Abstract

This research was aimed to develop a product in the form of guided inquiry-based student worksheet on the material of static fluid, and to describe the attractiveness, easiness, the benefit of using product, and the effectiveness of the product. The development included the potential and problems,  data collection, product design, design validation, revision design, product test, product revision, utiliy trial and production. The product of development result was the guided inquiry-based student worksheet. It was validated with the attractivenes score of 3,28 (very attractive), the easiness score of 3,33 (very easy), the benefit score of 3,19 (useful). The effectiveness level of the student worksheet was at approximately 80.00% of student reaching the minimal score of completeness (KKM). Therefore, the student worksheet is effectively used as a medium of learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan produk berupa LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi fluida statis, serta mendeskripsikan kemenarikan, kemudahan, kemanfaatan, dan keefektifan produk. Pengembangan tersebut meliputi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk, revisi produk, uji coba pemakaian,dan produksi. Hasil pengembangan menghasilkan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Produk akhir sudah valid dalam aspek kemenarikan dengan skor 3,28 (sangat menarik), untuk  aspek kemudahan dengan skor 3,33 (sangat mudah), aspek kemanfaatan dengan skor 3,19 (bermanfaat). Tingkat keefektifan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi fluida statis yaitu sebanyak 80,00% siswa telah mencapai KKM. Sehingga LKS dikatakan efektif digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran.Kata kunci: fluida statis, inkuiri terbimbing, LKS, media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan efektivitas pengetahuan inkuiri guru dalam pembelajaran sains, dan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan konsep ilmu pengetahuan alam melalui pemodelan.  Peneliti sebagai model dan guru Sains sebagai siswa.  Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Quota Sampling yaitu pengambilan unsur sampel secara sembarang sampai terpenuhi jumlah yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada empat puluh delapan orang guru SD di Kota Bandar Lampung yang dilaksanakan dari April sampai Juni 2015. Guru yang dilibatkan berasal dari SD yang berlokasi di kota, semi-kota dan pinggiran-kota Bandar Lampung. Variabel yang diamati yaitu; konsepsi awal, hasil belajar, dan kemampuan inkuiri. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui tes, dan data kualitatif diperoleh melalui kuesioner, dan dianalisis dengan statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Kemampuan konsep sains guru yang mengalami pembelajaran melalui inkuiri secara signifikan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kemampuan konsep sains guru yang mengalami pembelajan konvensional.

Abstract

Research on sustainability literacy among high school students, particularly in the context of energy use and alternative energy, is limited, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. This study aims to fill this gap by developing and validating an instrument to assess sustainability literacy focused on alternative energy. Using the 4D model (define, design, develop, disseminate), the instrument was evaluated by two university lecturers and one high school teacher, achieving a validity score of 84.8%, classified as very good. A readability test with 10 students yielded a score of 91.8%, indicating easy comprehension. The instrument was tested on 70 students, and Rasch analysis, performed using Ministep software, revealed a strong fit with infit and outfit Mean Square (MNSQ) values close to 1.00 and Z-standard (ZSTD) values near 0.00. Reliability scores were 0.82 for knowledge, 0.84 for abilities, and 0.80 for mindset, indicating the instrument's dependability. Overall item reliability exceeded 0.90, confirming the tool's consistency. This validated instrument is a practical and reliable tool for assessing sustainability literacy in high school students, particularly in alternative energy education, and can support educational efforts aimed at mitigating climate change through enhanced understanding of sustainable energy solutions.

Abstract

This study aims to validate the Student Worksheet titled "ESD-Climate Change," developed using the Understanding by Design approach and complemented by Micro:bit devices. The validation was conducted by three experts, including two academic experts in education and one distinguished educator. Main findings from this study is the validation results reveal that this worksheet adheres to high standards. The "Content" dimension achieved a score of 84.33%, labeled "Very Suitable," signifying its strong relevance to climate change-related learning objectives. The "Construct" dimension garnered a score of 79.17%, categorized as "Suitable," indicating potential for improvement in some construction aspects. The "Language" dimension received an impressive score of 85.90%, also labeled "Very Suitable," highlighting its excellent language quality and communication proficiency. Finally, the "Design" dimension received the highest score of 95.18%, categorized as "Very Suitable," affirming the worksheet's strong design, encompassing its cover and content presentation. Overall, these findings underscore the worksheet's high quality in terms of content, language, and design, with minimal room for improvement in the construction aspect. This study contributes to the development of technology and environment-centered educational materials, which are increasingly pertinent in addressing future challenges associated with climate change.Keywords: ESD, computational thinking, creative problem solving

