Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kualitas fisiko kimia air sungai Kaligarang dan kandungan logam berat pada ikan mas dan ikan nila yang hidup di sungai tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen lapangan, menggunakan Karamba Jaring Apung. Parameter fisiko-kimia yang diukur adalah suhu, pH, DO, alkalinitas, kesadahan, kecerahan dan kecepatan arus serta kandungan logam berat di air sungai, menggunakan metode Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). Kadar logam berat Cd, Pb dan Hg juga dianalisis pada ikan mas dan ikan nila Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu, pH, DO, alkalinitas, kesadahan, kecerahan dan kecepatan arus masih berada dalam kisaran yang layak bagi kehidupan ikan. Kadar Cd, Pb dan Hg di perairan masing-masing adalah sebesar 0,006 mg/L, 0,01 mg/L dan 0,0006 mg/L. Kadar Cd, Pb dan Hg pada hati ikan nila berturut-turut 0,000407 mg/kg, 0,000812 mg/kg dan 0,000575 mg/kg, sedangkan pada ikan mas 0,000307 mg/kg, 0,000269 mg/kg dan 0,000349 mg/kg. Kesimpulan; air sungai Kaligarang terkontaminasi logam berat Cd, Pb dan Hg dan ikan yang hidup di sungai tersebut telah mengakumulasikan ketiga logam berat tadi.The aim of this study is to determine the quality of water in Kaligarang based on the physicochemical characteristics and heavy metal content in carp and tilapia fish live in the river. This study is a field experiment, by using Karamba floating net; the fish were caught and maintained. The physicochemical parameters of the water measured were temperature, pH, oxygen, alkalinity, hardness and brightness, speed of the flow and content of heavy metals. The heavy metal content was measured using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). Levels of heavy metals (Cd, Pb and Hg) were also analyzed in carp and tilapia. The results showed that temperature, pH, oxygen, alkalinity, hardness, brightness and speed of the flow were still within the appropriate range for the life of the fish. Levels of Cd, Pb and Hg in water were amounted to 0.006 mg/L, 0.01 mg/L and 0.0006 mg/L, respectively. Surprisingly, the levels of Cd, Pb and Hg in liver of tilapia were 0.000407 mg/kg, 0.000812 mg/kg and 0.000575 mg/kg, respectively, whereas in carp were 0.000307 mg/kg, 0.000269 mg/kg and 0.000349 mg/kg, respectively. It can be concluded that, Kaligarang River was contaminated with heavy metals Cd, Pb and Hg. This contamination leads to the accumulation of heavy metals in fish that live in the river.

Abstract

Natural Science is the study of the phenomenon that occurs in the student environment. Directly oriented learning in the student environment makes learning meaningful because students can see the real object being studied. Based on the observations in SMP Negeri 5 Pekalongan, learning activity has not utilized the environment as a learning source. Whereas the location of the school near the appropriate learning sources to study environmental pollution material. Student learning outcomes are less than optimal and students tend to be passive. Therefore, variations are made in the learning by utilizing the Kalibanger River as a source of learning environmental about environment pollution. The method used in this research is quasi experimental design type nonequivalent control group design. Determination of the sample is done by purposive sampling technique and used as experimental class is class VII F and control class is class VII D. Student retrieval data using test instrument, while student activity is taken from observation sheet and questionnaire. Learning result data obtained by posttest value is higher than pretest. Increased learning results occur due to learning activities undertaken by students. Recapitulation of experimental class student activity is 87,9% which belong to very active criteria. Based on the results of t-test calculation obtained t-count = 3.323> 2.040 so H1 accepted, it can be concluded learning Kalibanger river utilization as a source of learning about environmental pollution can increase the activity and learning outcomes of students of SMP Negeri 5 Pekalongan.

Abstract

Laboratory activities and environment utilization around Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Salafiyah Pati Central Java has not been done completely in biology learning.  As a result, student learning outcomes are less than optimal. The problem is predicted by Window Shopping (WS) learning model and the surrounding nature roaming approach (JAS) as an alternative learning. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of WS learning model and JAS approach on ecosystem material in MA Salafiyah Pati Central of Java. This type of research is Quasy Experimental using Pretest-Postetst Design. The population was nine class of X. The sampling was XE class (control), XF (WS accompanied by JAS), and XG (JAS). Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. The research variables are cognitive learning outcomes, affectiveand psychomotor. Class of WS and JAS of  N-gain is high category, the highest grade average grade and  percentage of classical completeness higest. All classes get affective and psychomotor value with very good criteria. Based on these result can be concluded that use of learning models WS and JAS on ecosystem materials in MA Salafiyah Pati Central of Java effectively improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Keterampilan dan aktivitas siswa dapat dibentuk dari pembelajaran dengan pendekatan scientific atau Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS), yang meliputi mengamati, menanya dan merumuskan masalah, merumuskan hipotesis, merancang eksperimen, melaksanakan eksperimen, mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data, menarik simpulan, serta menyajikan hasil kerjanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrument penilaian proses pembelajaran IPA yang layak dan efektif digunakan untuk mengukur KPS dan aktivitas siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 15 Tegal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R and D dengan desain penelitian one shot case study. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan metode observasi, dokumentasi, angket, dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengukuran KPS dan aktivitas pada pembelajaran pengaruh kepadatan populasi manusia terhadap lingkungan pada kelas VII A dan VII B secara berturut-turut adalah 80.17; 89.73; 81.58; dan 89.25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian proses pembelajaran IPA telah valid dan reliable sehingga layak digunakan untukmengukur KPS dan aktivitas siswa SMP kelas VII. Students' skills and activities can be shaped from learning with a scientific approach or Skills Process Sciences, which includes observing, questioning and formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, designing experiments, conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and presenting their work. This study aims to produce an appropriate and effective assessment instrument of IPA learning process used to measure Science Process Skill and student activities. The study was conducted at SMP N 15 Tegal. This research is R and D research with one shot case study design study. Research data obtained by observation method, documentation, questionnaire, and test. The results showed that Science Process Skill measurement and activity on learning influence of human population density on environment in class VII A and VII B were 80.17; 89.73; 81.58; And 89.25. The results showed that the instrument of assessment of the learning process of IPA has been valid and reliable so it is feasible to be used to measure PPP and the activity of junior high school students of class VII.

