Abstract

One measure of the effectiveness of the learning activity process is the inventiveness of the students. Pupils that demonstrate originality in their study will be acknowledged through a variety of methods. Enhancing students' creative storytelling skills during the learning process is the goal of this service project. Training in creating educational films with three-dimensional animation will be provided to service activity participants. This community service activity (PkM) applies the use of animated film making applications in learning at Al Irsyad Middle School. The PKM activity was attended by 14 class IX students of SMP Al Irsyad Surakarta. The implementation method used in this PkM activity is preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Training on how to make animated films using the Toontastic 3D application and direct practice in making animated films, as well as two-way discussions. Assistance for this training is through guidance to students via WhatsApp after the training takes place. The results of the activity evaluation in the form of a questionnaire regarding student motivation after participating in training in making learning media using animated films, showed that participants were very satisfied with an average score of 4.6 for the training activity. Students are able to practice how to make animated films themselves. That's why this training is said to be successful. This feedback shows satisfaction and provides participants with good enough motivation to participate in the training delivered. This service activity also provided a good response from partners.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a Gauss Jordan application with 3x3 dimensions based on Android which has been tested for validity on linear equation system material for class TI21A4 students, Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Duta Bangsa Surakarta. This research is a Research and Development (RnD) research that uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects in this study were one mathematics lecturer and one computer lecturer. Data was collected by means of material validation sheets and application displays and interviews. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the results of the validation of the Gauss Jordan 3x3 application in terms of the accuracy of the workmanship, an average score of 4.31 was obtained in the valid category. Assessment of the application display aspect obtained an average score of 4.33 with a valid category. Overall, based on these two aspects, the Android-based Gauss Jordan 3x3 application is said to be valid. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Android-based Gauss Jordan 3x3 application on the system of linear equations is said to be feasible to use in the learning process in Linear Algebra courses.Keywords:             applicaton; gauss Jordan; development; valid; SPL

Abstract

This paper explores the profitability and operational efficiency of refurbishing models managed by manufacturers versus retailers, focusing on equilibrium pricing, production quantities, and profit outcomes in each scenario. It reveals that the retailer refurbishing model often leads to higher production quantities and greater profitability for manufacturers, particularly when refurbishing costs are significant or when manufacturers do not achieve notable efficiency gains through intelligent manufacturing. In contrast, the manufacturer refurbishing model may be less advantageous when these conditions are unfavorable. The findings underscore the need for manufacturers to carefully assess refurbishing costs, potential efficiency improvements, and market dynamics before selecting a refurbishing strategy. This study provides practical insights for optimizing refurbishing decisions and contributes to the broader understanding of supply chain management. Additionally, it sets the foundation for future research on how emerging technologies and market trends may influence the effectiveness of different refurbishing models.

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) adalah konsep teknologi yang memungkinkan perangkat elektronik untuk berkomunikasi secara otonom, bertukar informasi, dan menerima perintah melalui jaringan. Dalam penelitian merancang Prototipe berupa sensor pengukur suhu dan kelembaban pada kumbung jamur. Prototipe alat yang dirancang dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu petani jamur kuping dalam memantau kondisi lingkungan di kumbung mereka dengan lebih efektif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah yaitu prototype alat berhasil direalisasikan sesuai yang di inginkan dan data berhasil ditampilkan melalui interface dan juga menunjukkan data pemantauan. Dengan adanya prototipe alat ini, diharapkan petani dapat lebih mudah mengambil tindakan yang diperlukan jika kondisi suhu dan kelembaban tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan jamur kuping.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengeksplorasi miskonsepsi terhadap simbol dan istilah matematika siswa di SD pada materi bangun datar, (2) mengetahui cara guru mengajarkan materi bidang datar untuk siswa kelas lima SD melalui alat peraga serta ( 3) mengetahui pemahaman konsep siswa pada siswa kelas 5 SD setelah menggunakan alat peraga bidang datar segiempat. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 38 siswa kelas 5D SD Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis dekriptif. Data primer diperoleh dengan soal tes pemahaman konsep berupa tes uraian yang mewakili simbol dan istilah matematika pada materi bangun datar segiempat. Data sekunder diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian (1) Siswa mengalami miskonsepsi simbol dan istilah matematika pada materi bangun datar segiempat karena terjebak pada nama-nama khusus dari bangun datar. Hal ini disebabkan oleh fokus mempelajari bentuk-bentuk khusus segiempat tanpa menyinggung hubungan dengan segiempat yang umum serta tidak memahami hubungan antar segiempat dan sifat-sifatnya. Miskonsepsi banyak terjadi pada simbol dan istilah yang mewakili konsep-konsep hubungan bangun-bangun segiempat, alas segitiga dan segiempat serta kesejajaran. (2) Guru dapat menerapkan permainan dengan alat peraga dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran materi bangun datar segiempat serta penerapan permainan dengan alat peraga membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep segiempat yang bersifat abstrak. (3) Siswa lebih memahami konsep segiempat dengan metode pembelajaran yang bersifat menyenangkan, menggunakan alat peraga berupa benda-benda kongkret serta siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop and integrate a student academic performance prediction system into an e-learning platform using a mathematical modelling approach combined with machine learning algorithms. The method employed was Research and Development (R&D), encompassing stages of needs analysis, mathematical modelling, development of a machine learning-based prediction system, and implementation and evaluation. The study was conducted at Duta Bangsa University, Surakarta, involving 100 students from the Informatics Engineering study program. Data were collected through the e-learning platform, covering student activity logs such as access frequency, quiz scores, assignment completion time, and forum participation. This behavioral data was then analyzed using supervised learning algorithms, namely logistic regression and decision tree, to build a predictive model for academic performance. The resulting predictive system was integrated into the e-learning platform to deliver risk notifications and adaptive learning material recommendations automatically. To measure the improvement in academic performance, a validated academic achievement test was administered as both a pre-test and a post-test to the experimental group. This test consisted of multiple-choice and short-answer items aligned with the course learning objectives. The results showed that the decision tree model achieved a prediction accuracy of 87.4%, while logistic regression reached 81.2%. Evaluation of the system’s effectiveness using the pre-test and post-test scores revealed a significant increase in students’ academic performance. Statistical analysis with a paired t-test yielded a significance level of p < 0.001, indicating that the adaptive prediction system effectively supports more personalized and impactful learning. This study contributes to the advancement of machine learning-based prediction systems in e-learning by designing and implementing a model that leverages real student activity data. The system enables early detection of academic risks and provides automated, adaptive content recommendations, thus fostering personalized and data-driven learning in higher education. Its practical implementation helps students identify learning weaknesses promptly and receive appropriate supporting materials immediately, promoting proactive and self-regulated learning behavior.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of students' abilities in Calculus I and Calculus II on their academic performance in the Machine and Artificial Intelligence course. The research explores explicitly three aspects: (1) the individual contribution of Calculus I, (2) the individual contribution of Calculus II, and (3) the combined effect of both on learning outcomes. Using an associative quantitative method, the study involved 35 first-semester Informatics Engineering students at Duta Bangsa University, selected through quota sampling. Data were gathered through tests and documentation and analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS with a 5% significance level. The results reveal that Calculus I ability does not have a statistically significant effect on student performance. In contrast, Calculus II's ability demonstrates a significant positive impact. Furthermore, the combined abilities in Calculus I and II significantly influence learning outcomes in the course. These findings highlight the essential role of Calculus II in enhancing students' comprehension of complex topics in artificial intelligence and machine learning, suggesting that a stronger foundation in advanced calculus may better prepare students for success in related fields.

