Naskah-naskah Arab-Pegon berbahasa Jawa masih digunakan sebagai literatur di pesantren. Beberapa teks kuna berbahasa daerah tersebut merupakan karya kiai pengasuh pondok yang masih menggunakan wazan bahr bahasa Arab, kombinasi nazam unik bahasa Jawa dan bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini mengungkap naskah kitab Muhafadhatu al-Sibyaan karya Muhaimin bin Jamroh dan Zainudin Tamsir pada sisi konten, nilai yang terkandung dalam kitab tersebut. Pola penyajian tema-tema gramatika bahasa Arab dan relevansi penggunaannya dalam pendidikan bahasa Arab di era milenial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kajian filologi. Konsep dan langkah analisa menggunakan konsep kerja Edward Djamaris terkait penentuan sasaran penelitian, observasi pendahuluan, deskripsi naskah, transliterasi naskah, penyuntingan, penerjemahan teks, dan nilai-nilai kandungan naskah. Hasil penelitian ditemukan kolaborasi indah antara bahasa Jawa dan bahasa Arab; nazam berbahasa Jawa, wazan berpola bahasa Arab, bahar rajaz. Materi nazam bukan hasil terjemahan utuh namun cuplikan beberapa kitab klasik nahwu yang dipadu dengan nasehat-nasehat luhur kehidupan. Nazam ini lebih tepat diajarkan kepada anak-anak berasal dari suku Jawa. Nazam Jawa ini menunjukkan sumbangsih penulis untuk memenuhi pendidikan yang berbasis kearifan lokal dalam mengajarkan kaidah-kaidah bahasa Arab.

This study aims to describe the approach used in the Arabic learning system at State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya, so that it can identify the problems in language learning that need to be addressed to date. Because the problems in language learning must continue to be evaluated so that they can achieve the objectives in learning Arabic at State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya. In this study using a qualitative method presented descriptively with a type of case study in the Arabic language learning system in an intensive program shaded by the Language Development Center (P2B). Data collection techniques used in this study are participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique is done by data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found some design problems and their implementation in State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya which included: (1) Lack of focus on learning objectives. (2) The initial ability test of students is not in accordance with the Arabic language ability test that should be. (3) Short learning time with the material and the target of achieving too much material. (4) Inadequate facilities and facilities. So from this research the researcher provides a solution to overcome some design problems in learning Arabic at State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Keywords: Arabic language learning, special purpose, communicative

This study aims to reveal the importance of knowing the five levels of Modern Standard Arabic in Egypt. This study used a qualitative method with literature study through book references, dictionaries, and journals. The main object of this study is the Arabic language itself and its role in Arabic language teaching for Indonesian. The data were collected through interviews and documentation from some students in State Islamic University Sunan Ampel in Surabaya and Al-Azhar University in Cairo to get data from the reality. Then, the result of this study revealed that the level of Modern Standard Arabic in Egypt is important to know for Indonesian Arabic language learners in order to understand many forms of language in various situations and conditions as well as the existing kinds of literature such as in scientific forums up to daily conversations because it can represent the varieties of Arabic existing in other countries and to add the knowledge of Arabic literature by learning about colloquial language and linguistic phenomenon about it in Arabic teaching. هدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة خمس مستويات اللغة العربية المعاصرة. تناول هذا البحث المنهج الكيفي بجمع البيانات حول الكتب والمعاجم والبحوث. وتركيز محور الدراسة هو اللغة العربية نفسها ودورها في تعليم اللغة العربية مع الظواهر اللغوية، والمحور الثاني هو الظواهر اللغوية التي تسبب هذه المستويات، طريقة جمع البيانات هي المقابلة مع بعض الطلاب الإندونيسيين بجامعة سونن أمبيل الإسلامية الحكومية سورابايا وجامعة الأزهر الإسلامية بالقاهرة. فنتائج الدراسة هي أن معرفة تقسيم اللغة العربية إلى خمسة مستويات مهمة لتساعد الإندونيسيين في فهم عدة صيغ من اللغة العربية إما الفصحى والعامية وتزويد المعلومات عن الثقافة العربية بتعيين العامية في تعليم اللغة العربية مع الاهتمام إلى الظواهر اللغوية تتعلق بهذه اللغة.

Abstract A single word in the Qur’an may give many similar and sometimes different meanings. Determining the intended meaning of the verse has become a necessary matter. This research attempts to discover the different meanings of the word “Zauj” written in the texts of the Holy Qur’an and to discover the development of the meaning of “Zauj” throughout history; pre-Quranic, during the revelation, pasca-Quranic. This research uses both quantitative and qualitative methods using synchronic and diachronic analysis techniques. The primary data used is the word Zauj in the Qur’an and the secondary data use all related articles, especially the Tafsir al-Misbah. The results show that the word Zauj has six different meanings; husband, wife, couple, kind of plants, kind of animals, and kind of a group. And its meaning before Islam may refer to the mattress that protects from the weather. Its meaning in the modern period is divided into classical, medieval and modern ones.

