Abstract

This research explores the cultural phenomenon of the Ceramic Music Festival (Rampak Genteng) in Jatiwangi, Majalengka, focusing on its integration into sociology education. The festival, initiated by the Jatiwangi Art Factory community, celebrates local wisdom through music created from clay, emphasizing the community's longstanding expertise in tile-making. The study employs qualitative field research, utilizing interviews and literature review as data collection methods. It investigates how the festival embodies local wisdom, encompassing values such as religiosity, communal solidarity, artistic expression, historical significance, and economic resilience. These values are integral to sociology education, enriching lessons on community empowerment and social harmony. Project-Based Learning (PJBL) serves as a pedagogical approach to integrate these values into the sociology curriculum effectively.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggali bagaimana model realitas pendidikan seksual yang dilaksanakan di kampus. Model-model pendidikan seksual tersebut sebagai Upaya demistifikasi seksual dengan jalan melawan tabu yang berkaitan dengan seks. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Peneliti melakukan wawancara dengan tiga Satgas PPKS di perguruan tinggi. Hasil penelitian mengungkap (1) Satgas PPKS memanfaatkan media digital untuk menyebarkan informasi mengenai penyadaran kekerasan seksual; (2) Pemahaman bystander behaviour terus digencarkan pada civitas pendidikan sebagai upaya preventif kekerasan seksual melalui model pendidikan seksual; (3) Model ideal Satgas PPKS dalam penanganan kekerasan seksual yang menunjukan keberpihakan pada korban. Demistifikasi seksual menjadi suatu tantangan sebagai upaya pengarusutamaan gender dalam pembangunan utamanya ketika perempuan masih mengalami reviktimisasi dalam kasus kekekerasan seksual, alih-alih mendapatkan keadilan.

Abstract

This research aims to develop social capital through a political education model that involves urban female cadre communities in increasing political involvement based on Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). The research method employs a qualitative approach. This research involved 2 informants responsible for implementing political education regulations and 4 urban female cadre informants. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, which are subsequently analyzed through coding. The findings reveal that GEDSI-based women's political education serves as a benchmark for increasing the social capital of women’s mobilization partners, enabling them to acquire the abilities, skills, and political acumen necessary to boost confidence and empower women in formulating policies addressing the needs, challenges, and solutions for their communities. This research contributes by emphasizing that GEDSI-based political education for women encourages the development of political competence among female mobilization cadre partners advocating for gender justice, accessibility for people with disabilities, and the welfare of marginalized groups.

Abstract

The Osing tribe in Kemiren Village still respects and preserves ancestral traditions such as: Mepe mattress, Barong Ider Bumi, Kebo-keboan, Ithuk-ithukan, Angklung Paglak, Kawin Colong, Mocoan Lontar, Barong Caruk, Gandrung dance etc. From the various kinds of local wisdom that exist in the Banyuwangi community, this can enrich knowledge and of course it can be used as teaching material in the learning process, this is a form of preserving regional culture. The existence of the traditions of the Osing tribal community in the world of education is armed with various forms of local wisdom that exist in the Osing tribe. This is a form of cultural heritage that can be used as a source of learning at the elementary to senior high school levels in Banyuwangi Regency. Local wisdom values ​​can be implemented in all subjects, especially in sociology. Implementation of an educational approach based on local wisdom in sociology learning in schools is one of the solutions related to problems that exist in the community environment. Students are invited to be sensitive to their social environment and with an approach based on local wisdom students are invited to find out what local wisdom exists in their respective areas. Through sociology subjects at school, students are directed to be able to become virtuous Indonesian citizens by upholding local wisdom values, loving cultural differences, and being able to coexist regularly within the community.

Abstract

Kearifan lokal menjadi muatan penting untuk diinternalisasikan pada setiap generasi karena mencerminkan nilai-nilai, pengetahuan, dan praktik yang diwariskan secara turun temurun yang mampu mendukung keberlangsungan sosial dan lingkungan. Nilai-nilai lokal memiliki relevansi untuk menghadapi dunia yang terus berubah dan didominasi oleh pengaruh teknologi. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya interseksi antara kearifan lokal dan perkembangan teknologi di dunia pendidikan untuk menciptakan iklim pembelajaran yang interaktif, responsif, dan adaptif dalam menghadapi tantangan global yang semakin dinamis. Inovasi pembelajaran melalui implementasi kearifan lokal pada permainan tradisional Cublak Cublak Suweng dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang menjembatani antara kearifan budaya dengan kemajuan global. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi nilai kearifan lokal Cublak Cublak Suweng dalam pembelajaran MERDEKA. Teori yang digunakan sebagai dasar analisis adalah teori struktural fungsional skema AGIL dari Talcott Parsons. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnopedagogi. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah studi literatur dan observasi partisipan pada pembelajaran sosiologi di SMAN 2 Cibinong. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi kearifan lokal permainan tradisional Cublak Cublak Suweng dalam pembelajaran MERDEKA menciptakan iklim belajar yang interaktif, inklusif, dan rekreatif sekaligus melestarikan budaya nasional di era digital. Pendekatan ini mentransfer nilai moral dari makna "suweng" sebagai harta sejati serta mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa sebagai digital native.

