Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of workload and work environment on employee turnover intention at PT. XYZ. High turnover intentions can disrupt workforce stability and result in significant costs for the company. Two factors often associated with turnover intention are workload and work environment. Excessive workload can cause stress and fatigue, while an unsupportive work environment can reduce employee satisfaction and commitment. The study uses a quantitative approach, distributing questionnaires to 107 employees and sampling using the saturated sample method. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS software. The hypothesis test tested the influence of workload and work environment on employee turnover intention. The results showed that workload variable (X1) is in the high category, work environment variable (X2) is in the bad category, and turnover intention (Y) is in the medium category. Quantitative data analysis with SEM-PLS showed that workload variables do not have a significant influence on turnover intention, while work environment variables have a significant influence. The research aims to evaluate company management's attention to workload and work environment conditions, with one variable showing a significant positive influence on employee turnover intention

Abstract

This study aims to analyze leadership, work motivation, work environment and employee performance at XYZ Resto; to analyze the influence of leadership, work motivation and employee work environment on employee performance. This study uses quantitative methods with a descriptive and verification approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by distributing questionnaires, which must be tested for validity and reliability. The population in this study were employees at all XYZ Resto branches, totaling 250 people, where the sample was taken as much as 40% to 100 people. This study uses path analysis as a data analysis tool. The hypothesis is that leadership, work motivation and work environment have a significant effect on employee performance at XYZ Resto. Based on the research findings, it was found that the influence of the three variables of Leadership, Motivation and Work Environment simultaneously on the Employee Performance variable is 62.5%. While 37.5% is influenced by other variables outside those studied.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine employee engagement, employee performance, and financial performance at BNI, as well as to determine the influence of employee engagement on employee performance and financial performance, both partially and simultaneously. This is a quantitative study with verification approach. The research instrument used is a questionnaire employing a Likert scale. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) to test the relationships between latent variables. The PLS method was chosen due to its ability to analyze data with a moderate sample size and without requiring the assumption of data normality. Based on a literature review and preliminary survey results, this study proposes three hypotheses: first, there is a relationship between the level of employee engagement and employee performance at BNI; second, employee performance influences company performance; and third, employee engagement affects company performance.

Abstract

Background: This study aims to find out an overview of employee training, competencies, and performance at the XYZ Health Foundation. In addition, this study aims to determine the influence of each variable that can affect Employee Performance at the XYZ Health Foundation, namely training and competence. Research sample The sample to be taken in this study includes male and female employees at the XYZ Health Foundation with a total of 106 employees using purposive sampling techniques. Method: The analysis method used is a quantitative method with descriptive and verifiable/causative analysis. The instrument test was carried out with a validity test consisting of convergent validity and discriminant validity. In addition, a reliability test was carried out using a composite reliability approach. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach which will be processed with the help of Smart PLS 4.0 software. Results and Conclusions:The results of the study show that training has a positive influence on employee performance and competence also has a significant effect on employee performance. Training and competency simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance at the XYZ Health Foundation. Effective training is able to support competency development, which ultimately contributes to improving overall employee performance.

Abstract

Employee engagement is a critical factor in managing human resources in the healthcare sector. Low engagement may reduce job satisfaction and increase turnover intention, affecting service quality and organizational stability. At PT XYZ, internal data show declining engagement and rising turnover intention in the past two years. This study aims to examine the effect of employee engagement on turnover intention, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative survey method, data from 131 permanent employees were analyzed with PLS-SEM. The expected result is that employee engagement negatively affects turnover intention, with job satisfaction mediating this relationship. Findings are expected to support policies to improve employee retention and satisfaction in healthcare services.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of flexible work arrangements on productivity in start-up companies located in Bandung Techno Park, using work-life balance as a mediating variable. With a sample size of 168 start-up company members in Bandung Techno Park (BTP), this study uses a probability sampling technique. This study uses quantitative research techniques and structural equal modeling (SEM) based on partial least squares (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. Based on the results of the study, work-life balance and increased productivity are greatly enhanced by flexible work arrangements. The mediating variable of work-life balance acts as a mediator between productivity and flexible work schedules. The findings of this study can be a guide for business management who want to increase the productivity of start-up companies through work arrangement solutions that support work-life balance.

Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) Unit Pelaksana Transmisi Cirebon is a PLN Unit tasked with maintaining the operational reliability of High Voltage and Extra High Voltage electrical equipment in the West Java region. The company has an duty to transmit 100% of the power produced from power plants to customers. The situation observed over the last five assessment periods reveals that the number of the employee’s work productivity has been highly fluctuating. Employee’s work productivity is influenced by several factors, one of which is employee engagement. The 2023 Employee Engagement survey results indicate that Work Engagement has reached 88.93% of the 88% target. However, certain dimensions have not met the target, namely the Work Conditions dimension (85.84%), which includes two factors: workload and physical work environment. The workforce at PT PLN (Persero) UPT Cirebon is still understaffed (96.8%), leading to frequent and prolonged overtime work. The Physical Work Environment at PLN UPT Cirebon is also not entirely satisfactory due to malfunctioning work facilities and equipment. This research aims to determine the influence of Workload and Physical Work Environment on Employee Engagement and its implications for Employee’s Work Productivity at PT PLN (Persero) Unit Pelaksana Transmisi Cirebon. This study employs a quantitative method with a descriptive research type. The research respondents consist of 219 employees of PT PLN (Persero) UPT Cirebon, utilizing non-probability sampling with saturated sampling. The processed data will be analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques with SEM-PLS. This research hypothesizes that Workload and Physical Work Environment simultaneously have a significant influence on Employee Productivity through Employee Engagement as an intervening variable at PLN UPT Cirebon. The research results indicate that the Physical Work Environment has a positive and significant influence on both Employee Engagement and Employee’s Work Productivity. Similarly, Employee Engagement was found to have a positive and significant influence on Employee’s Work Productivity. However, Workload did not show a significant influence on either Employee Engagement or Employee’s Work Productivity, whether directly or through the intervening variable. A coefficient of determination value of 0.631 indicates that 63.1% of employee productivity is explained by these three variables, while the remainder is influenced by other factors. This research has limitations in its scope of the variables considered. Therefore, further research is recommended to explore other variables such as leadership style, work-life balance, organizational culture, or to conduct qualitative studies to gain a deeper understanding of the phenomena.
