Abstract

Penelitian ini berdasarkan pada masalah yang ditemukan ketika peneliti mengadakan observasi di SMP Negeri 3 Tondano dimana kemampuan peserta didik mengerjakan soal-soal matematika berkategori HOTS masih kurang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan peserta didik mengerjakan soal-soal matematika berkategori HOTS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental, dengan desain penelitian The Nonequivalent Post-test Only Control Group Design. Sampel diambil dari 2 kelas yang normal dan homogen yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah berturut-turut 26 dan 26 siswa. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik uji-t dan memperlihatkan bahwa nilai  = 7.180  >  =1.684 dengan taraf nyata α = 0.05 ini berarti tolak  dan terima . Sehingga, penggunaan model Discovery Learning  dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa mengerjakan soal-soal matematika berkategori HOTS.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran two stay two stray dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa khususnya pada materi Operasi Aljabar. Desain eksperimen jenis posstest yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan simple random sampling (teknik acak sederhana). Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIC sebagai kelas eksperimen yang terdiri dari 24 siswa dan siswa kelas VII A  sebagai kelas kontrol yang terdiri dari 23 siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Kakas. Data diperoleh dari hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen 80.04 dan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol 59.22. Uji normalitas data terpenuhi sehingga data-data tersebut berdistribusi normal. Pada hasil analisis data dengan  taraf  nyata 0.05 diperoleh . sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata  hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran two stay two stray  lebih dari rata-rata hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung sehingga baik diterapkan pada proses kegiatan belajar mengajar.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of observations found in the pandemic era, namely that there are still many educators who have difficulty in carrying out the teaching and learning process, which is caused by the limited face-to-face learning process where some learning is done online, thus making educators have to be careful in choosing learning models. to increase students' willingness to learn. This study aims to examine whether the learning outcomes of students who are taught using the Blended Learning model are higher than the learning outcomes of students who are taught using direct learning on algebraic forms of material. This research is in the form of an experiment with a quasi-experimental type and the design used in this study is the Posttest Only Control Group Design. The sample is part of the population. The sample of this study was taken 2 classes randomly, namely class VII B as the experimental class applied the Blended Learning model and class VII A as the control class using direct learning. The results of the study were analyzed using a t-test with a significance level of 0.05 is indicated by the calculated 7.191967906 > Ttable=2.009575237 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Blended Learning model affects student learning outcomes in algebraic forms of material.

Abstract

Kemampuan siswa Indonesia dalam memecahkan masalah matematik belum optimal sehingga perlu upaya perbaikan dengan mengoptimalkan tersedianya soal pemecahan masalah yang dapat merangsang siswa untuk berpikir matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan soal pemecahan masalah siswa SMP dengan menggunakan pendekatan PMRI yang valid dan praktis. Metode penelitian pengembangan dipilih sebagai metode untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut. Prosedur penelitian dilakukan dengan dua tahapan yaitu tahap preliminary dan tahap formative evaluation. Selain itu, Siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tondano diambil sebagai subjek pada penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan walk through. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah prototipe sebanyak 5 soal dari 5 materi (PLDV, Perbandingan, Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar, Lingkaran dan Peluang) yang valid dan praktis. Kevalidan diperoleh berdasarkan validasi ahli, sedangkan kepraktisan didasarkan pada fakta bahwa prototipe soal yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan dengan baik oleh siswa, Selain itu, prototipe soal yang dikembangkan memiliki efek potensial untuk meningkatkan berpikir matematis siswa serta memacu semangat belajar siswa. Hal ini terlihat bahwa terdapat 80,1% siswa yang menggunakan berbagai strategi pemecahan masalah dalam menyelesaikan prototipe soal yang ada.The ability of Indonesian students in solving mathematical problems is not optimal, so it needs improvement efforts by optimizing the availability of problem-solving problems that can stimulate students to think mathematically. This study aims to produce problem-solving problems for junior high school students using a valid and practical PMRI approach. The development research method was chosen as the method to achieve this goal. The research procedure was carried out in two stages, namely the preliminary stage and the formative evaluation stage. In addition, grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Tondano were taken as subjects in this study. Data collection techniques were carried out using test, interview, documentation, and walk-through techniques. The results obtained are prototypes of 5 questions from 5 materials (PLDV, Comparison, Construct Flat Side Space, Circles and Opportunities) that are valid and practical. Validity is obtained based on expert validation, while practicality is since the prototype of the questions developed can be used properly by students, In addition, the prototype questions developed have the potential effect to improve students' mathematical thinking and stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning. There are 80.1% of students who use various problem-solving strategies in solving the existing prototype questions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mistakes of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Tondano in solving questions on the Algebraic Forms material in the bold and alluring learning process. The errors referred to here may occur in solving Algebra Form problems, including principle and concept errors. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through tests, interviews, and documentation. The sources and subjects of this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Tondano T/A 2020/2021 and T/A 2022/2023, who were selected based on considerations. Data analysis techniques in this study are the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the mistakes made by students are: 1) conceptual errors, where they cannot identify elements in the algebraic form, such as terms, variables, coefficients, and constants. 2) the principle of error, where it is wrong to operate algebraic forms that have negative terms, and errors in determining operations on terms that are not similar. The causal factors in brave learning are: 1) working on questions in a hurry; 2) do not understand the concept in Algebraic Forms; 3) do not know how to operate tribes that are not of the same type; 4) do not know the correct settlement calculation operating procedure; 5) not careful in working on the questions; 6) ambient distractions that make it out of focus. The causal factors in engaging learning are: 1) Class conditions are not conducive; 2) decreased student discipline.

