Abstract

Increased energy needs in the community can have an impact on the scarcity of fuel oil so that it becomes a dependence on energy as a main requirement. The development of product diversification in the form of mixed sugar cane and durian skin briquettes in an effort to obtain alternative fuels. Renewable energy sources that have the potential to be used as fuel for briquettes made from raw sugar cane and durian skin. Efforts and innovations of mixed sugar cane and durian skin briquettes are produced as alternative fuels so that they have characteristics of quality and performance, namely the calorific value. The stages of testing and evaluation of mix sugar cane and durian skin briquettes are needed before being developed and recommended as alternative fuels. Through the technology of the process of making briquette products with compacting and optimizing the content composition and use of adhesive types to obtain the heating value. From this study can be produced mixed sugar cane and durian skin briquettes which are recommended as alternative fuels. The highest characteristics of the heating value of mixed of sugar cane and durian skin briquettes with gambir adhesive were obtained at 16967.91 kJ/Kg and density of 682.23 Kg/m3. Briquettes (biomass) that have a high density have a high calorific value. Comparison of the composition of the mixture in making briquettes is 40%: 40%: 20%. The composition of the mixture between the raw material and the adhesive, the amount of grain, the force of compacting greatly affects the characteristics of the calorific value and density of the briquettes.

Abstract

Based on preliminary analysis, the results of student learning object oriented programming courses show the numbers are still relatively low, the low expected learning outcomes is due to the limitations of learning resources or existing instructional media. This research was conducted using the method of research and development (R&D) by using the Four- D model. The development of Mobile Learning used method Design of Exploratory Tutorial. The result of validity test shown that Mobile Learning media was valid. Then the result of practicalities test obtained also show the practicalities of media. Effectiveness of Mobile Learning media declared effective in improving student learning outcomes. Based on the findings of this study concluded that Mobile Learning was valid, practical, and effective to be used as media learning. Abstract

This research is written based on the learning difficulties during industrial internship activities. This research is to produce a learning module for students who implement Prakerin with the Blended Learning model. To know the validity of modules, the effectiveness, and effectiveness of the developed learning modules. The method used is Research and Development (R & D) by using the FOUR D development model that is the definition, design, development, and deployment. The research design used for the trial module is quasi-experiment with a time series model. The module made is valid by the material expert with the average of all eligibility is 80.38%, included in the "Excellent" category. The modular practicality analysis is 81.41%, included in the "Practical" category. Module effectiveness analysis, included in the "Good" category. From both data analysis results done, it can be stated that the module is effective in improving learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract: Education as an important aspect, in improving the quality of education needs to be done innovatively. Learning Models are examples of student learning patterns or structures that are designed, implemented, and systematically evaluated by teachers in order to achieve learning objectives. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 currently has an influence in various fields, one of which is the world of education, with IoT presenting an industrial revolution in the world of education in finding ways to implement learning systems so that they are not outdated. STMIK Royal is one of the computer high schools in Kisaran that wants to develop a better learning model for its students. In choosing the development of learning models requires a decision support system method in choosing the best using the AHP method. This method can analyze a number of criteria and alternatives in choosing the best learning model development which is determined through the calculation process. This model is easier and more effective to produce the best. The AHP method is able to produce the selection of learning model development with several selection criteria and influential alternative choices. The result of the highest ranking is a priority on criteria and alternatives in achieving the goal of choosing a learning model at STMIK Royal Kisaran. Keywords: alternative; analytical hierarchy process; criteria, development; learning models  Abstrak: Pendidikan sebagai aspek penting, dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan perlu dilakukan secara inovatif. Model Pembelajaran adalah contoh pola atau struktur belajar siswa yang dirancang, dilaksanakan, dan dievaluasi secara sistematis oleh guru dalam rangka mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Revolusi Industri 4.0 saat ini telah memberikan pengaruh di berbagai bidang salah satunya dunia pendidikan, dengan IoT menghadirkan revolusi industri di dunia pendidikan dalam mencari jalan mengimplementasikan sistem pembelajaran agar tidak ketinggalan zaman. STMIK Royal merupakan salah satu sekolah tinggi komputer di Kisaran yang ingin mengembangkan model pembelajaran yang lebih baik bagi mahasiswanya. Dalam memilih pengembangan model pembelajaran memerlukan metode sistem pendukung keputusan dalam memilih yang terbaik menggunakan  metode AHP. Metode ini dapat menganalisis sejumlah kriteria dan alternatif dalam memilih pengembangan model pembelajaran terbaik yang ditentukan melalui proses perhitungan. Model ini lebih mudah dan efektif untuk menghasilkan yang terbaik. Metode AHP mampu menghasilkan pemilihan pengembangan model pembelajaran dengan beberapa kriteria seleksi dan alternatif pilihan yang berpengaruh. Hasil perangkingan tertinggi merupakan prioritas pada kriteria dan alternatif dalam pencapaian tujuan memilih model pembelajaran di STMIK Royal Kisaran. Kata kunci: alternatif; analytical hierarchy process; kriteria; pengembangan; model pembelajaran