Abstract

Handout materials are materials that are Concise and complete. One the innovations of the handout was a handout discovery model of curriculum corresponding to 2013. This research aims to Identify a) species richness of Spermatophyta plants in Paseban parks Bangkalan to develop discovery model on the material handout, b) to test the validity of the handout models of plant discovery Plantae Spermatophyta on learning, c) to test the effectiveness of the handout model of discovery of plant Spermatophyta, d) to test the response of students and teachers against the handout models of plant Spermatophyta discovery. Method development using the method of ADDIE. Results of the study include a) 28 species that comprise the family Cannaceae, Liliaceae, Acanthaceae, Rubiaceae, Agaveaceae, Rubiaceae, Apocynaceae, Palma, Fabeacae, Nygtaginaceae, euphorbiaceae, Cydaceaae, Gnetaceae, Pinaceae and. b) The validity of expert material and expert media an average of  94.92% with very valid criteria c) Effectiveness handouts based on test results of t-test results Showed significant 0:04 Becauseρ value < α 0:05. The experiment has been completed on the class 100%. The percentage of the value of the excellent category of affective on classroom control 85.51% and 90.23% in class experiments. The percentage of psychomotor categories very well at 79.08% control classes and experiments 86.19%, Thus it can be stated that giving a handout models Effectively discovery. d) Response use the handout model of discovery of 95.66% included in the category of very decent.

Abstract

The application of 2013 curriculum had teacher to do scientific oriented learning. In fact, scientific oriented learning has not been applied fully in real life. Some obstacle factors are the lack of facility and teacher preparation. This research aims for: (1) analyzing  facilities of biology laboratory and school environment, (2) analyzing the utilization of biology laboratory, (3) analyzing the utilization of school environment as learning source of biology subject for first semester of tenth grade students of senior high school. This is a descriptive qualitative research done in seven senior high schools in Jepara Regency. The subjects of this research are tenth grade biology teachers, tenth grade science major students, and vice headmaster (facility division). Data tabulation uses observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation. Data triangulation uses source and method triangulation. Data analysis uses descriptive. Analysis result provides: 1) the laboratory facility in seven senior high schools in Jepara Regency can be included in “good: category even though  it does not fill all the standardization of Permendiknas Number 24, 2007; facility of school environment is in below good category, 2) the utilization of laboratory in biology learning for tenth grade in first semester is in good enough category, 3) the utilization of school environment in biology learning for tenth grade in first semester is in good category. Some factors that influence categories are management of facility, lesson plan made by teachers, teacher understanding about biology material in scientific approach, teachers and students customary to scientific approach, and time allocation.

Abstract

Booklet research-based is a teaching material which contains an important information followed by the condition of pictures around students’ environment as like teaching material which is expected by curriculum 2013. This study aims at identifying insect diversity on solanaceae plants in Wirapanjunan-Kandanghaur as a supplement of biology teaching material in high school and analyzing the worthiness of booklet itself. The method of this research used a development which is adopted from ADDIE instructional model The data were taken from a field research about insect diversity on solanaceae plants and booklet worthiness data by the experts of media and content of material, effectiveness booklet viewed from the N-gain students, and the response teacher and students. The result of this study showed that the index of insect diversity on solanaceae plants based on the equality of Shanon-Wiener was obtained 0.30 which showed low level of insect diversity. It was concluded that booklet research-based in insect diversity on solanaceae plants was worthy as a supplement of biology teaching material in high school because it obtained 93.30% which including of very valid criteria given by the experts, students' cognitive learning outcomes were seen from the N-gain score of an average of 0.68 'medium' criteria and obtained the positive response from teacher and student with score of 86.79%  which including of very worthy. This research is useful for identifying insect diversity which was potentially as the resources of learning biology.