Abstract

Tes Potensi Akademik (TPA) adalah tes yang bertujuan untuk melihat sejauh mana kemampuan berpikir peserta didik. Tes ini terdiri pemahaman serta penalaran. Aspek yang diukur dalam TPA ada 4 yakni verbal, numerical, logika, dan figural. Tes ini salah satunya digunakan dalam tes Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN). Oleh karena itu, bagi siswa kelas XII harus mempersiapkan kemampuan TPA. Selain itu, tes diperuntukan sebagai syarat diterimanya bekerja. Salah satu aspek TPA yang seringkali membuat siswa kesulitan adalah aspek logika. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan bagi siswa SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo tentang tips, trik, dan metode untuk mengerjakan soal TPA Logika. Siswa kelas XII SMK yang akan melanjutkan sekolah ke jenjang selanjutnya adalah yang menjadi sasaran pelatihan. Subjek pelatihan ini adalah 15 siswa kelas XII TKJ 1. Metode pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan dua cara yakni pemaparan secara langsung dan post test untuk mengukur sejauh mana siswa memahami dan mengaplikasikan metode pelatihan. Setelah dilakukan pemaparan oleh pembicara 1 dan 2, pembahasan contoh soal dengan menggunakan metode praktis, selanjutnya diakhir pelatihan diadakan post test. Hasil post test didapatkan hasil akhir bahwa 87% siswa dapat menerima dengan baik pelatihan TPA Logika.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the model schema based instructution on students' algebraic thinking abilities on flat shape material at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 1 Way Tenong Lampung Barat. This research is a Quasy Experimental or pseudo-experimental research. The research design uses a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study uses two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class which are homogeneous in nature. The researcher implemented the target population and the accessible population. The target population is all students of SMP Negeri Satu Atap 1 Way Tenong, while the accessible population is all students of class VII of SMP Negeri Satu Atap 1 Way Tenong. In the sampling process, the researcher used the Cluster Random Sampling method. Data collection techniques used were tests, documentation, and observation. The hypothesis test used in this study is the t-test. Hypothesis test analysis results using independent t-test on algebraic thinking ability shows that the significance value is <0,05 so that H0  rejected and H1 accepted, which means learning Schema-Based Instruction influence the ability to think algebraically.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat telah mendorong inovasi di berbagai sektor, termasuk pertanian. Salah satu permasalahan utama dalam sistem pertanian modern, khususnya greenhouse, adalah pengelolaan air yang efisien dan terkontrol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem irigasi otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dengan menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 dan sensor kelembaban tanah. Sistem dikembangkan untuk memantau kondisi tanah secara real-time dan secara otomatis mengaktifkan pompa air saat kelembaban berada di bawah ambang batas. Selain itu, sistem dilengkapi dengan dashboard aplikasi untuk pemantauan jarak jauh dan tombol manual untuk kontrol langsung di lokasi. Dengan menggunakan pemodelan kebutuhan sistem, perancangan perangkat keras dan lunak, serta pembuatan diagram blok yang menunjukkan keterkaitan antar komponen. Flowchart digunakan untuk menggambarkan alur kerja sistem berdasarkan data dari sensor kelembaban. Selain itu, diagram desain disusun untuk menampilkan skema rangkaian dan antarmuka dashboard. Seluruh tahapan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sistem irigasi otomatis yang efisien dan mendukung pertanian berbasis teknologi, Sehingga diperoleh hasil berupa pengembangan sistem irigasi otomatis pada greenhouse berbasis Internet of Things (IoT), yang dilengkapi dengan dasbord aplikasi sebagai media informasi melalui data sensor yang dikirim secara real-time dan fitur tombol manual pada alat dan web yang mampu dengan mudah dalam penggunaan nya. Sistem ini juga menghasilkan sensor yang dapat membaca kadar kelembaban tanah dengan status kering, lembab dan basah.
