Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan regulasi diri siswa antara kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan problem based leaning dan kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran ekspositori dan (2) pengaruh penerapan problem based learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan regulasi diri siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Santo Vincentius Jakarta. Pada kelas eksperimen, pembelajaran IPA dilaksanakan dengan model problem based learning, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol dengan  pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan oleh guru yaitu pembelajaran ekspositori. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah (1) tes untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa ditinjau dari aspek kognitif, (2) skala perilaku untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari aspek perilaku dan regulasi diri siswa. Analisis data menggunakan (1) statistik deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan data keterampilan berpikir kritis dan regulasi diri siswa, dan (2) statistik infe-rensial dengan menggunakan uji t sampel bebas dan uji MANOVA untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian dengan taraf signifikansi 5% (α = 0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang signifikan antara kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan problem based leaning dan kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran ekspositori, dengan nilai sig. 0,040; (2) terdapat perbedaan regulasi diri siswa yang signifikan antara kelas yang diajar de-ngan menggunakan problem based learning dan kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran ekspositori, dengan nilai sig. 0,005; (3) penerapan problem based learning berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan regulasi diri siswa, dengan nilai sig 0,021.THE EFFECT OF APPLYING PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING TO CRITICAL THINKING SKILL AND SELF-REGULATION OF 5TH GRADERSABSTRACTThe objective of this research is to know: (1) the difference between the student’s critical thinking skills and self regulation of the classes taught using problem based learning and expository learning, and (2) the effect of applying problem-based learning to student’s critical thinking skill and self-regulation. This research is a quasi-experimental research study. The population of this research is all 5th graders of St. Vincentius, Jakarta. In the experimental class, science study was done by problem-based learning model, while in the control class by expository learning model. The instruments used are (1) a test to measure students’ critical thinking skill reviewed from the cognitive aspect, (2) a scale of behavior to measure critical thinking skill reviewed from the behavioral aspect and students’ self-regulation. Data analysis used (1) descriptive statistics to describe the data of students’ critical thinking skill and self-regulation, and (2) inferential statistic by using independent sample t-test and MANOVA test to test the hypothesis of research with the significance level of 5% (α = 0,05).The results of this reseach have shown that: (1) there is a difference between the student’s critical thinking skills of the classes taught using problem based learning and expository learning, with sig 0.040; (2) there is a difference between the student’s self regulation of the classes taught using problem based learning and expository learning, with sig 0.005; (3) the application of problem-based learning positively and significantly influences students’ critical thinking skill dan self regulation, with sig 0.021.Keywords: problem-based learning, expository learning, critical thinking skill, self-regulation.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of the cooperative problem-based learning on the improvement of the critical thinking and interpersonal intelligence of the fifth-grade students. This research was a quasi-experiment with the pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were all fifth-grade students of SDN Liang Anggang 1, Pandahan 1, and Pandahan 2, Bati-Bati District of South Kalimantan in the second semester of the academic year 2015/2016. Data collection techniques that used were test and scale technique. The test was used to find out the critical thinking and the scale were used to find out the interpersonal intelligence.The hypothesis was tested using t-test and MANOVA with 0.05 significant levels. The result of this research shows that the use of the cooperative problem-based learning model in natural science teaching is effective in improving critical thinking and interpersonal intelligence of the fifth-grade students. Based on the result of t-test in posttest, the experimental I and II with control group show that the sig. 0.05 and the result of the MANOVA