Abstract

The development of settlement infrastructure in rural areas, particularly in Boidu Village, still faces various challenges, including suboptimal waste management. Bone Bolango Regency generated 20,018.79 tons of waste in 2023, contributing to environmental issues. The lack of village government capacity and low community awareness remain major obstacles in managing waste and settlement infrastructure. This program aims to enhance the capacity of village governments and empower communities in managing settlement infrastructure and waste. The methods used include surveys, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), socialization, and the establishment and mentoring of TPS3R management institutions. A participatory approach was implemented to increase community involvement in sustainable waste management efforts. The results indicate an improvement in community awareness regarding the importance of sustainable waste management. Socialization on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) successfully increased awareness among elementary school students. FGDs resulted in agreements on waste management strategies, while infrastructure planning assistance for TPS3R helped the village government formulate a Budget Plan (RAB). Furthermore, the community and village government’s commitment to independently managing TPS3R has strengthened. The implementation of this program demonstrates that strengthening village government capacity and community participation can improve settlement infrastructure and waste management. The program’s sustainability depends on government support and active community engagement.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan Rumput Laut khususnya di wilayah perairan Teluk Tomini masih belum maksimal. Terlebih untuk jenis rumput laut coklat (Sargassum, sp.). Sargassum, sp. masih dianggap sebagai sampah oleh masyarakat karena hanya terbawa oleh arus dan gelombang ke daerah pesisir pantai. Sehingga perlu dilakukan edukasi yang lebih maksimal untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai rumput laut coklat. Tujuan dilakukannya pengabdian ini yaitu untuk mengedukasi masyarakat mengenai manfaat lain dari Sargassum, sp. dengan cara memberikan penyuluhan dan sosialisasi dengan media proyektor dan brosur. Dan juga tanya jawab. Dengan penyuluhan dan sosialisasi tersebut, masyarakat antusias untuk mendengarkan serta menambah literasi masyarakat mengenai Sargassum sp.

Abstract

Gourami (Osphronemus gouramy) is one of the most popular freshwater fish in Indonesia. This species has relatively slow growth, thus requiring improved nutritional quality in its feed. The lysine requirement for omnivorous fish is 2.07%, therefore lysine supplementation is necessary to meet their nutritional needs. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of lysine supplementation in commercial feed on the growth rate and survival rate of gourami fingerlings, as well as to identify the optimal lysine dosage. This research was conducted over a period of 30 days, from June to July 2025, at the Balai Benih Ikan Andalas Gorontalo (BBI). The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments with three replications: control (A), lysine supplementation of 10 g/kg feed (B), 15 g/kg feed (C), and 20 g/kg feed (D). The feed used was commercial feed (PF 800) and lysine amino acid in the form of L-lysine HCL. The results showed that lysine supplementation in the feed had no significant effect on absolute length growth, absolute weight gain, or survival rate of gourami fingerlings. However, treatment C (15 g/kg feed) yielded the highest averages, with an absolute length of 0.34 cm, absolute weight of 0.75 g, and a survival rate of 87%. Water quality measurements during the rearing period showed an average temperature of 27°C, pH of 8, and dissolved oxygen of 7 mg/L, all within the normal range for gourami fingerlings.

Abstract

Vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) production continues to decline due to parasitic attacks on ponds in North Gorontalo Regency. Ectoparasites are one of the factors that can cause failure in the cultivation of vannamei shrimp. This study aims to determine the type of ectoparasites, intensity, and prevalence of vannamei shrimp cultured in traditional ponds in the North Gorontalo Regency. The sampling of the research was carried out at five research stations. The sampling of this research was taken at random in 5 plots of ponds and the total number of shrimps as many as 150 tails. At each station, samples were taken of 30 vannamei shrimp. Sampling using fishing gear in the form of nets. The observed samples were 8-10 cm in size alive. Observations of ectoparasites were carried out microscopically using a Zeis Binocular microscope with 10x magnification. Data analysis used descriptive analysis of the types of ectoparasites, intensity, and, the prevalence of ectoparasites found. The results of the study found four types of ectoparasites found in vannamei shrimp, namely Zoothanium sp., Epistylis sp., Carchesium sp., and Vorticella sp. The intensity of ectoparasite attack on shrimp was categorized as low to moderate infection, namely 4-7 individuals/shrimp. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan jenis tanaman yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup dan jenis tanaman yang terbaik dalam menjaga kualitas air benih ikan gurami dengan sistem aquaponik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode experiment dengan desain rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), 5 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan, yaitu perlakuan A (tanaman cabai), perlakuan B (tanaman tomat), perlakuan C (tanaman kangkung), perlakuan D (tanaman selada), dan perlakuan E ( control). Hasil analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) menunjukan bahwa penggunaan jenis tanaman yang berbeda tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan panjang dan berat mutlak serta kelangsungan hidup benih ikan gurame, panjang dan berat mutlak tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan D yaitu panjang sebesar 0.560cm dan berat 0.71 gram serta kelangsungan hidup yang tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan C yaitu 85%. Tanaman yang terbaik dalam menjaga kadar nitrat dan pH pada benih ikan gurame dengan sistem aquaponik adalah tanaman cabai (perlakuan A).

