Abstract

This research aims to develop comic-based learning media to improve students' creative thinking skills in Indonesian language subjects in junior high school. This study employed the research and development method with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The instruments included observation questionnaires, interviews, and feasibility and effectiveness assessments. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The study's results are as follows: (1) Initial observations highlighted the need for developing learning media in class VII SMP/MTs, which served as the basis for product development; (2) The design stage involved creating learning media components ready for development; (3) The development stage produced comic-based learning media tested by several experts and students, along with an effectiveness test; (4) Material expert tests scored 3.80, media expert tests scored 4.00, indicating good quality. Student feasibility tests calculated using the AIKEN V formula scored 0.95 to 1, categorized as very good. An experimental test was conducted on 20 students in control and experimental classes. The independent sample test analysis yielded a p-value of 0.154, indicating that the p-value > 0.05, thus H0 was accepted. Therefore, the comic products developed are effective in improving students' creative thinking skills. This research is expected to provide references for learning media that enhance creative literacy, leading to students' creative thinking skills, an essential competency in the 21st century.

Abstract

This study explores the development and effectiveness of Android-based Augmented Reality (AR) learning media to enhance university students' writing skills in Indonesian language courses. The background stems from challenges observed in writing classes, where reliance on static PowerPoint presentations and lack of interactive media contributed to low student engagement and limited writing outcomes. Utilizing the ADDIE model, this developmental research involved stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Media content was designed using Macromedia Flash integrated into Android-based AR, focusing on accessibility, interactivity, and the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework. Validation from material and media experts indicated high feasibility (scores of 3.87 and 3.77, respectively), while student response yielded an Aiken's V index of 0.95–1, categorized as excellent. An experimental test involving control and treatment groups demonstrated significant improvement in writing skills (p-value 0.05). The results suggest that Android-based AR media effectively supports meaningful and engaging writing instruction, addresses students’ literacy gaps, and aligns with 21st-century learning needs. This study contributes to educational technology and writing pedagogy by offering an innovative solution to writing literacy challenges in higher education.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pelatihan penggunaan Sistem Informasi Himpunan Disabilitas Muhammadiyah (HIDIMU) sebagai upaya strategis dalam mendukung transformasi digital pengelolaan data penyandang disabilitas. Masalah utama yang melatarbelakangi pengembangan sistem ini adalah ketiadaan basis data terpusat yang valid dan akurat, serta keterbatasan kemampuan teknis pengurus dalam mengelola data secara digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelatihan, mengevaluasi pemahaman peserta, dan meninjau efektivitas sistem informasi HIDIMU dalam pengelolaan data berbasis komunitas. Metode pelatihan dilakukan secara partisipatif dan berbasis praktik langsung, melibatkan 15 peserta dari pengurus dan admin Himpuan Disabilitas Muhammadiyah wilayah Yogyakarta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan peserta dalam mengoperasikan fitur sistem seperti Data Management dan User Management. Sistem ini memfasilitasi pemantauan dan rekapitulasi data secara real-time, serta mendukung proses pengambilan keputusan yang lebih akurat. Namun, ditemukan beberapa tantangan, seperti keterbatasan aksesibilitas bagi pengguna dengan gangguan penglihatan dan keterbatasan infrastruktur internet. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan sistem informasi HIDIMU tidak hanya meningkatkan kapasitas teknis individu, tetapi juga memperkuat semangat kolaborasi dan pemberdayaan komunitas. Artikel ini merekomendasikan pengembangan lanjutan sistem yang inklusif serta perluasan implementasi ke wilayah lain sebagai model praktik baik dalam pengelolaan data disabilitas berbasis teknologi.   Training on Information System usage of Muhammadiyah Disability Association   Abstract: This article discusses training on the use of the Information System of the Muhammadiyah Disability Association (HIDIMU) as a strategic effort to support the digital transformation of data management of persons with disabilities. The main problem behind the development of this system is the absence of a centralized database that is valid and accurate, as well as the limited technical capabilities of administrators in managing data digitally. This study aims to describe the training process, evaluate participants' understanding, and review the effectiveness of the HIDIMU information system in community-based data management. The training method was participatory and hands-on based, involving 15 participants from the administrators and admins of HIMPUAN DISABILITAS MUHAMMADIYAH in the Yogyakarta area. Results showed significant improvement in participants' ability to operate system features such as Data Management and User Management. The system facilitates real-time data monitoring and recapitulation, and supports a more accurate decision-making process. However, some challenges were found, such as limited accessibility for users with visual impairments and limited internet infrastructure. The conclusion of this activity shows that the HIDIMU information system training not only improves the technical capacity of individuals, but also strengthens the spirit of collaboration and community empowerment. This article recommends further development of an inclusive system and expansion of implementation to other areas as a model of good practice in technology-based disability data management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) oleh mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi berbasis AI, seperti alat analisis teks, pemeriksa tata bahasa, dan platform pembelajaran adaptif, telah membantu mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan kualitas penulisan akademik, memperbaiki kesalahan tata bahasa, serta memperdalam analisis terhadap karya sastra. Temuan penelitian juga mengungkapkan adanya kendala berupa keterbatasan pemahaman teknis terhadap teknologi AI dan ketergantungan yang berlebihan pada aplikasi tersebut. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan AI memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas pembelajaran mahasiswa, namun diperlukan pelatihan dan pembimbingan yang lebih intensif agar pemanfaatan AI menjadi lebih optimal dan terarah. Abstract: This study aims to analyze the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology by students in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education program to support their learning processes. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings indicate that AI-based applications, such as text analysis tools, grammar checkers, and adaptive learning platforms, have significantly enhanced students' academic writing quality, corrected grammatical errors, and deepened their literary analysis. The study also identifies challenges, including limited technical understanding of AI and excessive reliance on these tools. It concludes that AI usage holds great potential to improve learning efficiency and quality among students. However, more intensive training and guidance are needed to ensure optimal and directed utilization of AI technologies.