in the experimental I and II with control group show that the significant value 0.000 ˂ 0.05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media video pembelajaran yang layak dan efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif bagi siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Pacarejo, Kecamatan Semanu, Gunungkidul. Penelitian ini menggunakan langkah pengembangan menurut Borg Gall, tetapi desain pengembangan media video pembelajaran ini hanya meliputi 9 langkah, yaitu (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan produk awal, (4) uji coba awal, (5) revisi produk awal, (6) uji coba lapangan, (7) revisi produk hasil uji coba lapangan, (8) uji coba lapangan operasional, dan (9) revisi produk akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media video pembel-ajaran layak digunakan menurut ahli materi dan ahli media dengan kategori “baik”. Produk yang dikembangkan juga terbukti efektif meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Pacarejo. Rata-rata skor motivasi dan nilai hasil belajar kognitif pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol.Kata Kunci: media video pembelajaran, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar kognitif DEVELOPING INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO TO ENHANCE THE MOTIVATION AND LEARNING OUTCOMES OF 4th GRADE STUDENTS AbstractThis research aims to produce an instructional video media that is feasible and effective for increasing the motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of 4th grade students of SD Gugus Pacarejo, Kecamatan Semanu, Gunungkidul. This research is a research and development study from Borg Gall model, but the design of an instructional video media consists of only nine steps, including (1) preliminary study, (2) planning, (3) preliminary product development, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) main product revision, (6) main field testing, (7) operational product revision, (8) operational field testing, (9) final product revision.The results are as follows the developed instructional video media is fit use according to the media expert and material expert, which is in a good category. The developed instructional video media is effective for increasing the motivation and learning outcome of the 4th grade students of SD Gugus Pacarejo. The average score of motivation and the value of the cognitive learning in the experimental class which is higher than that of the control class. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan dan mengevaluasi penerapan Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar dalam proses pembelajaran di SDN Idaman RSBI Banjarbaru. dengan meng-gunakan evaluasi model Kesenjangan. Data dikumpulkan dengan tiga metode yaitu: interview, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dalam wawancara, peneliti menggali tanggapan, pengalaman dan persepsi guru dan Kepala Sekolah terkait dengan Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar. Dalam observasi, peneliti mengumpulkan data tentang materi dan aktivitas pembelajaran. Dalam dokumentasi, peneliti mengumpul-kan data tentang sekolah dan pembelajaran dari dokumen terkait. Untuk mencapai keterpercayaan, inter-pretasi data diverifikasi kembali oleh guru dan Kepala Sekolah sampai tidak ada pertentangan pandangan terhadap makna data tersebut. Akhirnya, analisa data dituangkan dalam metode kualitatif untuk meng-gambarkan hasil dari pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar dalam proses pembelajaran di SDN Idaman RSBI Banjarbaru belum terlaksana sepenuhnya sesuai standar yang ada pada Pedoman Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di SD Depdiknas 2008. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sikap positif terhadap matematika dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas melalui PMRI dengan asesmen portofolio. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindak-an Kelas kolaboratif dengan guru kelas sebagai kolaborator pelaksana tindakan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi skala sikap siswa, wawancara, dan observasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala sikap siswa, pedoman wawancara, dan lembar observasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap positif terhadap matematika dan motivasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah dilaksanakan tindakan pembelajaran melalui pendekatan PMRI dengan asesmen portofolio. Skor sikap siswa sebelum tindakan adalah 76,50 deng-an kriteria cukup positif meningkat menjadi 81,50 dengan kriteria positif pada siklus I dan meningkat lagi menjadi 86,79 dengan kriteria positif pada siklus II. Dari hasil wawancara diperoleh informasi bahwa siswa yang termotivasi untuk belajar lebih giat sebanyak 7,14% pada pra tindakan, kemudian meningkat menjadi 50% pada siklus I, dan meningkat lagi menjadi 92,86% pada siklus II. Abstract