Nowadays, pesantren are institutions of Islamic religious knowledge, however, students do not only learn the Qu’ran and the yellow book but they are also taught general knowledge, especially literacy. Limitations of media and internet access affect the intensity of the students writing skills so that the students' writing creativity becomes a contradiction in developing the productivity of the writing tradition in the pesantren. This research is a qualitative study using a phenomenological approach, which describes the problems and potentials of writing PP Darul Ulum Banyuanyar. Data collection was held by observation and interviews. The research findings show that the problem of students is using electronic media and internet access. However, the way students overcome limitations is by writing in diary books, Islamic boarding school mading, bulletin and magazines. The thing that supports writing creativity is the existence of a role model from the tutor and becomes a liaison for publishing works in the media.

Textbooks are the main component used in assisting educators in delivering learning materials. The selection of the right textbook can affect the achievement of existing learning objectives. The Modern Arabic Book by Eckehard Schulz is a source of learning media in the form of printed books used by students at Sunan Ampel University Surabaya in learning and recognizing Arabic. The purpose of this research is to analyze and assess the suitability of the teaching materials presented in Arabic books with the theoretical principles of textbook development that Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah has established. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive type, and data collection was in document analysis. The study results stated that Eckehard Schulz's Modern Arabic book followed Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah's theory in the principle of textbook feasibility. Modern Arabic books contain five main principles in teaching materials, namely valid, meaningful, inclination and attention, worthy of study and global. The presentation of complete teaching materials includes four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The material is arranged sequentially to make it easier for students. However, some things could be improved in the book, namely, in grouping the main themes in Arabic textbooks.

This study aims to diagnose assessment as one of the learning improvement instruments. Assessment or assessment is a very urgent part of learning activities. From the diagnostic results, it is stated that the assessment has a positive impact on learning. One form of assessment that is often used is formative assessment. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Questionnaires were distributed via google form using a liket scale. The research was conducted at madrasas within the scope of the East Java region. The number of respondents consisted of ninety students. The results showed that diagnostic assessment as a learning improvement instrument that was integrated with PAI was very effective in increasing the motivation of madrasa students. Diagnostic assessment also has a positive effect on learning awareness. Diagnostic assessment gives a positive response to learning tools or learning media. Diagnostic assessment has a positive influence on the innovation of madrasa students.

Analisis kesalahan pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan evaluasi tehadap buku pembelajaran Bahasa arab " Auto-Drill ngomong Arab" Penerbit; DAMIGO BOOKS (ANDALIMAN BOOKS). No. ISBN; 978-623-7345-31-2. Dengan pendekatan menurut prespektif Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah. Analisis kesalahan Teks merupakan sebuah pendekatan atau metode penelitian yang berfungsi sebagai pisau analisis dalam mengetahaui kelayakan dan kualitas dari sebuah karya tulis. Tujuan dari analisis pada artikel ini sebagai upaya mengungkap kesalahan morfologi dan sintaksis pada buku tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, pendekatan ilmu Bahasa terapan, di bidang shorof dan nahwu ( morfologi-sintaksis). Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kesalahan Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah. Sumber data primer didapatkan dari buku Auto-Drill ngomong Arab. Teknik pengumpulan data identifikasi dan kategorisasi kesalahan teks, observasi sistematis dan interpretasi hasil. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti berupaya untuk memberikan koreksi terhadap buku Auto-Drill ngomong Arab sehingga penelitian ini bisa sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam revisi buku buku tersebut.

Education is the most important element in human life because education has the aim of making future generations superior and competitive. The application of the concept of Islamic education philosophy in education aims to make an ideal and structured education to achieve learning objectives. Several concepts of Islamic education philosophy have been developed by scholars, one of which was the concept that Ibn Khaldun coined. This study aims to determine the implementation and influence of Islamic education philosophy according to Ibnu Khaldun at Khairunnas Elementary School Surabaya. Researchers used qualitative research methods with a descriptive qualitative approach. This type of research in this analysis uses field studies. The results of this study state that the Khairunnas Elementary School Surabaya has implemented the concept of Islamic education philosophy from Ibn Khaldun's perspective. It can be seen by applying Ibn Khaldun's four concepts: curriculum, educators, students, and teaching methods. Applying these four concepts can have a good influence on all elements of education at Khairunnas Surabaya Elementary School, both from the elements of the curriculum, educators, students, and the application of teaching methods.

This study discusses the analysis of the book translation of the book Ta'lim Muta'allim published by al-Hidayah. The book is one of the santri (moslem student) reference books to support students' understanding of the pesantren (Islamic boarding school) curriculum which uses the yellow book in their learning. The yellow book uses Arabic, so the translation of the book becomes very important. The focus of this research lies in the pattern of translation errors and justification of translations in accordance with the rules of Arabic and Indonesian dealing with lexicon, syntax and semantics. This qualitative research method uses an applied linguistic approach that focuses on error analysis. The primary data source in this research is the book translation of Ta'lim Muta'allim published by al-Hidayah, while the secondary data used in the study is a documentation technique by studying books and literacy that discusses the technique of translating properly and correctly according to structural , semantic and precise in terms of terminology. The results showed, including: Errors in the preparation of sentences in the target language, errors in the use of sentence effectiveness, errors in translating vocabulary, errors in aspects of omission or not translating aspects of vocabulary, phrases and sentences and errors in translating foreign terms.
