Abstract

The presence of dolines at Gunung Sewu Karst are relatively has many variations. The shape and dimention of dolines could be affected by the surrounding rocks. This research is focused on identify of seal rock at Gesing doline, Pucanganom, Gunung Kidul based on geological surface and geological subsurface using geolectrical with dipole-dipole configuration. The geological surface conducted in detail observation of outcrop in geological field. The subsurface geological data conducted to delineated tha seal rock layer based on result of processing from Res 2 dinv software. The result of geological data such as the presence of tuffaceous layer at base of doline that has a direction layer at N 30oE / 8o. The result of petrographical analysis showed that the rock contained the glass composition about 73% that rock named by Vitric Tuff. The result of paleontological analysis showed the rock age at N 5 (Early Miocene) that could be correlated to regional stratigraphy with Semilir Formation. The presence of tuffaceous at base of doline could be interpreted as seal rock of Gesing doline. Keyword: Seal rock, tuff, Gesing Doline, Gunung Kidul, geoelectrical

Abstract

The Stratigraphy of Southtern Mountain is one of interest object to study. One of interest area is in Tambakromo area, Ponjong, Gunung Kidul. The set of rocks along Krenceng river could be well observed by measured stratigraphy. Stratigraphy measuring section conducted in three formations and supported by paleontological and petrographical data. The aim of this research is to reconstructed the stratigraphy in research area based on detail outcrop observation. Age determination and depositional environment were interpreted for Mandalika Formation, Semilir Formation, and Wonosari Formation. The result of age determination based on foraminiferal analysis is age at N 2 – N 4 (Late Oligocene to Early Miocene) for Mandalika andesitic breccia unit. The age at N 4 – N5 (Early Miocene) is for Semilir tuffaceous lapilli unit. The Wonosari Formation was deposited at N 8 – N 10 (Middle Miocene). The depositional environment in research area started at Middle Neritic to Outer Neritic (depth of 20 to 200 metres) for Mandalika andesitic breccia unit. The tuffaceous lapiili was deposited at Middle Neritic (depth of 20 to 100 metres). The Wonosari limestone was deposited at Middle Neritic to Upper Bathyal (depth of 20 to 500 metres). Abstract

The Nanggulan Formation has a very narrow spread compared to other formations. In Kulon Progo formation has the oldest age in the Middle Eocene-Early Oligocene. This research is located on the Songgo River at coordinates 07 ° 44 '00.7 "S - 110 ° 12' 17.5" E to 07 ° 44 '15.3 "S - 110 ° 11' 53.6" E. This research intends to reveal the types of depositional environments that are developed along the Kali Songgo track using measured stratigraphic log analysis. The stratigraphic log's interpretation indicated lithofacies, facies associations, and the depositional environment. The lithofacies that compiled the research location based on lithological data and sedimentary structure can be divided into ten types: a.Bedded claystone, b.Laminated sandstone, c.Cross-bedding sandstone, d.Bedded sandstone, e.Bedded siltstone, f.Massive claystone, g.Laminated siltstone, h.Graded-bedding sandstone, i.Wavy sandstone, and j.Massive sandstone. Three facies associations are recognized based on the lithofacies grouping: 1. Mud flats, 2. Mixed flats, and 3. Sand flats. The depositional environment that developed along Kali Songgo track was Tidal flats.

Abstract

Gunung Kidul Regency, especially Ponjong District, is known as a barren or dry area, and always suffers from a lack of water to meet domestic needs. The Wonosari area and its surroundings have relatively productive aquifers locally. The purpose of this study was to determine the type, location, depth, thickness, and subsurface 3D modeling using the geoelectric method of Dipole-dipole and Schlumberger configurations. Based on the results of surface data, there are two springs in Grogol Hamlet which are interpreted as appearing because there are cracks in the subsurface rocks and springs in Sumberejo Hamlet which are interpreted as their appearance due to the controlling factor of the Sumberejo Sinistral Fault. Meanwhile, geoelectric data analysis shows the presence of rock layers as a confined aquifer in Garon Hamlet at a depth of 63-87 meters and in Dusun Sumberejo at a depth of 55-68 meters. Abstract

Characterization and potential of sand deposits in the Kabuh Formation at Mlale Region because gray-black sand deposits were found with magnetic properties, interpreted as iron sand. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics and potential of iron sand deposits. The research methods used are detailed observations, rock sampling, laboratory activities for petrology and XRF geochemical analysis, studio activities for data interpretation. The geological condition shows 1 – 3 meters gray-black sand deposits with +20 meters layer. The petrological analysis shows the grain size fine – coarse sand, slightly rounded – angular shape, opaque minerals is 66% megascopically and microscopically 23%. Sand deposits are interpreted as alluvial placer deposits from Nglanggran Formation and Kebobutak Formation at the Southern Mountains Zone, as well as the Anggota Banyak Kalibeng Formation and Pucangan Formation from Kendeng Zone. The enrichment factor is from magnetic minerals on source rock and the basin topography, but the destruction factor is not well developed. XRF geochemical analysis showed 4.41% Fe content and 7.71% hematite (Fe2O3) content. This grade can’t be processed and refined as metal mineral. Increasing the value can be better by filtering and separation.

