Abstract

Mesoporous silica is continuously raising in popularity due to its excellent and unique properties, such as customizable pore, surface shape/morphology, large pore volume, and ease of functionalization for wide applications like catalysis, energy, environment, and biomedical areas. In the templated growth synthesis, a template acts as a mesostructure-directing agent to produce hollow porous structures in silica frameworks. Templates can be divided into "hard" and "soft" templates. While soft templates are typically in a fluid-like condition and hard templates are typically solid-state materials with specific morphology and structure. In this minireview, we summarize the synthesis method of mesoporous silica with a soft-hard template approach (template-assisted method).

Abstract

ABSTRAKPemberdayaan pemuda telah dilakukan di RT 01 RW 01 Desa Perbon Kabupaten Tuban. Pemberdayaan dilakukan oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur yang tergabung dalam program Matching Fund. Kegiatan pemberdayaan dilakukan dalam bentuk pembentukan wadah oraganisasi bagi pemuda setempat. Belum adanya wadah organisasi bagi pemuda di lingkungan setempat menjadi permasalahan yang harusnya diatasi. Lewat pemberdayaan ini dalam bentuk kegiatan pengabdian akan dapat menjawab permasalahan untuk memperdayakan pemuda setempat. Metode yang dilakukan adalah pencarian masalah di lingkungan sekitar yang dilakukan secara langsung, analisa masalah yang dilakukan untuk menentukan solusi yang akan menjawab permasalahan, pelaksanaan kegiatan yang bermuara  pada pembentukan organisasi karang taruna, dan kegiatan evaluasi untuk melakukan penilaian tolak ukur keberhasilan. Sebelum pembentukan karang taruna, dilakukan pembekalan yang dikemas dalam kegiatan pelatihan organisasi dan pendampingan pembuatan program kerja. Penentuan keberhasilan pemberdayaan ini didukung oleh hasil wawancara yang dilakukan kepada orang yang terlibat dalam pembentukan karang taruna. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas pemuda RT setempat dan harapan kepada Karang Taruna untuk terus berkembang. Perkembangan aktivitas harus terus dilakukan untuk memantau kegiatan Karang Taruna. Kata kunci: pemberdayaan pemuda; karang taruna; organisasi. ABSTRACTYouth empowerment has been carried out in RT 01 RW 01 Perbon Village, Tuban Regency. Empowerment was carried out by students of the East Java "Veteran" National Development University Faculty of Engineering who are members of the Matching Fund program. Empowerment activities are carried out in the form of forming an organizational platform for local youth. The absence of an organizational platform for youth in the local environment is a problem that must be addressed. Through this empowerment in the form of service activities will be able to answer problems to empower local youth. The method used is the search for problems in the surrounding environment which is carried out directly, problem analysis is carried out to determine solutions that will answer the problems, implementation of activities that lead to the formation of youth organizations, and evaluation activities to evaluate success benchmarks. Prior to the formation of youth organizations, training was carried out which was packaged in organizational training activities and assistance in making work programs. Determining the success of this empowerment is supported by the results of interviews conducted with people involved in the formation of youth organizations. The results of the interviews showed an increase in the activity of the local RT youth and hopes for Karang Taruna to continue to develop. Activity development must continue to be carried out to monitor Karang Taruna activities. Keywords: youth empowerment; youth organization; organization.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan tentang teknologi pengolahan susu sapi menjadi produk turunan yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan serta pendampingan dalam pembuatan produk derivative susu sapi yaitu yoghurt, . Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada Ibu-ibu PKK dan Karang Taruna Kecamatan Karangploso, Kabupaten Malang. Metode pelatihan pembuatan yoghurt dilakukan dengan pemberian penyuluhan,sosialisasi dan demonstrasi pembuatan yoghurt. Pembuatan yoghurt dilakukan dengan sangat sederhana yaitu melalui proses pasteurisasi susu sapi dan fermentasi menggunakan starter yaitu Lactobacillus Bulgaricus dan Streptococcus thermophilus. