Abstract

Online learning during the covid-19 pandemic has made students less active in conveying their aspirations and thoughts which makes students feel bored. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between academic stress and student motivation in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic at STIKes Husada Jombang. This research uses a correlational analysis research design with a cross sectional approach. The research population was all students of STIKes Husada Jombang S1 Nursing and D3 Midwifery, with a sample of some students as many as 45 people. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with the simple random sampling method. Data collection using questionnaires and data analysis with Spearmen Rank test. Based on the Spearmen Rank test showsr value 0.000 (rvalue < 0.05). So H1 is accepted, which means that there is a relationship between academic stress and student learning motivation in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic at the STIKes Husada Jombang. Based on this research, it is known that the academic stress level most experienced by respondents is high stress, while for learning motivation the most experienced by respondents is low learning motivation. There is a relationship between academic stress and student learning motivation in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic at the STIKes Husada Jombang. From the results of this study, it is expected that students can learn and understand good stress management in dealing with stress and educational institutions can create a comfortable teaching and learning atmosphere with new learning methods so that students do not feel bored in online learning.

Abstract

Hypertension is a world health issue that has been dubbed the silent killer disease. One of the factors that influence the incidence of hypertension is body weight. Body mass index is very influential on the incidence of hypertension, where excess body mass index can trigger the occurrence of hypertension risk factors that are higher than someone with a normal body mass index. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between body mass index and blood pressure in patients with hypertension The research design used analytic with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was some hypertensive patients who visited the cardiac polyclinic of Husada Utama Hospital Surabaya during June-July 2022 who met the research criteria as many as 85 respondents. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling approach. The dependent variable in this study was body mass index. The independent variable in this study was blood pressure. The data collection instruments used in this study were questionnaire sheets and observation sheets. Test data analysis using the Spearman Rho rank test. From the results of the Spearman Rho rank correlation test, the value of sig (2-tailed) is 0.000 < (0.05), so the research hypothesis is accepted which means that there is a relationship between body mass index and blood pressure in patients with hypertension at the Cardiology Clinic of Husada Utama Hospital Surabaya with correlation strength in the strong category (0.629). Proper management of body mass index will prevent a person from the risk of an increase in blood pressure and avoid the risk of non-communicable diseases

Abstract

Continuous use of gadgets can affect children's daily activities. Gadget addiction also makes children vulnerable to disturbed sleep patterns. Purpose of this study to determine the relationship between gadget addiction and sleep patterns of MI Miftahul Ulum students in Sapon Village, Kesamben District, Jombang Regency. Descriptive correlation study with a cross-sectional approach in MI Miftahul Ulum students of Sapon Village, Kesamben District, Jombang Regency. 38 samples were obtained using purposive sampling. Data collection through SDCC questionnaire sheet and smartphone addiction questionnaire. Data analysis with Spearman Rank test. Results showed that most of respondents experienced moderate gadget addiction, 26 respondents (68.4%). Almost all respondents had poor sleep patterns of 20 respondents (52.6%). According to spearman rank test, the α value is 0.000 (a <0.05), then H1 can be accepted and H0 cannot be accepted, showed that there is a relationship between gadget addiction and sleep patterns of MI Miftahul Ulum students in Sapon Village, Kesamben District, Jombang Regency. Gadget addiction has a significant impact on student sleep patterns. Students are expected to use gadgets as needed by understanding the functions, benefits and impacts of gadgets. Preventive measures, education and supervision are needed.

Abstract

Background: Biological, cognitive, and socioemotional changes occur during adolescence, the time between childhood and maturity. While gadgets have many benefits, excessive use may also be detrimental. Devices are tools that can be utilized for both educational and recreational purposes. Objectives: Finding out the mental and behavioral traits of teenagers with technology addiction is the aim of this study. Methods: This study uses a descriptive quantitative research approach and a cross-sectional technique. The study's sample consisted of one hundred youths, ages thirteen to fifteen. A random selection technique was used to choose the sample of teenagers from SMPN 1 Peterongan. Descriptions were part of the data analysis for this investigation. Results: Of the answers, 57% were from men. Only a tiny minority of teenagers suffer from mental and behavioral disorders, including social challenges, emotional issues, behavioral changes, inattention, and difficulties with peer interactions, whereas 52% of them have a modest level of gadget addiction. It is feasible to conclude that adolescent gadget addiction can result in mental and behavioral issues.   Conclusion: Since parental monitoring is essential to preventing adolescents' growing addiction to electronic devices and behavioral changes, the author makes recommendations for further study that involves parents as a way to address the problem of gadget addiction in teenagers.

Abstract

Background: Lack of knowledge about proper foot hygiene is a risk factor for diabetic foot ulcers in patients with diabetes mellitus. Health education using booklets is seen as an educational strategy that can improve understanding and practice of foot care. Objective: This study aims to analyze the effect of health education using booklet media on foot hygiene care in diabetes mellitus patients at the Melia Medika Pamekasan Clinic. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest approach with a control group. The sample consisted of 46 respondents, divided into an intervention group and a control group of 23 respondents each, selected using a simple random sampling technique. The intervention group received health education using a booklet, while the control group received health education without a booklet. Data were collected using a foot hygiene care questionnaire and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: The analysis showed a difference in foot hygiene scores before and after the intervention in the group receiving health education using booklets (p < 0.05). Changes in scores in the control group did not show a significant increase compared to the intervention group. Conclusion: Health education using booklets has significantly improved foot hygiene care in patients with diabetes mellitus. Booklets can be used as a supportive educational tool for the ongoing prevention of diabetic foot complications.
