The program was initiated based on preliminary observations indicating that most students lacked adequate understanding of recruitment strategies, professional curriculum vitae (CV) writing, and communication skills during job interviews. The activities were conducted through interactive training sessions and practical workshops covering CV writing and interview simulations. The implementation methods included lectures, discussions, simulations, and individual mentoring. A total of 38 final-year students from various study programs at STAI DAKU participated in the program. The evaluation results showed an improvement in participants’ knowledge regarding the job selection process, as measured through pre- and post-tests, as well as their perceived benefits of the program.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of operational discipline, job satisfaction, and professional competence on employee performance within the aviation sector, focusing specifically on Airport Operational Support Services. A quantitative causal-explanatory method was employed, using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) technique. The sampling process applied a stratified random method, involving 338 participants from different job levels. The findings reveal that both operational discipline and professional competence have a significant and positive impact on employee performance. Conversely, job satisfaction was found to have a negative effect. Theoretically, this study deepens the understanding of the interplay between these variables within high-risk work environments. On a practical level, it offers strategic insights for improving performance through targeted initiatives in discipline and competency enhancement. The study also provides a valuable contribution to the formulation of more comprehensive and contextually appropriate human resource management strategies in the airport support services industry.

Abstract

The electricity industry faces increasing demands for continuous innovation amid rapid technological advancement and rising customer expectations. Innovative capability is assumed to be influenced not only by leadership and organizational communication but also by the effectiveness of knowledge sharing in facilitating the flow and utilization of organizational knowledge. This study examines the effects of leadership and organizational communication on innovation by incorporating knowledge sharing as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach with employee survey data and Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), the study evaluates the structural relationships and both direct and indirect effects. The findings indicate that leadership has a significant positive effect on knowledge sharing, and organizational communication also positively influences knowledge sharing. Knowledge sharing significantly enhances innovation, while the direct effects of leadership and communication on innovation are not significant. Mediation analysis confirms that knowledge sharing significantly mediates both the leadership–innovation and communication–innovation relationships. These findings highlight that innovation increases primarily when leadership and communication practices are reinforced through structured knowledge-sharing mechanisms.

Abstract

Organizational change often brings uncertainty among employees, which can affect their readiness to adapt to the change. In this context, effective communication and employee passion are key factors in reducing uncertainty and increasing readiness to change. PT XYZ, a large manufacturing company in Indonesia, is undergoing a digital transformation through the implementation of a new ERP system aimed at improving work efficiency and effectiveness. This study aims to explore the influence of uncertainty, communication, and passion on employee readiness to change at PT XYZ. The objective of this study is to examine the influence of uncertainty, communication, and employee passion on readiness to change at PT XYZ. This study also aims to identify the most significant factors affecting employee readiness to adapt to the ongoing changes. Thus, it is expected that this research will provide valuable insights for PT XYZ's management in managing change and minimizing employee resistance. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 266 employees across various departments and analyzed with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The findings reveal that uncertainty negatively affects readiness to change, while effective communication and employee passion significantly enhance it. Notably, communication effectiveness and employees’ enthusiasm for change emerged as key drivers of organizational adaptability. The study highlights the need for PT XYZ’s management to minimize uncertainty through transparent communication strategies and foster a positive work culture to enhance employee readiness. These insights provide valuable guidance for organizations undergoing similar transformations, emphasizing the critical role of communication and employee engagement in change management success.