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan menganalisis produk yoghurt yang dihasilkan dari segi visual dan rasa. Untuk mengetahui keberhasilan program, setelah kegiatan dilakukan evaluasi dengan tanya jawab bersama ibu-ibu PKK dan Karang Taruna desa Bocek. Selain itu, setelah kegiatan ini, ibu-ibu PKK dan Karang Taruna desa Bocek juga mencoba melakukan praktek secara langsung dengan membuat yoghurt berbagai varian rasa. Hal ini menunjukkan keberhasilan program, dimana ibu-ibu PKK dan Karang Taruna desa Bocek mampu membuat produk derivative susu sapi yaitu yoghurt. Kegiatan pelatihan ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat, dengan waktu pelaksanaan program yang cukup singkat. Kesimpulannya, dengan adanya pelatihan ini, berdampak baik pada peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu-ibu PKK dan Karang Taruna desa Bocek dalam membuat yoghurt. Produk ini bisa dijual baik secara langsung maupun e-commerce yang dapat meningkatkan perekonomian Desa Bocek. Kata kunci: produk derivative; susu sapi; yoghurt; desa bocek ABSTRACTThe purpose of this community service program is to provide information and knowledge about the technology for processing cow's milk into derivative products that have the potential to be developed as well as training in produce yogurt, for PKK and Karang Taruna Bocek and also to provide information. This activity was carried out for PKK and Karang Taruna in Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency. The Yogurt Making Training Method is carried out by providing counseling, outreach, and demonstrations on making yogurt. Making yogurt is very simple, through pasteurizing cow's milk and fermentation using a starter. Evaluation of activities is carried out by analyzing the yogurt products produced, seeing the results of fermented yogurt produced from a visual and taste point of view. To find out the success of the program, after the activity an evaluation was carried out with a question and answer session with PKK and Karang Taruna in Bocek. Apart from that, after this activity, PKK and Karang Taruna in Bocek also tried to practice directly by making yogurt with various flavors. This shows the success of the program, where PKK  and Karang Taruna in Bocek were able to make a cow's milk derivative product, yogurt. This training activity is to the needs of the community, with a relatively short program implementation time. In conclusion, this training had a good impact on increasing the knowledge and skills of PKK and Karang Taruna women in Bocek village in making yogurt. This product can be sold both directly and via e-commerce which can improve the economy of Bocek. Keywords: derivative products; cow's milk; yogurt; bocek village.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPelatihan pembuatan ecoenzim sebagai transformasi kulit buah menjadi disinfektan cerdas di Kecamatan Sumberasih, Probolinggo, bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada peserta dalam memproduksi ecoenzim sebagai alternatif disinfektan yang ramah lingkungan. Ecoenzim ini dihasilkan melalui proses fermentasi kulit buah yang tidak terpakai, sehingga dapat mengurangi limbah organik dan membantu dalam upaya pengolahan limbah. Pelatihan ini dilakukan melalui kegiatan penyuluhan dan demonstrasi yang diikuti oleh empat puluh warga. Selain itu, pemahaman tentang prinsip-prinsip penggunaan ecoenzim sebagai disinfektan dalam berbagai situasi, seperti di rumah tangga, tempat kerja, dan lingkungan umum juga diberikan. Berdasarkan angket yang diberikan, peningkatan pemahaman warga terhadap pengolahan sampah organik terutama kulit buah sebagai ecoenzim meningkat sebesar 75%. Peningkatan ini cukup baik dan diharapkan setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini, warga dapat menerapkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperoleh untuk mengurangi limbah organik, menghasilkan produk yang ramah lingkungan, dan mempromosikan kebersihan dan kesehatan (Hygiene) di masyarakat Kecamatan Sumberasih, Probolinggo. Kata kunci: ecoenzim; limbah kulit buah; organic. ABSTRACTTraining on making ecoenzymes as the transformation of fruit peel into a smart disinfectant in Sumberasih District, Probolinggo, aims to provide knowledge and skills to participants in producing ecoenzymes as an environmentally friendly alternative disinfectant. This ecoenzyme is produced through the fermentation process of unused fruit peels, so it can reduce organic waste and help in waste processing efforts. This training was carried out through counseling and demonstration activities which were attended by fourty residents. In addition, an understanding of the principles of using ecoenzymes as disinfectants in various situations, such as in households, workplaces and general environments is also provided. Based on the questionnaire given, the increase in residents' understanding of the processing of organic waste, especially fruit peels as ecoenzymes, increased by 75%. This improvement is quite good and it is hoped that after participating in this training, residents can apply the knowledge and skills gained to reduce organic waste, produce environmentally friendly products, and promote cleanliness and health in the community of Sumberasih District, Probolinggo. Keywords: ecoenzyme; fruit peel waste; organic.

