Abstract

Pasir Pengaraian General Hospital found problems such as the absence of a screening test, the lack of application of the 5M health protocol to the community, and smoking behavior. Handling patients during this pandemic by paying attention to aspects of personnel, handling flow, facilities and infrastructure as well as financing. The availability of personnel in the ER at the Pasir Pengaraian Hospital in 2021 is still lacking in the Midwifery staff, which amounts to 2 people with a total of 39 personnel in the ER. This affects employee performance. Because health workers have additional duties as well as being a special team for handling Covid-19 patients and the flow of treatment has not yet carried out screening, the facilities and infrastructure at the Emergency Room of RSUD Pasir Pengaraian consist of oxygen cylinders, HFNC, medicines, and financing. ER patients both positive and negative for Covid-19 both in budget but because they get a budget from the Ministry of Health, APBD and BLUD so the priority needs are limited, because the special Covid-19 budget is prioritized such as PPE, Oxygen and HFNC, Medicines.

Abstract

Background: The implementation of hospital information systems is expected to improve employee performance, particularly among doctors as key users. Previous studies have shown that the effectiveness of such systems can positively influence individual performance. Purpose: To analyze of Mental Health and Performance of Doctors Using the Hospital Information System (HIS). Method: This quantitative study used a total sampling technique involving 41 doctors at PRIMA Hospital Pekanbaru. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to assess the influence of various factors on doctors’ performance in using HMIS. The independent variables included knowledge, attitude, experience, doctors’ perception, ease of use, system security and reliability, feature–need suitability, data quality and accessibility, hospital policy, training and supervision support, as well as incentives and performance evaluation. Results: The analysis revealed that only the doctors’ perception variable had a statistically significant effect on doctors' performance (p = 0.010 < 0.05). Other variables including knowledge, attitude, experience, ease of use, system security, hospital policies, training, and incentives showed no significant influence (p > 0.05). Conclusion: Doctors’ perception of HMIS is a key factor in enhancing their performance in using the system. To optimize HMIS implementation, hospitals should focus on improving doctors’ understanding and acceptance through strategies such as targeted education and socialization, simplifying and customizing system features, enhancing system speed and interface, and offering performance-based incentives for HMIS utilization. Abstract

Hospital Management Information Sistem (HMIS) aims to enhance operational efficiency and healthcare service quality through the integration of patient data, electronic medical records, and resource management. However, its implementation in many hospitals is still hindered by infrastructure limitations, human resource readiness, and sistem interoperability, preventing optimal functionality. Strengthening policies, enhancing human resource capacity, and technological support are essential for effective HMIS implementation. This study aims to develop a structural model of HMIS based on the HOT-fit framework. A quantitative research approach with a cross-sectional design was employed. The study population comprised professionals (doctors, nurses, administrative staff) whose involvement with HMIS met the inclusion criteria, totaling 56 participants. The questionnaire used was validated for reliability and validity. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS4 for students. The results indicate that service and technology quality significantly impact HMIS effectiveness, providing a basis for hospital management to improve human resource training and technological investment. The HOT-fit framework integrates Human, Organization, and Technology elements to assess the alignment of information sistems with organizational needs. Indirect effects were found, showing that the relationship between human and organizational factors on benefits is mediated by technology. The structural model of HMIS, based on the HOT-fit framework, achieved an SRMR value of 0.073 (<0.08), indicating a good model fit. The study concludes that the structural model of HMIS based on the HOT-fit framework provides a validated approach to improving sistem implementation in hospitals. Future research could focus on evaluating this model across various hospital settings to ensure broader applicability
