Abstract

Coastal areas are areas that have abundant marine potential. One of the potentials is the large number of marine products that can be used, such as shellfish and fish. With so many natural products being used, such as shellfish, this has resulted in a buildup of shellfish waste. The waste in coastal areas does not only come from shells, but also a lot of it comes from household waste such as plastic waste from detergent packaging. Seeing this, all the IAIN Metro Real Work Lecture (KKN) students carrying out community service in Muara Gading Mas Village were inspired to utilize this waste into more useful products. By working together with SD Negeri 05 Muara Gading Mas Village, community service students carried out training activities on the use of shell waste and detergent packaging to make flower pots and pencil boxes with class VI students. The aim is to provide education to class VI students to help reduce the accumulation of waste by utilizing waste shells and detergent packaging into products that can be used and become economical goods. The methods used include delivering material in the form of presentations, demonstrations, and assistance in making products. This activity was successfully carried out due to the support and enthusiasm of the students in learning and understanding the material presented.

Abstract

Isu gender menjadi isu yang terus dibcarakan dalam dunia pendidikan. Sistem pendidikan dengan menggunakan sistem single sex classroom menjadi perhatian dalam isu ini. Sistem ini adalah sistem pendidikan yang memisahkan peserta didik berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Adanya pemisahan laki-laki dan perempuan dalam hal pembelajaran serta kegiatan-kegiatan lainnya tersebut berdasarkan beberapa alasan, di antaranya adalah alasan ajaran agama dan tradisi. Dalam konteks ini, unit pendidikan di dalam naungan Pondok Pesantren Al-Fithrah yang merupakan pondok pesantren afiliasi Nahdhatul Ulama (NU) menerapkan kebijakan single sex class tersebut karena alasan ajaran agama Islam dan tradisi mono sex yang telah berlaku di pesantren. Lalu bagaimanakah persepsi kesetaraan gender di lingkungan pesantren yang menerapkan hal tersebut. Untuk menjawab hal tersebut, maka penelitian lapangan di Penddikan Diniyah Formal Pondok Pesantren Al Fithrah, Surabaya, dengan menggunakan pendekatan gender dan fenomenologi. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pihak pesantren tidak membeda-bedakan perlakuan pada kualitas pendidikan santri putra dan santri putri. Perempuan di PDF Ulya Al Fithrah juga terlihat berperan aktif srta tidak menjadi kelompok kelas kedua. Penelitian ini juga mengkonfirmasi segregasi gender atau pemisahan antara laki-laki dengan perempuan dalam sistem pembelajaran dianggap tidak menyalahi dengan konsep kesetaraan gender yang diyakini pesantren. Pada kebijakan dan manajemen peserta didik, PDF Ulya Al Fithrah menyetarakan kebutuhan pendidikan baik santri putra maupun putri Walaupun juga ditemukan bahwa pada PDF Putra Al Fithrah tidak terdapat ustadzah sedangkan pada PDF putri terdapat ustadz laki-laki. Kebijakan single classroom lebih didasarkan pada tradisi pesantren dibanding dengan diskriminasi gender.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the readiness of kindergarten (TK) teachers in East Kalimantan to implement the Independent Curriculum based on deep learning, focusing on both conceptual understanding and technical application. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design was used. Five teachers from two kindergartens were selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model (reduction, display, conclusion). All teachers demonstrated a strong conceptual grasp of the Independent Curriculum and deep learning, understood as meaningful and reflective learning. However, the technical readiness varied. Teachers at Handayani 1 Kindergarten, who had attended training, were more capable of designing learning tools aligned with deep learning principles. In contrast, Handayani’s two teachers relied mainly on intuitive practices owing to limited access to training and facilities. Nevertheless, classroom observations revealed practices consistent with the curriculum, including exploratory, experience-based activities, and flexible lesson implementation.  This study identifies the phenomenon of teachers’ “intuitive readiness” in curriculum reform, contributing to the theory of teacher preparedness. This suggests the need for continuous reflective training, stronger professional learning communities, and systemic support to enhance deep learning implementation in early childhood education.

Abstract

Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) menjadi simbol identitas bangsa yang memerlukan perencanaan matang dalam pembangunan kota baru, termasuk implementasi pendidikan berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi potensi implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka melalui pendekatan Problem-Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA) untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran di PAUD wilayah IKN Kutai Kartanegara. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kasus diterapkan, melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 6 kepala sekolah, 6 guru TK, dan 1 Pengawas  dari Dinas Pendidikan Kukar Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tantangan utama implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka meliputi kurangnya pelatihan guru, keterbatasan SDM, dan rendahnya literasi digital. Solusi yang dirancang dengan pendekatan PDIA meliputi pembentukan kelompok belajar, pelatihan kurikulum, dan desain pembelajaran berbasis kebutuhan lokal. Kolaborasi antara pendidik, orang tua, dan komunitas terbukti memperkuat implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dengan hasil positif dalam pembelajaran holistik dan integratif. Pendekatan PDIA memungkinkan adaptasi kontekstual dan inovasi pembelajaran, menghasilkan peningkatan efektivitas pembelajaran di PAUD. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya sinergi pemangku kepentingan dalam mengatasi tantangan dan memanfaatkan potensi lokal untuk menuju PAUD berkualitas di IKN.

Abstract

Early childhood language skills are an important aspect in the development of communication and self-expression. However, in Bina Rahyu Kindergarten, Kutai Kartanegara, children aged 4-5 years show low language skills, such as difficulty speaking, stiffness when singing, and less responsive to social interactions. This research aims to improve children's language skills through storytelling methods using natural materials in the form of corn husks. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 8 children, namely 6 boys and 2 girls. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation, with data analysis quantitatively and qualitatively descriptive percentages. Indicators of success include the ability to answer simple questions, express feelings and desires, mention natural materials from corn, and retell the content of the story. The results of the study showed that in the pre-cycle, the average achievement of language skills was 39%. In the first cycle it increased to 51%, the teacher's strategy of stimulating through a story entitled "The Prince Who Doesn't Like to Eat Vegetables" repeatedly and the teacher gave repeated questions so that in the second cycle it increased to 85%, exceeding the success criteria of 80%. The conclusion of this study is that storytelling using natural materials is effective in improving early childhood language skills. Educators are advised to be more creative in selecting learning media that suit children's characteristics, making the learning process more enjoyable and supporting optimal language development.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the integration of curriculum management in improving the quality of learning at MI Ma’arif NU 001 Palaran. As the core instrument of education, the curriculum requires integrated management to effectively address students’ needs and the challenges of the educational environment. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students. The findings reveal that curriculum management integration at MI Ma’arif NU 001 Palaran is carried out through adaptive program planning, contextual implementation of learning activities, and continuous evaluation. Supporting factors include leadership commitment, teacher participation, and parental involvement, while the main obstacles are limited facilities and diverse student abilities. The integration of curriculum management contributes positively to enhancing learning quality across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. This study recommends strengthening teachers’ capacity in curriculum management and improving supporting facilities to ensure sustainable development of learning quality in madrasah education.