Abstract

Abon merupakan salah satu olahan makanan yang berbahan dasar dari daging sapi, maupun daging ikan. Abon ini berasal dari Pulau Jawa dan Pulau Bali. Langkah utama membuat abon yaitu pencucian, perebusan, peremahan, dan penggorengan, Salah satu bahan yang dapat dijadikan abon yakni daging ikan tongkol. Salah satu jenis ikan tuna yang hidup di dasar laut yakni ikan tongkol. Ikan tongkol mempunyai kandungan protein yang cukup tinggi sehingga cocok untuk dijadikan oalahan makanan. Di Kelurahan Lumpur ini, ikan tongkol dijual secara mentah atau belum diolah menjadi olahan makanan. Oleh karena itu dikakukan sosialisasi pembuatan abon bertujuan untuk mengurangi kadar air yang ada pada daging sehingga dapat memperlama waktu simpan dan meningkatkan nilai jual ikan tongkol. Adanya sosialisasi ini, diharapkan masyarakat dapat mengembangkannya menjadi usaha skala rumahan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian di Kelurahan Lumpur.

Abstract

The practical technique for membrane modification is dip coating. This study coats a PVDF hollow fiber membrane-based composite with a coating of zeolite. The composite is made of a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane. During water filtering, the separation capabilities and propensities of composite membranes for organic impurities were examined. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy analysis of the findings demonstrated that the Zeolite coating was successfully deposited on the PVDF membrane. The flux recovery ratio increases from 69% to 80% while the relative flux drop decreases from 63% to 50%. A composite PVDF membrane dip-coating of Zeolite with a GA and H2SO4 ratio of 1:2 is needed to remove about 75% of humic compounds from effluent. The results of this study show that the addition of Zeolite with a GA and H2SO4 layer can greatly improve the hydrophilicity, selectivity, and anti-organic fouling of the PVDF hollow fiber membrane.