Abstract

This study aims intended to describe the difficulties of online learning in mathematics for class IX students of SMP Negeri 9 Satap Langowan. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with a sample of class IX students with a total of students 22 and 1 teacher of mathematics in class IX. There are 3 data collection techniques used by researchers, namely: first, interviews with class IX mathematics teachers. Second, a questionnaire filled out by class IX students and thirdly documentation related to research images. Data analysis in this study is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Through observations made, students and teachers experienced difficulties when learning online, there are two kinds of difficulties that are found, namely the general difficulties experienced by schools and teachers is that there is no readiness from teachers when facing online learning because all learning from conventional changes to modern. These changes completely changed both the concept, the strategy method and even the assessment from the teacher to the students. There are also students who have difficulty understanding mathematics learning given by the teacher through the WhatsApp Group application

Abstract

Students' information gathering is heavily reliant on their learning styles. Mathematical education calls for a deeper examination of methodological variations. This study examines the correlation between students' learning styles and their ability to solve math word problems involving a system of two-variable linear equations. The method employed is a qualitative, descriptive research method. The instruments utilized are student aptitude and learning style assessments. Data analysis methods include data collection, data reduction, and data interpretation. The findings included that the visual and auditory subjects completed only three of the five questions they deemed simple. Comparatively, kinesthetic subjects were able to answer four questions. When reexamining the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic subjects, the obtained answers are not rechecked. By concluding the solution process, visual and kinesthetic subjects exhibit similarities. In the final phase, the auditory subject neither concludes nor responds to the initial questions.

Abstract

Matematika sangat penting bagi setiap manusia karena berkaitan erat dengan masalah-masalah yang muncul dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, siswa percaya matematika hanyalah mata pelajaran akademis tanpa aplikasi dunia nyata. Artikel ini membahas tentang capaian pelaksanaan program kemitraan masyarakat bagi anak putus sekolah di Kecamatan Bilalang Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow dengan menggunakan metodologi Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI). Metode komitmen terdiri dari 1) Desain, 2) Implementasi, dan 3) Evaluasi Hasil. Menggunakan teknik desain awal, eksperimen pengajaran, dan analisis retrospektif, layanan ini juga mengembangkan materi pendidikan untuk anak putus sekolah. (1) Mitra memiliki pemahaman tentang filosofi dan karakteristik pembelajaran PMRI; (2) ketersediaan bahan ajar untuk anak putus sekolah berbasis pembelajaran PMRI; dan (3) tersedianya media/software yang dapat memvisualisasikan konsep matematika sehari-hari.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Modayag Barat dipaparkan pada materi SPDV dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif terhadap TAI. Kedua kelompok dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen yang dipilih tanpa menggunakan seleksi acak. Untuk mengetahui kondisi baseline dan tingkat pemahaman materi SPLDV serta baseline kemampuan matematika, dilakukan pretest pada kedua kelompok. Siswa kelas VIII A dan VIII B menjadi sampel penelitian sebanyak 40 siswa. Tes adalah instrumen yang digunakan. Statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial digunakan dalam proses analisis data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 34, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 32,9. Pada kelas eksperimen rata-rata hasil belajar setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI sebesar 82,3, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol rata-rata hasil belajar setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran ekspositori sebesar 75,1. H0 Ditolak dapat disimpulkan dari temuan analisis inferensial bahwa thitung > ttabel (2,4 > 1,70). Akibatnya terdapat kesenjangan antara hasil belajar matematika materi SPLDV siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif terhadap TAI dengan yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran ekspositori. Studi ini menunjukkan bagaimana teknik pembelajaran kooperatif seperti TAI dapat meningkatkan kinerja akademik siswa secara signifikan.

Abstract

This study examined the average student mathematics learning outcomes when the Blended Learning Model was applied to learning integer material. The study design used was: Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study was all of class VII at SMP Negeri 6 Tondano. In contrast, the samples in this study were class VII B, with 21 students as the experimental class and class VII A as the control class with 21 students. This study's analysis showed that the experimental class's average posttest score was 84,76, while the average posttest score for the control class was 74,28. The study results were analyzed using the T-test statistic at s significant level of 0,05, namely Tcount = 3,636 > Ttable = 1,725, so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The Blended Learning Model can improve student learning outcomes based on these results.