One of the concerns in the process of adolescent transition into adulthood is the status of career identity. Good status enables teenagers to survive in increasingly competitive conditions. This study aims to see the status of career identity found in first year students at Yogyakarta State University. Data were collected by survey method using scale spread to 500 respondents. The scale used by SPSS to meet the validity and reliability The results show that 96% of respondents in the right field are in the category of achievement and 4% are in foreclosure category. While in the non-exact field there are 97% are in the category of achievement and 3% is foreclosure category. So it can be said that about 95% of respondents have good identity status, and expected to survive in an increasingly competitive conditions. This study contributes to literature of career identity status as well as other contributions described.

Abstract

Adolescence is known as the transition from childhood to adulthood. In this period, the adolescent will experience many changes related to their identities in various domains of life, including the religious domain. This study aims to investigate the profiles of religious identity status of early adolescents. A total of 116 secondary school students participated in this study. Data were collected by using the Scale of Religious Identity Status. The results showed that students’ religious identity status were distributed in four categories: achievement (66%), searching moratorium (23%), foreclosure (10%), and moratorium (1%). Implications for guidance and counseling services in secondary school are discussed to promote the development of religious identity of early adolescents.

Abstract

A teacher must have digital literacy to be able to understand of information or learning resources access such as online videos, eBook’s, recordings, audio, and digital libraries from the internet and use their features in designing learning media for learning resources used during online learning. This study aimed to analyze the digital literacy of elementary school teachers. Data were collected from 153 teachers from 44 schools in the special province of Yogyakarta. The research method uses a survey method that includes seven aspects of digital literacy: information literacy, Digital scholarship, Learning skills, ICT literacy, Career and identity management, Communication and collaboration, and media literacy. The results show that all teachers use technology in the online learning process including teachers aged 40 years. It also can be used as motivation and reference for teachers to improve digital literacy/and educational institutions carrying out of training to improve digital literacy for elementary school teachers.

Abstract

Assignment to use students worksheet as an alternative teacher to support learning during a pandemic. This training activity aims to improve the ability of teachers in compiling and developing students worksheet based on the Scientific Approach in learning. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the coordinator of the Sendangtirto Cluster Elementary School, Berbah, Sleman. This activity involved 30 elementary school teachers as participants, with a training model. Data on increasing the ability of participants was obtained through a questionnaire. Based on the data obtained, there was an increase in the assessment and ability of teachers towards the preparation and use of students  worksheet based on the scientific approach after participating in this training activity into high and very high categories. After the training, participants are able to prepare students worksheet based on a scientific approach and implement it in learning.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kompetensi profesional guru bimbingan dan konseling merupakan aspek penting yang membekali guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam memberikan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah. Salah satu kompetensi yang perlu ditingkatkan yaitu kemampuan guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam menyelenggarakan layanan konseling kelompok. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, diskusi, penugasan dan simulasi. Hasil analisis dampak pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi layanan konseling kelompok dengan analisis kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa Guru bimbingan dan konseling memiliki minat yang tinggi dalam mengikuti kegiatan. Berdasarkan analisis penugasan ditemukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam merancang layanan konseling kelompok. Hasil analisis observasi dan wawancara setelah simulasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan dalam melaksanakan layanan konseling kelompok. Hasil analisis kuesioner evaluasi berkaitan tentang penyelenggaraan pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan peserta merasa puas dan senang mengikuti pelatihan. Peserta mengharapkan adanya kegiatan lanjutan untuk memperdalam kemampuan menyelenggarakan layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Analysis of the Impact of Training for Competency Improvement in Group Counseling Services for High School Counseling Teachers in Sleman RegencyAbstract: The professional competence of guidance and counseling teachers is an important aspect that equips guidance and counseling teachers in providing guidance and counseling in schools. One of the competencies that need to be improved is the ability of guidance and counseling teachers in providing group counseling services. The methods used in this training are lectures, discussions, assignments and simulations. The results of the analysis of the impact of training on improving the competence of group counseling services with qualitative analysis indicate that guidance and counseling teachers have a high interest in participating in activities. Based on the assignment analysis, it was found that there was an increase in understanding and skills in designing group counseling services. The results of the analysis of observations and interviews after the simulation showed an increase in skills in implementing group counseling services. The results of the analysis of the evaluation questionnaire related to the implementation of the training show that the training participants were satisfied and happy to participate in the training. Participants expect further activities to deepen their ability to provide guidance and counseling services.