Abstract

Photodegradation of organic pollutants depends significantly on the structure of metal oxide-based semiconductor photocatalysts. ZnO/ZSM-5 has shown the potential to significantly improve its photocatalytic efficiency for removing waterborne pollutants. ZnO/ZSM-5 has been reported to be an active catalyst for degrading methylene blue. These methods commonly involve various catalytic reactions, with the Langmuir-Hinshelwood process being used to describe the reaction kinetics. A kinetic study on the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue using ZnO/ZSM-5 was conducted under UV-LED lamp irradiation. ZnO/ZSM-5 was characterized using XRD, SEM, and N2 adsorption-desorption, and it was prepared via the impregnation method. The interaction between ZnO/ZSM-5 and methylene blue solutions over a period of 30 to 180 minutes was monitored using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue followed first-order rate kinetics. The Langmuir-Hinshelwood (L-H) kinetic analysis revealed that the photocatalytic reaction constant (kc) was 4.207 L.mg-1. menit-1, and the Langmuir-Hinshelwood constant (K) was 261.509 L.mg-1.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Al-MCM-41 adalah material padatan berpori yang tersusun dari silika amorf, memiliki struktur membentuk susunan heksagonal dengan ukuran pori antara 2-50 nm, sehingga dikategorikan sebagai material mesopori. Dalam pembuatan Al-MCM-41 membutuhkan sumber silika dan alumina yang tinggi sebagai bahan pembuatannya, sehingga dibutuhkan bahan yang kaya akan kedua senyawa tersebut sebagai bahan alternatif dalam pembuatan Al-MCM-41. Rumus formula kaolin adalah Al4(Si4O10)(OH)8 dengan komponen mineral utamanya  adalah SiO2  dan Al2O3 Kaolin yang digunakan berasal dari bangka belitung dengan kandungan SiO2 sebesar 61% dan Al2O3 sebesar 31%, kandungan SiO2 dan Al2O3 yang cukup tinggi dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pada sintesis material aluminosilikat seperti Al-MCM-41. Sintesis Al-MCM-41 dari kaolin dilakukan dengan metode hidrotermal. pH yang digunakan sebesar 10, dengan suhu 80°C selama 12 jam pada proses hidrotermalnya. Al-MCM-41 hasil sintesis dianalisa menggunakan XRD dan FTIR dimana pada analisa XRD sudut pendek menunjukkan 3 puncak pada 2θ= 2.237°, 3.921°, 4.449° dan XRD sudut panjang pada 2θ= 21.449°. Analisa FTIR untuk Al-MCM-41 menunjukkan pita serapan pada bilangan gelombang 436.49; 802.47; 1146.41; 1630.61; 3389.79 cm-1. Kata kunci: Al-MCM-41, hidrotermal, lempung, mesopori, pH ABSTRACT  Al-MCM-41 is a porous solid material composed of amorphous silica, has a structure forming a hexagonal array with a pore size between 2-50 nm, so it is categorized as a mesoporous material. The manufacture of Al-MCM-41 requires a high source of silica and alumina as materials, so materials rich in both compounds are needed as the development of materials used in the manufacture of Al-MCM-41. Kaolin (Al4(Si4O10)(OH)8) is a white clay mineral, the main minerals are SiO2 and Al2O3. The kaolin used comes from bangka belitung with a SiO2 content of 61% and Al2O3 of 31%, the high content of SiO2 and Al2O3 is utilized as an ingredient in the synthesis of aluminosilicate materials such as Al-MCM-41. The synthesis of Al-MCM-41 from kaolin was carried out by hydrothermal method. The pH used was 10, with a temperature of 80°C for 12 hours in the hydrothermal process. The synthesized Al-MCM-41 was analyzed using XRD and FTIR where the short angle XRD analysis showed 3 peaks at 2θ = 2.237°, 3.921°, 4.449° and long angle XRD at 2θ = 21.449°. Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan industri tekstil menjadi salah satu penyumbang terbesar limbah zat warna ke lingkungan yang berdampak pencemaran terhadap sumber air. Hal ini dikarenakan melalui hasil pengamatan langsung di lapangan kondisi air limbah yang dibuang masih berwarna pekat dan berbau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari kinetika adsorpsi zat warna metilen biru menggunakan adsorben grafen oksida yang disintesis dari limbah baterai. Metode hummer digunakan dalam sintesis grafen oksida melalui penambahan asam sulfat. Studi kinetika adsorpsi dilakukan pada konsentrasi metilen biru 10-50 ppm serta variasi waktu adsorpsi 5-25 menit. Kondisi optimum diperoleh pada pada konsentrasi metilen biru 30 ppm dengan waktu 25 menit. Mekanisme adsorpsi yang terjadi mengikuti model Langmuir nilai R2 sebesar 0.92522 dengan nilai Qm= 99.1 mg.g-1 dan nilai K=0.325. Kata kunci: adsorpsi, graphene oxide, jurnal, teknik lingkungan ABSTRACT  The development of the textile industry is one of the main sources of dye waste I the environment, which means that the discharged wastewater is still concentrated and smelly when observed directly on the ground, thus contributing to water pollution. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the concentration of methylene blue dye and the adsorption time and to determine the adsorption isotherm. For the synhesis of graphene oxide, the hummer’s method was used where graphite wes recombined with H2SO4 sulfuric acid and the adsorbed solution was measured using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Graphene oxide acted as an adsorbent by adsorbing methylene blue and the result showed that he optimum time and concetration was acheieved at a 30 ppm and 25 minutes.  The adsorption mechanism aligns with the Langmuir model, demonstrated by an R2 value of 0.92522, a Qm value of 99.1 mg.g-1, and a K value of 0.325. Keywords: adsorption, environmental engineering, graphene oxide, journal

Abstract

Mesoporous silica is a versatile material characterized by its highly ordered nanoporous structure with pore diameters ranging from 2 to 50 nanometers. This unique structure provides a large surface area and volume, making mesoporous silica an excellent candidate for various applications in adsorption, drug delivery, catalysis, and environmental remediation. Mesoporous silica can be synthesized using commercial or natural silica precursors such as mineral clay and other natural sources. Promising alternative sources of silica for synthesizing mesoporous materials encompass a range of materials, including various clay minerals such as kaolin, rectorite, halloysite, montmorillonite, sepiolite, hectorite, bentonite, talc, muscovite, paragonite, palygorskite, and chlorite. Other natural sources like beach sand, geothermal sludge, and sepiolite also show significant potential for mesoporous material synthesis. However, these sources have not been extensively explored and warrant further investigation in the field.
