Abstract

Abstract

An information system is a series of components that work together with each other to collect, process, store, and disseminate information to support decision making, coordination, and control of an organization. CV Stark Engineering Indonesia is a company that distributes hot runner spare parts (plastic molding machines) which has been established since 2018. Every day this company carries out quite large transaction activities. However, so far, the recording of sales and purchase transactions is still done manually using Word and Excel applications. This then often becomes a problem due to the recording of Purchase Order (PO) numbers being duplicated between each other.

Abstract

Simulation is a method for evaluating model behavior in various situations that allow decision making. This simulation requires the development of a model that represents the system. Therefore, the simulation will act as a system operation. After carrying out model simulations, the real impact of each alternative and action will be identified. Discrete simulation models the operation of a system as a series of discrete events in time. Each event occurs at a specific time and marks a change in state in the system. Due to changes in the system, this simulation will prevent failures without disrupting the actual system. The results of verification and validation obtained 3 replications with an average replication time in real time, namely 19.33 minutes and in ProModel software, namely 9.65 minutes. Based on the confidence interval, the output results obtained in the ProModel simulation are with the interval [5.888 ≤ μ1 – μ2 ≤ 13.478], because the value 0 is not within the range μ1 – μ2 so it can be said that the data obtained is invalid. This means that there is a difference between the time in the real system and the simulation output results with the Promodel software. Because the results obtained are not yet valid, the simulation output cannot be applied to real service system processes at Coffee X. Suggestions for further research are to be more careful in inputting data and re-checking it, so that the simulation output obtained will be valid so that it can be applied to real situations.

Abstract

Poverty is a multidimensional issue that describes the condition of lack of opportunity, low ability, low level of security, and low capacity. In Indonesia, poverty is still a major problem that has not been resolved. The condition of an archipelagic country is a challenge in achieving equitable prosperity. Therefore, this study aims to map 38 provinces in Indonesia according to the results of DBSCAN clustering based on the analysis of the influence of human resource quality, infrastructure availability, and economic growth. Mapping of poor and non-poor provinces in Indonesia was carried out using the Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (dbscan) cluster method which utilizes secondary data from BPS in the education, health, employment, etc. sectors. The results of the study showed that regional poverty mapping was divided into two clusters, namely 17 poor cluster provinces and 21 non-poor cluster provinces with a cluster evaluation value of 0.645 (fair cluster). Based on the analysis of the influence of poverty factors, 17 poor provinces are influenced by the high percentage of the population who have not attended school until the age of 15 years which is caused by the lack of educational infrastructure and the mindset of local communities who are less concerned about education and low infrastructure can hinder the economic growth of GRDP, resulting in inflation being difficult to control. Based on these conditions, the government has an important role in providing infrastructure in various sectors and the need for socialization of higher education to parents and students to ensure a decent life in the long term. Thus, it can be concluded that poverty in Indonesia can be resolved if the community cares about higher education and the government provides adequate and quality infrastructure in various sectors. It is hoped that the first point of the 2030 SDGs target can be completed.

Abstract

Abstract

BPR XYZ is a banking company engaged in savings, deposit, and loan services. In providing services to customers, its employees follow service standards established by the company. However, in reality, there are still many complaints from customers. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the quality of the services provided to determine whether they meet customer expectations and identify areas for improvement. This must be addressed immediately if the company wishes to remain competitive. This study will use the Service Quality (Servqual) method to address the issues faced. The Servqual method is used to measure the quality of service based on attributes of each dimension, resulting in a gap value that indicates the difference between consumer perceptions of the services received and their expectations of what should be received. This study evaluates 21 attributes, covering both service and product attributes offered. The results show that 12 attributes exceed customer expectations, including strategic location, availability of queue numbers, appropriate operating hours, clear and easy-to-understand information, assistance from officers when customers face issues, trustworthiness, the bank’s ability to ensure customer data security, confidentiality of customer data, non-discrimination, and understanding of customer needs. However, there are still 9 attributes below customer expectations, including the comfort of the waiting room, sufficient parking area, ease of transactions, reliability in resolving customer issues, waiting time, service speed, responsiveness to customer complaints, politeness in service, and the overall impression given to customers by the service provided.
