dominated by positive assessments. However, several aspects still require serious attention, particularly government performance in the economic and infrastructure sectors. Therefore, this study recommends that the Pekanbaru City Government not only maintain its positive achievements in basic public services but also strengthen the governance of economic and infrastructure policies and enhance public communication to ensure that the benefits of development are more widely and equitably experienced by the community.

Abstract

This study employs a research and development (R&D) methodology based on the ADDIE model, comprising the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. The objective is to produce a mathematics module integrated with Islamic values, grounded in high school students’ mathematical communication skills, particularly regarding probability. The module aims to be valid, practical, and effective, and to enhance students’ knowledge of Islamic studies. The study was conducted at MAN 4 Kampar during the odd semester of 2025/2026, with 10th-grade students in Class X.A and experts as subjects, and the developed module as the object of study. The research design used was a pre-experimental one-shot case study. Data were collected through questionnaires, tests, and documentation, resulting in both quantitative and qualitative data. Data analysis included the Aiken index (validity), percentage (practicality), normality test, and one-sample t-test (effectiveness and Islamic knowledge). The data analysis showed that the module was highly valid (0.87) and highly practical (81.26% for small groups and 88.69% for limited groups). The posttest results were calculated using the left-tailed t-test, yielding. Therefore, it is accepted and rejected, indicating that students' average learning outcomes have reached the mastery level. Furthermore, the results of the Islamic knowledge questionnaire were analyzed using a right-tailed t-test, yielding. Therefore, it was rejected and accepted, indicating that students' average Islamic knowledge had increased. Based on these methods, it can be concluded that the integrated mathematics module grounded in Islamic values, which focuses on high school students’ mathematical communication skills in probability, demonstrates high validity, practicality, and effectiveness in the learning process and can enhance students’ religious knowledge.

Abstract

The implementation of this community service activity was carried out in response to the limited knowledge of teachers regarding scientific writing, even though scientific writing is a strategic component in supporting the professional development of teachers. Therefore, this activity aims to equip mathematics subject teacher forum (MGMP) teachers at vocational high schools (SMK) in Indragiri Hilir Regency with an understanding of the basic principles of scientific article writing, technical skills, and strategies for publishing scientific articles based on the result of classroom action research (PTK).