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Virtual Reality Box (VR BOX) as a learning medium on students' motivation, interest, and learning discipline in welding practice for grade XI students of the Machining Engineering Department at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design applying the non-equivalent control group design approach. Data were collected through tests and observation and analyzed using validity tests, reliability, normality, homogeneity, t-tests, ANOVA, and coefficient of determination. The results showed that the use of VR BOX significantly influenced students' motivation, interest, and learning discipline. The implementation of VR media created interactive learning, increased student engagement, and reduced fear in welding practice. It can be concluded that VR BOX is an effective instructional medium to improve the quality of vocational practice learning in vocational schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of industrial work practice (Prakerin) experience to the learning motivation of 12th-grade students in the Mechanical Engineering Department at SMKS Dhuafa Padang. A quantitative correlational research approach was employed, using a questionnaire distributed to 30 students who had participated in the Prakerin program. The results indicate a strong and significant relationship between Prakerin experience and learning motivation, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.763 (Sig. < 0.001). Simple linear regression analysis shows that industrial practice experience contributes 58.3% to students' learning motivation. These findings suggest that relevant and meaningful implementation of Prakerin can encourage students to become more motivated in their academic activities at school.

Abstract

The Teaching Campus Program provides students with direct experience in collaborating with teachers and principals to improve the quality of learning, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and technology adaptation. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Teaching Campus Program Batch 8 among students of the Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University (FT UNP). This study uses a program evaluation research type with a quantitative approach. The research population consisted of 35 students, all of whom were sampled using total sampling technique. The research variable was the evaluation of the implementation of the Campus Teaching Program based on the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. Based on the results of the study, the evaluation of the implementation of the Campus Teaching Program among FT UNP students was overall “Fairly Good”. This provides learning experiences outside the campus and improves student skills. However, efforts to improve the quality of each evaluation dimension, especially in terms of student placement relevant to their study programs, clarity of guidelines, and preparatory curriculum, are necessary to achieve the “Very Good” category and maximize the program's contribution.

Abstract

The development of traditional markets is increasingly threatened by market transformation, both physically and through online sales systems (e-commerce). This study aims to analyze the forms of resilience implemented by clothing vendors at Wage Market, Tulungagung, in maintaining their business continuity amidst declining market conditions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research design. This research utilizes James S. Coleman's Rational Choice Theory. The methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study were six people consisting of four clothing vendors, the Head Coordinator of Wage Market, and the Heads of Market Technical Implementation Units throughout Tulungagung Regency. Subject selection was based on a purposive sampling technique. The results show that the forms of trader resilience consist of economic, innovation, social networks, and psychological aspects. Economically, traders maintain their businesses through managing capital owned by personal savings and cooperative loans. In terms of innovation, traders utilize simple technology and a variety of merchandise patterns. In terms of social networks, family support and solidarity among traders are the main strengths, while psychologically, optimism and religious beliefs help them survive. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of strengthening vendor strategies through digital marketing training and support for market revitalization policies from local governments to maintain the economic sustainability of vendors during times of market transformation.

Abstract

The use of moldboard plows in agricultural land preparation often faces wear problems on the share component, leading to increased maintenance time and reduced operational efficiency. This study aims to design and analyze a modular concept for the plow share to improve maintenance and repair efficiency without compromising structural performance. The research methods include field observation, component dimension measurement, design modeling using CAD software, and structural analysis using the Finite Element Analysis  (FEA) method. In addition, maintenance ease was evaluated through a questionnaire based on a rating scale. The results show that the modular design significantly improves maintenance and repair efficiency, with an average score of 4.59 categorized as very good. Structural analysis indicates that the modular design reduces maximum stress on the moldboard and slightly decreases deformation, reflecting improved structural stiffness compared to the conventional design. However, the Safety Factor on the share component remains below the acceptable limit, indicating the need for further development. Overall, the modular design provides an effective solution to enhance maintenance efficiency while maintaining the structural performance of the moldboard plow.

Abstract

Although the ability to read and draw technical drawings is an essential competency in the field of Welding Engineering, Grade XI Welding Engineering (TPL) students at SMK Negeri 2 Painan still experience difficulties in understanding welding symbols, joint forms, and technical dimensional measurements, which results in errors during workshop practice. This study aims to improve students’ technical drawing reading and drawing skills through the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. This study used a Classroom Action Research design conducted in two cycles, with each cycle comprising the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests to measure cognitive ability in reading technical drawings, practical tests to assess drawing skills, and observation sheets to record learning activities. The results showed that the implementation of CTL through inquiry activities, modeling using real workpieces, group discussions, and the formation of a learning community was able to consistently improve students’ learning outcomes from the pre-cycle stage to Cycle I and Cycle II. This improvement was reflected in students’ ability to identify welding symbols, read technical measurements, and produce drawings according to standards. The conclusion of this study affirms that the CTL approach is effective in improving learning mastery, reducing gaps in understanding, and strengthening students’ vocational competency readiness in accordance with industry needs. These findings provide practical implications for vocational teachers in developing technical drawing instruction that is more contextual, applicable, and relevant to workshop work practices.