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of practicum activities assisted by the Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite (PTSS) application with the discovery learning model in improving students' graph interpretation skills. The research employed an experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design and was conducted at SMA S Global Madani Bandar Lampung. The instrument used was an essay test on pendulum and spring subtopics. The results showed that the N-gain of the experimental class was in the high category (0.71), while the control class was in the medium category (0.50). The Mann-Whitney hypothesis test produced a significant value (0.001 < 0.05), indicating a difference in the average improvement of graph interpretation skills between the two classes. Furthermore, the effect size test yielded a d'Cohen value of 0.841, categorized as high. These findings suggest that practicum activities based on discovery learning with the PTSS application significantly enhance students' graph interpretation skills compared to manual practicum activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to findout the effectiveness of module with inquiry model to improve the student’s scientific process skill to wards heat material. The research design used was quasi-experimental design in the form of nonequivalent pretest-postest control group design. Based on the results of the effectiveness test, it was known that the value of n-gain experimental class was 0.62. It was greater than the control class with the score was 0.40. Student's scientificprocess skills also increased for each indicator. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the module by using inquiry modelwasthe effectiveto improve the student's scientific process skills. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas modul untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan proses sains  siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design dalam bentuk nonequivalent pretes-postes control group design. Berdasarkan hasil uji efektivitas, maka diketahui bahwa nilai n-gain kelas eksperimen (0,62) > kelas kontrol (0,40). Keterampilan proses sains siswa mengalami peningkatan untuk setiap indikator. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul dengan model inkuiri telah efektif dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan proses sains siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using contextual learning module based on multiple representations of static fluid material toward students' conceptual understanding. The sample of this research was the students of class XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3 in SMA N 1 Trimurjo, Central Lampung. This research was conducted using Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data were tested with N-gain analysis, normality test, homogeneity test and Independent Sample T-test. Results from the Independent Sample T-test value of the Sig value. (2-Tailed) was less than 0.05 which is 0.036, then it can be stated that there is a significant influence of contextual learning module based on multiple representations toward the students’ conceptual understanding. Based on the N-gain value, the average N-gain concept comprehension in the experimental class was 0.56 (medium category), while the control class was 0.46 (medium category). Contextual learning modules based on multiple representations can improve students’ conceptual understanding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan (pengetahuan dan keterampilan) inkuiri dan tanggapan mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Universitas Lampung dalam perkuliahan Pendidikan Sains SD. Pelaksanaan penelitiannya dengan model belajar inkuiri secara pemodelan, dimana mahasiswa PGSD berperan sebagai pebelajar SD, dan peneliti sebagai model pengajar SD. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Quota Sampling, yaitu pengambilan sampel secara acak sampai terpenuhi jumlah yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 72 orang mahasiswa, dan dilaksanakan mulai Maret sampai Juni 2016.Variabel kemampuan inkuiri diperoleh melalui tes pilihan jamak, dan tanggapan mahasiswa diperoleh melalui angket, Data dianalisis dengan statistik berbantuan komputer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: kemampuan inkuiri mahasiswa PGSD setelah mengikuti perkuliah Sains SD melalui model belajar inkuiri dengan pemodelan, secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan model belajar inkuiri dengan konvensional. Pada kelompok eksperimen tampak menunjukkan antusias, dan memberikan tanggapan positip, mahasiswa PGSD berharap mata kuliah yang berlabel SD dapat dilaksanakan dengan model belajar inkuiri dengan pemodelan.The Inquiry Abilities Comparison of The Students of Primary Teacher Training Program in Science LearningThis research aims to describe the inquiry ability (knowledge and skill) and the response from students of Elementary School Teachers Education (PGSD) Lampung University towards Elementary School (SD) Science Education Lecture. The research is done with modeling the inquiry learning model, where PGSD students play as SD learners and the researcher as SD teacher model. The sampling technique used is Quota Sampling, which means random sampling until fulfilled the number wanted. This research is done on 72 students and starts from March to June 2016. Inquiry ability of variable achieved from the multiple-choice test, and the student's response achieved through a questionnaire. The data analysis is using computerized statistics. The research results that the inquiry ability of PGSD students after following SD Science Lecture through modeling inquiry learning model, significantly higher than the conventional inquiry learning model.  On experimental group seems enthusiasm, and gives a positive response, PGSD students hope the SD labeling lectures can be done by modeling inquiry learning model

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan LKS berbasis inkuiri untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada materi suhu dan kalor. Desain yang digunakan pada penelitan ini adalah One group pretest posttest design. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji N- gain dan one sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan LKS ini dinyatakan efektif sebagai inovasi pembelajaran berdasarkan indikator keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi yaitu menganalisis (C4) dan mencipta (C6) masuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan N-gain 0,70 sedangkan untuk mengevaluasi diperoleh diperoleh N-gain 0,72. Efektivitas LKS berbasis keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi terbukti berpengaruh untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi berdasarkan perolehan hasil menggunakan effect size sebesar 0,6 untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi sedangkan untuk mencipta 0,7.The Effectiveness of Inquiry-Based Student Worksheets to Improve The Higher-Order Thinking SkillsThis research is intended to know the effectiveness of worksheet based on an inquiry to grow the higher order thinking on temperature and heat. The design which is used in this research is one group pretest-posttest design. The data analysis technique was performed by using the N-gain test and one sample t-test. The result of this research shows that Student Worksheet is effective as learning innovation based on high level thinking the skill that is analyzing (C4) and creating (C6) into a high category with N-gain 0,70 while to evaluate obtained N-gain 0,72 (height). Student Worksheet effectiveness based on high-level thinking skill proved influential in cultivating high-level thinking skills based on the results obtained using effect size of 0.6 to analyze and evaluate while to create 0.7.