Abstract

Biosorption is a new waste treatment technology that can eliminate toxic heavy metals. Biosorption can be considered as an environmentally friendly alternative technology to treat industrial liquid waste that is economically proper to use. One of them is biosorption that utilizes the microorganisms’ absorption ability, especially bacteria that can absorb heavy metals in waters, such as Enterobacter agglomerans. This research aimed to determine the ability of E. agglomerans in reducing heavy metals pollution in local river. The research employed the measurement of the effect of lead (Pb) to E. agglomerans growth using Optical Density (OD) at wavelength 600 nm. The colony numbers were calculated using a standard curve. While the ability of E. agglomerans to reduce heavy metals concentration in liquid media was measured using AAS with a wavelength of 240 nm. The results showed that lead affected the growth of E. agglomerans. The OD value has a negative relationship with the concentration level of Pb. The ODs were decreased from 2.867 to 1.242, using Pb level from 0 ppm to 20 ppm. Therefore, it proved that E. agglomerans could reduce heavy metals concentration in local river in Central Java Province. This research was the first report on E. agglomerans activity on heavy metal in contaminated water. This result can be used as a reference for industrial sites near the river to treat their wastewater before discharging it to the river body to preserve its water purity.

Abstract

Kimia merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan sehari- hari, dari segi lingkungan teknologi, maupun masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan modul pembelajaran kimia bervisi SETS berorientasi CEP pada materi larutan asam basa yang layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar, minat wirausaha, dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Uji coba kelayakan produk pada penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MA Mu’allimin Mu’allimat dengan model penelitian one group pre-test and post-test design dan di MAN Rembang dengan model penelitian pre-test and post-test control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan metode validasi, observasi, dokumentasi, tes, dan skala Likert. Hasil validasi ahli materi, ahli media, dan praktisi menunjukkan bahwa modul pembelajaran kimia bervisi SETS berorientasi CEP sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran kimia dengan skor ratarata pada aspek kegrafikan 95,00, aspek penyajian 95,33, aspek kebahasaan 95,00, dan aspek kegrafikan 94,44. Hasil uji coba modul di MA Mu’allimin Mu’allimat menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi 20%, minat wirausaha 25%, dan hasil belajar siswa 79%. Uji coba modul di MAN Rembang peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa, minat wirausaha, dan hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 27%, 17% dan 66%, sedangkan peningkatan kelas kontrol secara berturutturut 0,4%, 11%, dan 24%.Chemistryis one of the subjects related to everyday life, in terms of environmental technology, and society. The purpose of this research is to produce visionary chemistry learning modules SETS with CEP oriented on acid-base materials which properly and effectively use in learning to improve learning motivation, entrepreneurial interest, and student learning outcomes. This research is development reaserch. Testing the product viability on the research carried out in MA Mu'allimin Mu'allimat with research model are one group pre-test and post-test design and in MAN Rembang with pre-test and post-test control group design. Data obtained by the validation, observation, documentation, testing, and Likert scale method. Validation results or matter experts, media experts, and practitioners shows that the chemistry learning modules with SETS vision and CEP oriented very fit for using in teaching chemistry with an average score on the graphical aspect 95.00, presentation aspects 95.33, linguistic aspects of 95.00, and graphical aspects 94.44. The module trial results in MA Mu'allimin Mu'allimat showed the increase of motivation 20%, interest in self-employment 25%, and student learning outcomes 79%. Module test in MAN Rembang increased the student motivation, entrepreneurial interest, and student learning outcomes in experimental class by 27%, 17% and 66%, whereas the increase in the control class, respectively 0.4%, 11% and 24%.

Abstract

Abstrak. Mangrove merupakan hyperaccumulator yang baik, mangrove bukan saja mampu tumbuh di tanah dengan konsentrasi unsur beracun yang tinggi, tetapi juga mampu mengakumulasi unsur tersebut di dalam batang dan daun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji bioakumulasi logam berat Cu pada Avicennia marina di wilayah Tapak Semarang. Penelitian dilakukan di Wilayah Tapak Kota Semarang, obyek penelitian merupakan kawan eksosistem mangrove yang berada pada wilayah pertambakan bandeng. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan ekologi (ecological approach). Data bioakumulasi dan translokasi logam berat dalam tanaman, sedimen dan air dianalisis berdasarkan rumus yang ada. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya logam Cu di air (0,0069 mg/l), sedimen (26,7637,889 mg/Kg), akar (2,336-7,997 mg/Kg), daun muda (2,367-6,604 mg/Kg) dan daun tua (1,08-6,748 mg/Kg) Avicennia marina. Sedimen mempunyai nilai tertinggi dalam mengakumulasi logam Cu dari air dengan Faktor Konsentrasi (3878,26 - 5491,16). Bio Concentration Factor (BCF) akar dan sedimen 0,090,211, dan Translocation Factors (TF) untuk daun muda (0,83-1,54), daun tua (0,46-0,94). Diperoleh hasil adanya tren kenaikan konsentrasi logam Cu tambak yang mengarah ke laut. Simpulan penelitian terdapat akumulasi logam Cu pada sedimen, akar dan daun Avicennia marina di wilayah tambak Tapak, Tugurejo Semarang. Sedimen tambak mempunyai kemampuan tertinggi dalam mengakumulasi logam Cu dari lingkungannya.