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat apakah dengan menambahkan tepung maggot dengan dosis berbeda di wadah budidaya dapat berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan gurame (Osphronemus gauramy). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu eksperimen. Hewan uji yang digunakan yaitu benih ikan gurame (Osphronemus gauramy) sejumlah 120 ekor, dengan perlakuan A (kontrol), B (tepung maggot 20% pakan buatan 80%), C (tepung maggot 30% pakan buatan 70%), dan D (tepung maggot 40% pakan buatan 60%). Media budidaya yang digunakan adalah akuarium yang berukuran 60 × 40 × 40 sebanyak 12 buah dan masing-masing diisi air sebanyak 20 liter dengan ikan sebanyak 10 ekor/akuarium. Proses pemeliharaan dilakukan selama 40 hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan analisis ANOVA menggunakan aplikasi spss versi 29. Selain itu, dilakukan uji tambahan yaitu uji lanjut menggunakan uji tukay). Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini yaitu perlakuan yang diberikan memiliki pengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan berat mutlak dan efesiensi pakan. Pertumbuhan berat mutlak tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan B dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan berat 1.217 cm, perlakuan dengan dosis tepung maggot 20% pakan buatan 80% untuk efesiensi pakan yang tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan B dengan presentase 23.69 % dengan dosis tepung maggot 20% pakan buatan 80%, menunjukan dosis yang terbaik adalah 20%.

Abstract

The relatively high potential for natural wealth has apparently not been able to overcome the problem of poverty in the Bone Bolango area. The problem of poverty does not only occur in Bone Bolango district but is still a national problem. This research aims to determine the achievement of SDGs targets as the basis for economic development in Bone Bolango Regency. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that uses expert respondents who are related to or know directly the SDGs achievement indicators for Bone Bolango district. Data analysis uses procedure hierarchy analysis (AHP) using expert choice 11 software. The results of the research show that there are six indicators that are problems in Bone Bolango district based on the SDGs achievement categories. Based on the results of the analysis of the answers given by respondents, the values obtained based on importance are: 1) eliminating extreme poverty (0.368), 2) reducing the percentage of poverty (0.240), 3) reducing the percentage of poverty based on gender and age (0.223), 4 ) increasing the proportion of women in parliament (0.075), 5) increasing GDP per capita (0.054), and 6) increasing the tax to GDP ratio (0.040). Achieving the SDGs indicator targets which is a problem in Bone Bolango Regency requires support, so there are five aspects assessed in this research, namely regulatory support, RPJMD priorities, institutional support, budget support and partnerships.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media filter yang berbeda terhadap kualitas air dan media filter yang paling efektif dalam menjaga stabilitas kualitas air benih ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio) dengan sistem resirkulasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, yaitu perlakuan A (dakron), perlakuan B (zeolit), perlakuan C (karbon aktif), perlakuan D (kontrol). Parameter yang diamati suhu, pH, oksigen terlarut (DO), nitrat (NO3), nitrit (NO2) dan amoniak (NH3). Hasil Analisis Sidik Ragam (ANOVA) menunjukkan bahwa media filter yang berbeda berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap suhu, pH dan oksigen terlarut DO, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap nitrat (NO3), nitrit (NO2) dan amoniak (NH3). Media filter yang paling efektif dalam menjaga stabilitas oksigen terlarut (DO) benih ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio) dengan sistem resirkulasi adalah dakron (perlakuan A), sedangkan zeolit (perlakuan B) yang paling efektif dalam menjaga stabilitas suhu air benih ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio) dengan sistem resirkulasi.

Abstract

The province of Gorontalo has the potential for waste generation reaching 246,397.112 tons, primarily from households (48 percent), traditional markets (24 percent), and commercial areas (9 percent). Of the 140 tons of waste produced daily in Gorontalo City, only 70 tons are transported by the Environmental Services Department to the Talumelito Regional Landfill, while the remainder is left without adequate management, resulting in environmental damage. The community service program through the Community Service Learning (KKN) in Infrastructure aims to enhance sustainable waste management in Leato Village. Activities will involve KKN students in educating the community on environmentally friendly waste management practices, conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), forming community self-help groups, mapping waste issues in the environment, and developing collaborative solutions to improve cleanliness and sanitation. Results indicated that over four months, the program successfully increased community awareness of the importance of responsible waste management. Initial testing found that public knowledge of sustainable waste and settlement management was rated poorly at 46.38%. Attitudes and behaviors scored 49.45% and 48.00% respectively, also falling below acceptable criteria. Final testing revealed significant improvement, with community knowledge in Leato Utara scoring 67.25% for sustainable waste and settlement management, and attitudes and behaviors scoring 73.45% and 70.40% respectively, meeting acceptable standards. In conclusion, the Infrastructure KKN program has positively contributed to improving waste management and sanitation in Leato Village, paving the way for cleaner and healthier settlements.
