Abstract

Education is one of the main pillars in the development of a country. To achieve quality and equitable education for all citizens, the acceptance of new students is very crucial. However, in practice, there are various problems that arise, especially related to injustice in access and educational opportunities. To overcome this challenge, the zoning system for accepting new students is one of the solutions introduced by many countries. This zoning concept aims to create fairness and openness in education by allocating students based on the geographical location where they live. One of the main benefits of the zoning system is educational equity. By distributing students evenly in various regions, diversity and equality will be created in the learning environment. This will help reduce social and economic disparities between regions, so that every child has the same opportunity to get access to a proper education. In addition, the zoning system also encourages inclusivity in education. By combining students from various social and cultural backgrounds, a multicultural learning environment will be formed. This can increase understanding, tolerance and mutual respect among students, thereby creating a generation that is more open and accepting of differences. However, it must be acknowledged that the implementation of the zoning system also faces its own challenges. One of the main problems is the limited capacity of schools in each region. If an area has a population of students that is more than the capacity of the existing schools, this can lead to accumulation and a decrease in the quality of education. Therefore, careful planning and management is needed so that the zoning system can run effectively. In addition, another challenge is the role of parents in supporting the implementation of the zoning system. Some parents may prefer schools in certain areas that are considered more prestigious than schools closer to where they live. This can lead to a shift in the problem from geographic disparities to social and educational inequalities. In order to overcome these obstacles, the government needs to provide adequate educational facilities and infrastructure, improve the quality of teaching staff, and involve all stakeholders in planning and evaluating the zoning system. Overall, the zoning system in accepting new students is a positive step towards a more inclusive and equitable education. By providing equal opportunities for every child to get access to quality education, the hope for a generation that is competitive and has a strong personality is increasingly real.

Abstract

Prosedur pelayanan pendidikan mewujudkan hal yang terutama yang harus diperhatikan. Dikarenakan Pendidikan sendiri menjalankan suatu bagian yang bergabung dengan menyediakan jasa. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui bagaimana perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan manajemen tata usaha dalam meningkatkan layanan akademik siswa di MAN 2 Karawang. Teknik penggumpulan data memerlukan pengamatan, tanya jawab dan pengumpulan. Adapun narasumber pada pengkajian ini yaitu kepala sekolah, kepala tata usaha, staff tata usaha dan peserta didik MAN 2 Karawang. Teknik analisis data dengan reduksi data, menyajikan data dan menarik kesimpulan. Menurut hasil penelitian: (1) perencanaan manajemen tata usaha dalam meningkatkan layanan akademik siswa seperti: pembentukkan program kerja tata usaha dalam rapat kerja tahunan yang dihadiri kepala sekolah, kepala tata usaha dan staff tata usaha. (2) pengorganisasian manajemen tata usaha dalam meningkatkan layanan akademik siswa yang terdiri dari tujuh bidang kepala arsip, operator KP KU, operator emis, Staff Tata Usaha Bagian Layanan Akademik, Staf Tata Usaha Bagian Keuangan, Staf Tata Usaha Bagian Surat Menyurat Peserta Didik, dan Staf Tata Usaha Bagian Surat Menyurat Tenaga pendidik dan Tenaga kependidikan. (3) pelaksanaan manajemen tata usaha untuk meningkatkan layanan akademik belum cukup baik, hal ini dilihat kurangnya kedisiplinan dari staff tata usaha. Selain itu, pelaksanaan manajemen tata usaha sudah sesuai dengan tahap perencanaan yang telah dirumuskan hal ini dibuktikan dengan pelaksanaan program kerja yang terlaksana dengan kebutuhan tahun ajaran baru. (4) pengawasan manajemen tata usaha untuk meningkatkan layanan akademik sudah cukup baik bisa dilihat dari hasil evaluasi yang dilaksanakan berkala dari harian hingga tahunan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation model of an integrated Islamic Religious Education (IRE) curriculum at SD Abata Islamic School Karawang. The background of this study is the need to strengthen the synergy between IRE learning and general subjects and Islamic values to support student character development. The research method used a qualitative case study approach with the main techniques of participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, involving a total of 15 informants consisting of the principal, IRE teachers, classroom teachers, curriculum coordinators, students, and parents. The results showed that the PAI curriculum integration model comprised three main components: (1) the development of learning themes that linked PAI competencies with cross-subject competencies; (2) collaboration among teachers in designing contextual and Islamic-based learning; and (3) evaluation that covered cognitive, affective, and spiritual aspects. This implementation model was carried out consistently for one semester based on a cycle of planning, implementation, and evaluation. As a result, the application of the integrated curriculum model was proven to improve students' understanding of religious values, strengthen attitudes of tolerance and discipline, and support the achievement of more holistic learning outcomes. This study recommends that schools adopt this model as a framework for developing an integrated PAI curriculum and provide ongoing training for teachers to optimize its implementation.

Abstract

The sustainability of character education has become a central issue in the era of globalization and digital transformation. Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays a crucial role in developing sustainable character grounded in spiritual awareness. This study aims to analyze the internalization of the value of ihsan as a foundation for character sustainability in Islamic education. Using a qualitative library research approach, this study examines scholarly works published between 2021–2025 related to Islamic character education, value internalization, and sustainability frameworks. The findings indicate that ihsan—understood as spiritual consciousness (muraqabah), excellence in action, and ethical benevolence—serves as a transformative moral force when internalized through habituation, role modeling, curriculum integration, and school culture. The concept of character sustainability refers to consistent moral behavior that persists beyond external supervision and adapts to global challenges. Therefore, the integration of ihsan values into Islamic education provides a holistic and sustainable character-building framework capable of strengthening students’ moral resilience in contemporary society.
