Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat penerapan Self-Recording Video dalam praktik berbicara siswa. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian descriptive melalui pendekatan qualitative. Partisipan dari penelitian ini adalah satu orang guru bahasa Inggris di SMKN 6 Padang. Data dikumpulkan dari satu guru bahasa Inggris melalui pengamatan kelas dengan merekam proses belajar mengajar yang dilakukan oleh guru dan melalui proses observasi cheklist dan wawancara guru dengan perekam audio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menjelaskan materi terlebih dahulu, memberikan contoh video , dan memberikan kebebasan kepada siswa untuk membuat video. Topik dipilih dari materi pembelajaran, seperti narative. Guru memberikan bimbingan dan umpan balik sementara siswa merekam video, meningkatkan pengucapan dan memotivasi siswa. Setelah membuat video, guru menampilkan hasilnya di depan kelas. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui diskusi terhadap proses dan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa Self-Recording Video meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam berbicara dan memberikan kesempatan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan. Meskipun terdapat tantangan, seperti salah pengucapan, pendekatan ini membantu siswa merasa didukung dan termotivasi. Dengan menggunakan video ini, siswa dapat berlatih berbicara dengan lebih percaya diri dan efektif dalam belajar bahasa Inggris.Kata Kunci : Penerapan, Vidio Rekaman Mandiri, Berbicara

Abstract

Abstrak. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of teachers in implementing assertive discipline in senior high school students. The implementation of this research is to find information about how the role of teachers in applying assertive discipline in managing the classroom in English learning. Furthermore, this research is a descriptive research and the data were obtained from 2 English teachers in Man 1 Solok Selatan. To collect data, the researcher used observation checklist, and field notes, as instruments in this study. Based on the results of data analysis, the researcher concluded that English teachers who teach in classes X and XI, Man 1 Solok Selatan apply assertive discipline well, as evidenced by the existence of reference indicators about the role of teachers in applying assertive discipline. Teachers who teach English in classes X and XI, have fulfilled 14 sub indicators.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of the items in the Odd Semester Final Examination Questions for English Subjects at SMP NEGERI 09 Padang for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This research is quantitative descriptive. The Odd Semester Final Examination Items for English Subjects of SMP NEGERI 09 Padang consist of 50 multiple choice questions. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The participants of this study were 70 students of class VIII at SMP N 09 Padang which were determined through simple random sampling technique. This instrument is documentation of student answer sheet and key answer. From the data analysis the researcher can conclude that in terms of the effectiveness of the distractor, there are 19 items (38%) belonging to the very good and 15 items (30%) categories, 11 items (22%) including the sufficient category, 3 questions (6%) including the poor category, and 2 questions (4%) the questioners fall into the bad category

Abstract

This research was motivated by changes in the learning system carried out due to the covid-19 pandemic. This study relates to the effectiveness of learning using the odd-even system that is felt by teachers and students. This study aims to determine whether the teaching and learning of the odd-even system is effective for teachers and students at SMP Negeri 1 Luhak Nan Duo. This type of research is a qualitative description. The participants of this research are teachers who teach in class VIII and students in class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Luhak Nan Duo. This study uses a total sampling of 2 teachers who teach in class VIII and 230 students in class VIII. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and interviews. In this study, researchers collected data by distributing questionnaires via google form and distributing questionnaires to 230 students to schools. From the results of this data analysis, it shows that the ineffective quality of instruction, Appropriate levels of instruction, Incentive, and time felt by students. From the results of the analysis above, it can be concluded that this odd-even system can still be carried out if the pandemic continues, provided the teacher evaluates the obstacles faced by students during the odd-even system learning.