Abstract

There is an imbalance between intellect and maturity; children of the current generation are growing in maturity more than in intellect. This research aims to understand the concept of social deviance and the notion of maturity from the perspective of pre-adolescents, to explore the implementation of maturity education for pre-adolescents, and to identify the efforts made by pre-adolescents to prevent social deviance. The research used a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach, involving 623 junior high school students aged 11-15 as respondents. The purposive sampling technique is used to select respondents who are considered to have relevant information. Data was collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire and open-ended questions, then analyzed using percentage techniques. The research results indicate that education for adolescents has a significant impact on reducing the tendency for deviant social behavior among teenagers. A total of 68,65%of teenagers reported performing their religious duties on time, 66,3% are able to distinguish between good and bad, and 65,6% are capable of making the right decisions. Education for adolescents helps teenagers understand religious values, build moral awareness, develop independence, and control emotions, which serve as protective factors against deviant behaviors such as promiscuity, violence, and substance abuse. This research emphasizes the importance of education for adolescents in shaping their character to be socially and individually responsible.Keywords: education, social deviance, aqil puberty

Abstract

Kearifan Lokal Ruwatan Lembur Kampung Cikareumbi Desa Sadang. Ruwatan lembur merupakan suatu tradisi ritual masyarakat RW 03 Kampung Cikareumbi untuk mensyukuri nikmat yang telah diberikan oleh Yang Maha Kuasa atas berlimpahnya sumber air untuk kehidupan masyarakat. Pada tradisi ruwatan lembur sumber air sebagai kearifan lokal masyarakat yang menjadi objek yang disyukurinya. Tradisi ruwatan lembur terdiri dari serangkaian acara yaitu ngaruwat, ngarawat, ngalengitkeun raruwet, di mana setiap acara memiliki makna tersendiri. Acara ruwatan lembur itu sendiri terdiri dari ngarawat, panumbalan dan perang tomat. Dari setiap rangkaian acaranya pun menjunjung tinggi makna Sapitong (Sauyunan, Sapikiran, dan Gotong Royong) menjadi landasan masyarakat Cikareumbi dalam mengadakan acara ruwatan lembur. Dalam acara ruwatan lembur pun setiap lapisan masyarakat turut berpartisipasi sehingga peran untuk mengupayakan pewarisan ruwatan lembur pun dapat terlaksana secara tidak langsung.

Abstract

Avoidant Attachment is an attachment pattern characterized by an individual’s tendency to withdraw from emotional closeness and avoid interpersonal dependency. This study aims to analyze how avoidant attachment among university student contributes to social role dysfunction in interpersonal relationship within the campus environment, through a sociological perspective. The study employs a qualitative approach combining literature review and semi-structured interview with one active student at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Analysis was conducted using three theoretical frameworks, Talcott Parsons’ structural functionalism to examine failures in social role integration, Robert K.Merton’s strain theory to understand retreatism as an adaptive response to relational pressure, and Erving Goffman’s dramaturgy theory to explore impression management as a self-protective strategy. The findings indicate that student with avoidant attachment tend to engage in social withdrawal, avoid conflict resolution, an defensively manage self presentation, resulting in the deterioration of peer interpersonal relationships. Family background was identified as a primary socialization factor shaping these behavioral patterns. This study affirms that avoidant attachment is not merely an individual psychological matter, but a social phenomenon affective the integrative function of campus interaction systems.

Abstract

The problems of contemporary urban society are closely intertwined with modernization and the double burden borne by middle-aged women. This study aims to analyze the manifestation of the mid-life crisis phenomenon experienced by urban women and identify the structural, economic, and psychosocial factors that influence the occurrence of the crisis in urban areas. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data analysis was carried out systematically through gathering academic references, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on the theoretical link between mid-life crisis and urban dynamics. The results show that mid-life crisis in urban women manifests in the form of deep emotional exhaustion, decreased resilience capacity, psychological stagnation, and a subjective critical evaluation of past achievements. This phenomenon is sociologically triggered by an accumulation of structural factors in the form of a double burden between public and domestic roles, the position as a sandwich generation, urban economic uncertainty, and symbolic pressure from social media exposure that constructs unrealistic standards of living and domestic relations. Successfully navigating this critical window is determined by the ability of self-regulatory adaptation to avoid chronic affective disorders in old age.