Abstract

Gunung Kidul Regency, especially Ponjong District, in the period until 2019 there has been subsidence in several villages with different location points.The sinkhole that occurs has varying hole diameters and depths. The research method used is the surface geology method and the subsurface method which includes observations of morphology, rock and geological structures and subsurface including geoelectric data collection of the Schlumberger configuration. Based on the results of the occurrence of subsidence in the research area, there is a conclusion that in Bedoyo Village and its surroundings there are 2 types of subsidence, namely dropout sinkhole and suffosion sinkhole. The results of the analysis of surface and subsurface geological data show that there are 3 subsidence hazard zones in the study area, namely the vulnerable zone (55%), medium zone (38%), and low zone (7%).

Abstract

The Nanggulan Formation as the oldest formation in the Kulon Progo Mountains is not only exposed in a type location in the Nanggulan area, Kalibawang. However, in the western area of ​​the Sermo Reservoir, precisely in the hills around the Kokap, the Nanggulan Formation is found in several places. The existence of the Nanggulan Formation around the Sermo Reservoir is suspected to have triggered the occurrence of ground movements in this area. The purpose of this research is to map the ground motion. The purpose of the study was to determine the potential for ground motion in the study area. The research area is included in the southern Kulon Progo Dome Mountain Zone. This ground motion zoning mapping was carried out based on the AHP (methodAnalytical Hierarchy Process) using the weighted values ​​of four parameters. The parameters used are slope, lithology, land use and rainfall. The results of AHP processing using Arc GIS software produce a landslide susceptibility zoning map which is divided into 5 classes (very low, low, medium, high and very high). Based on the results of mapping using the AHP method, the most vulnerable area is Hargowilis Village which is composed of claystone lithology from the Nanggulan Formation. Abstract

Administratively the research area is included in the Dieng Volcano Complex which consists of several volcanoes that have slopes steep. The steep slope is one of the main occurrences of landslide movements. Determination of landslide-prone areas using a scoring method with GIS software with parameters such as slope, rock type, soil type class, rainfall, and land use. Based on these 5 parameters, the research area is divided into 3 low landslide-prone areas with a value of 33.00-52.00 with an area of ​​24.19% of the research area which is generally spread out in the northern part of the research area occupying areas with relatively gentler slopes. Areas prone to moderate landslides with a value of 52.01-61.00 with an area of ​​28.91% of the research area which are generally spread out in the middle of the research area occupy areas with relatively steep slopes. Areas prone to landslides are high with a value of 61.01-80.00 with an area of ​​46.90% of the research area which is generally spread in the uthern part of the researh area occupying areas with steep-very steep slopes. Abstract

Debris flow is one type of mass movement that occurs where a combination of loose soil, rock, organic materials, air, and water moves down to a slope. Debris flow usually occurs due to intense surface water flow and heavy rainfall, which erodes and mobilizes loose soil or rock on steep slopes. In the last decade, debris flow disaster have occurred in Lombok Regency which caused many casualties and infrastructure damage. The method used in this modeling is generated from the processing of the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data which is correlated with several parameters such as volume, friction, etc. Furthermore, the parameters determined are simulated using the RAMMS application. The results of this modeling are numerical data and zonation maps of debris flow prone areas. This Research is expected to be an effort to mitigate debris flow disasters around the Palung watershed, Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Abstract

Semin District is located in the eastern part of the Gunung Kidul mountains, precisely on the eastern slope of Gunung Kidul. This area slopes up to the foot of Mount Stage, is located on a fairly steep slope area making this area has a large potential for landslides, especially during the rainy season. In the past few years, from 2016-2020, the Gunung Kidul BMKG station in this area also often occurs landslides during the rainy season. The purpose of this paper is to map ground motion using the STORIE method. The purpose of writing the final report of this seminar are: To create a landslide susceptibility zoning map in Sirau Village using the STORIE method on a scale of 1:25,000. The research area is included in the "Wonosari Plateau" zone. Southern Mountain Zone of Java. The ground motion zoning mapping was carried out based on the STORIE method using the weighted values ​​of four parameters. The parameters used are slope, lithology, land use and rainfall. The results of STORIE processing using ArcGIS software produce a landslide susceptibility zoning map which is divided into 4 classes (very low, low, medium, high).