Abstract

This qualitative case study, conducted in West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, employed the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to address the persistent issue of cultural disconnect in Indonesia’s standardized reading literacy assessments. The study aimed to develop and evaluate a reading literacy Minimum Competency Assessment (MCA) book that integrates local wisdom and is supported by the Teachmint app as an interactive learning platform. The intervention contextualized assessment materials by incorporating local folklore, customs, and socio-cultural environments into the design of learning content. Validation by experts rated the book as highly feasible (91.2%), with strong positive responses from both teachers (88.5%) and students (85%). Implementation of Teachmint enhanced accessibility, motivation, and engagement through digital features like quizzes, automatic feedback, and interactive discussions. Quantitative findings revealed significant gains in students’ informational text comprehension (30.03%), literary text comprehension (11.92%), and critical analysis skills (35.09%). A comparative study also demonstrated that students assessed through Teachmint outperformed those using conventional platforms like Google Forms. This research highlights the effectiveness of integrating local cultural contexts and educational technology to enhance reading literacy and offers practical insights for developing culturally responsive assessments in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan dan kelayakan media Powtoon sebagai media pembelajaran teks prosedur kelas XI SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model milik Borg and Gall. Subjek pada penelitian ini dilakukan kepada ahli materi, ahli media, ahli pengajaran, dan siswa kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Sleman. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni menggunakan tiga instrumen yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan pengisian angket. Lalu, teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif-deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan mendapatkan kategori “Sangat Baik” untuk digunakan. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan hasil skor yang diperoleh dari para ahli sebagai validator dalam proses validasi media yang dikembangkan. Ahli materi memberikan nilai sebesar 96,36, dari ahli media mendapatkan nilai sebesar 95,86, dan ahli pengajaran memberikan nilai sebesar 100. Sementara itu, nilai dari pengguna media sebesar 77,33. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian tersebut bahwa dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Powtoon, mampu menjadi solusi bagi kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah serta menjadi salah satu media yang menarik dan inovatif.   Powtoon: Innovative procedural text learning media for high school students   Abstract: This study aims to describe the development and feasibility of Powtoon media as a learning medium for class XI high school procedural texts. The method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method with Borg and Gall's model. The subjects in this study were material experts, media experts, teaching experts, and class XI SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Sleman. The data collection technique uses three instruments, namely observation, interviews, and filling out questionnaires. Then, the data analysis technique used in this study used quantitative-descriptive data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the learning media that has been developed get the "Very Good" category for use. This is in accordance with the results of the scores obtained from experts as validators in the media validation process that was developed. Material experts gave a score of 96.36, media experts scored 95.86, and teaching experts gave a score of 100. Meanwhile, media users scored 77.33. The conclusion obtained from the results of this research is that by using Powtoon-based learning media, it is hoped that it can be a solution for learning activities in schools as well as being one of the interesting and innovative media.

Abstract

The development of Islamic novel is increasingly diverse. Gender is one of the topics that writers often pick up. The closeness of the theme with the reader is one of the reasons for the development of gender perspective Islamic novel. This study aims to describe the development of Islamic gender perspective novel using literature studies. Data obtained from reviewing documents in the form of books and literature. The results of the study show that a gender perspective is used by many authors in bringing up Islamic novel. Gender perspectives are reflected in the main ideas of feminism in the novel, including: the interpretation of society against the subordination of women; the position of women in marriage; the position of women in education and careers.
